It’ll Do Deli

AMAZING SANDWICHES. I bought a panini press for my house just because of the sandwich I had here. Multiple types of cheese and cream cheese In a veggie panini. Need I say more? As a visitor to Longview it is a MUST.

This was my first experience here & I LOVED the House Panini! I found this little gem through Unilocal & placed a catering order by phone for pick-​up. My order was ready on time, reasonably priced, and delicious. The owners were very helpful and friendly when I called. Everyone in my group raved on their sandwiches! I will definitely be coming here more often.

Most awesome place in East Texas… If your looking for a CLEAN … Family owned and operated Deli. Where the family is preparing your sandwiches the only way they should be, grilled hot bread –awesome– look no farther. This is the coolest place to grab a quick home made sandwich. If there was a 6^th star they would get it. Julie and Kevin run a top notch facility … The sandwiches all have a taste of history also with Names like Sinatra, Buster. Bada-​Bing, Boathouse and plenty more. Stop by the it’ll do deli. and you will be back for a second round.

No doubt, the best sandwiches in town … and many other towns, for that matter. I’ve been a semi-​regular here since they operated from a 50-​square-​foot box down to the road. Everything made to order with top notch ingredients.

Yummy! I always get the same sandwich, they have good prices and portions, it’s locally owned, exceptionally friendly. The owner here was remarkably kind on a particular occasion when I was having one of those days, you know the ones!
If u haven’t tried the frozen yogurt, you’re missing out!
Only complaint is they have limited operating schedule, if love to eat here on weekends too!

I have to admit, I was annoyed at my wife for picking this place so far off the highway, but this was so much better than the usual frontage road fare.
It’ll Do is a little place with just a few two top tables. We walked in and we were immediately greeted and felt welcome. We ordered and waited for our lunch.
All in all, the four of us tried different sandwiches which were all good along with the gumbo and cream of potato.
If we were in or near Longview and not in a rush, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. (Thanks honey!)

The“boathouse” is my absolute favorite sandwich here. It’s a chicken salad, avocado, tomatoes, jalepeno, spinach, Monterey cheese mouth watering panni delight!

I do not know what it was that I ordered, but all I can say is it was a mucky icky mess of slimy crap. It was some sort of Pannini… gross to the max… will never go there again. YUK

The sandwiches are good, but on the small side for the price. You probably don’t want to go here if you’re very hungry. My wife just corrected me, «If you’re a GUY and very hungry don’t go here.»
We did enjoy the atmosphere and found the owners to be super friendly and helpful in making our sandwich selections.
Would I go here again? If someone else in my party wanted to go I wouldn’t object, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Looking for a fresh idea? This could be for you! I love the atmosphere-​hometown goodness. If the weather is pleasant, enjoy your meal outside. Map this one so you can find it. Longviewites know it’s across from Kroger’s. Great sandwiches, wraps and yogurt!

The bada bing is off the chain! Literally much better than the standard sandwich chain restaurant. If you are a salami lover like myself then this is the sandwich for you. Not only does it have salami but it also comes with spinach, spicy mustard, provolone and cheddar cheese. For $ 7.00 you receive the sandwich, pickle and chips — not a bad deal.
I was lucky enough to beat the lunch rush but if you aren’t, the parking is limited as well as the seating. Like many reviewers said I suggest calling ahead with your order.
This place is a little hard to find if you are not from Longview. It’s located right next to the jack in the box.
P.S don’t ask what brand of mayo (or any kind of sauce) they use — big no no. You would breaking their golden rule.

I never got to actually eat there thanks to the guy who was taking orders the day my husband and I went in the first time for lunch. I read the menu while we waited to order and was looking forward to trying several tempting selections listed. I asked the guy taking orders how they made their chicken salad and was told it was a secret. I told him I just really wanted to know if it had grapes and pecans or if it was made with pineapple, etc. He still wouldn’t answer and proceeded to tell me if I had such «an attitude» that I should probably order something else. I couldn’t believe that someone with absolutely no people skills would be put on the front counter to take orders let alone be allowed to have any contact with the customers. Not only was he apparently ignorant of the whole customer service concept, he was arrogant, combative, a little bit psycho and plain old fashioned RUDE!
Now if he had had the intelligence to simply answer my question, or better yet offer me a sample spoonful, he would have had 2 new happy customers instead of 2 unhappy non-​customers who take every opportunity to tell others about this extremely negative experience.
I told him that I wouldn’t be ordering anything that day or any other day and we walked out. Bottom line for me is that could be the last food establishment on the planet and I wouldn’t set foot in the place.
I see the other reviews are positive so maybe he was fired or at least taken off the front counter. Good luck to the rest of you.

Have only been once, but was a nice little deli place. Friendly service and sandwich was tasty. Would go back again.

I can’t get enough of this place! I’m not sure if I’ve eaten there every day in a single week yet, but I’ve come close! Great food, the price is right, and you genuinely get enough to eat, especially if you get one of their fabulous stuffed peppers.

Love the food, great price. Boathouse is my favorite. The owners are great.

We get sandwiches to go here at least once a month. The unique combinations of ingredients are amazing. I like the «Ba-​Da-​Bing», my husband likes the «Fat-​Boy» (for obvious reasons). Don’t forget to add a Gypsy (Jalapeño stuffed with Pimiento Cheese).

Cute little place that serves delicious, original sandwiches! My first time in, I asked the co-​owner what the most popular choice was. He told me it was the Boathouse. The Boathouse is something I would have NEVER chosen if he hadn’t recommended it. It is chicken salad, avocado, tomato, jalapeño, jack cheese, spinach, mayo and seasoning on grilled bread.
Definitely not healthy, but it is so good. They also made a great veggie sandwich!
Only open Mon– Fri.

a great local place that offers a great lunch bargain. All prices are listed with tax — about 80% of the sandwiches are $ 7 and come with a pickle and chips. We love the It’ll Do Deli!

I love this place. It’s only a couple of blocks from my office so we lunch there at least once a week. A great variety of panini style sandwiches with imaginative combinations and great fresh ingredients. Owners Kevin and Julie are wonderfully friendly and if you visit more than once, they will remember you.
Great fast service, but you might want to call ahead, as this is a very busy place at lunch.
