Tiff’s LIC (k) Dogwalking & Playgroups, LLC provides urban dogs the opportunity to not only walk but run and play unleashed in groups at a local outdoor dogrun. Not only does this allow a much needed energy release for them, it also gives them the opportunity to socialize with other dogs and to just BE a dog!

Tiff’s LIC (k) uses both the Vernon Boulevard dogrun and the Hunters Point South Park dogrun by the East River. We provide our service to dogs who live between 46^th Avenue and Borden Avenue, Jackson Avenue to the River.

History

Established in 2007.

Tiff’s LIC (k) Dogwalking & Playgroups, LLC actually began as LIC Dogwalking in May of 2007. As a favor to a friend, I would walk her dogs for her in the evening while she attended to her newborn baby’s needs. Thomson & Bailey, two Pulis, were such a cute pair, I would always get stopped and questioned. Then folks started asking for my business card, which I didn’t have as I was just doing a favor.

But as time passed, and my «break» from the working world was nearing an end, I was wisely ordered to get business cards by my friend, and LIC Dogwalking was born. I walked from 3PM-10:30PM, Mon-​Fri, in the beginning.

My first playgroup was formed 6 months later with two females, Pope, a Blue Healer, and Nola, a Boggle. A year later I hired my first assistant walker and expanded business to a 12:30PM start.

Today, LIC Dogwalking is now Tiff’s LIC (k) Dogwalking & Playgroups, LLC and 4 assistant walkers strong, with plenty of room for more pups to join us for love and play!

I was born an animal lover in Cocoa Beach, Fla. I grew up in rural North Carolina (some would call it «the sticks») and always had dogs and cats that roamed free in the woods, corn and tobacco fields that surrounded my house. There was always a new stray creature that needed food and shelter and a young girl to dote on them! Then my Mom became a vet tech and for the next 20 years, more creatures were fostered in and outside our home. We cared for possums, squirrels, raccoons and baby ducks too! Years later, in the city, I have several cats, and have even fostered a few puppies. But I still feel so strongly that dogs need to roam free, off leash. With Tiff’s LIC (k) Dogwalking & Playgroups, LLC, I am so happy to be able to provide that to my city dogs every day of the week!
