Not able to rate the food because we never got any. We sat down and had our drinks within a few minutes. A couple of minutes later about 8 – 10 people sat next to us. Our waitress took their drink order, then brought all our drinks. After we sat there about 20 minutes, she takes their food order. Before ours. So we got up and left.

The service is usually good here, but I have a confession: This place was better when it catered to smokers and 2 a.m. drunks. On my most recent visit I had chicken fried steak and eggs. The eggs were fine. The CFS was reminiscent of the version I was served in my junior high cafeteria, and the gravy had the consistency of cold pudding. — The time prior to this visit yielded slightly better food. The time before that was blah. In other words, this place is a crapshoot these days. It wasn’t that long ago that this place had one of the best burgers in town. And breakfasts too. I’m sure I’ll visit again … and again. And I’ll update my review accordingly.

Extremely rude! Six of us walked in and the server was talking with another server and looks over her shoulder at us and real snotty says«y’all can sit wherever you want» and looks away. I couldn’t wait to see how this could get better. We sat down and 2 of us had a Starbucks coffee in our hands. She walls over and again in that great snotty tone says«y’all can’t drink that coffee in here» Had her attitude been different from the start and if it said in a different way I would have said no problem I’ll throw it away or put it in my car. But this lady didn’t want us there from the time we walked in so we said ok we can go somewhere else and got up. She happily said ok as we left. Seriously is business so good you can let 6 customers leave and never have our business again? I understand a place not wanting you to bring in outside food but there’s a polite way to ask. Our family who took us there says they have been there before and brought drinks in with no problem. This lady(I wish I got her name) just didn’t want us there from the start. Wish I could rate their food but never got that far.

Friendly waitresses and good food! Better than Any other diner in the area, in my opinion. I love supporting local restaurants, instead of franchises…

We were in Longview working a tattoo convention and love to try the local restaurants. Our first breakfast stop was lack luster but the waffle shop was great! Food was delicious and our server, Miranda, was friendly and helpful. My husband couldn’t find the meal he wanted but she pointed him right to it. My waffle was yummy and shaped like Texas(sure do love Texans and their state pride) and the bacon was thick and not burnt. My hubby’s biscuit was homemade, definitely get one.

This is a great hole in the wall place to come and get breakfast/brunch. The same servers have been there since I can remember. They are nice, and the restaurant operates a bit like a diner, with weird doorbells indicating if a server’s food is up. I had the most excellent breakfast burrito last time I was here. The pancakes are good, and they have many omelette options. There are countless regulars that come here every day, which is an indicator of consistent food and service.

Driving through Longview we wanted to find a place to eat breakfast. We stopped here and found the place not crowded. It’s a typical diner set-up with booths. The service was fast. I ordered French toast and it was good. I can tell that it must be a nice local place as the waitress talked to repeat customers. I would eat there again.
