Republica must hire ex cons, they have the worst drivers I have ever encountered. They are unprofessional, combative and extremely aggressive. I prefer to ride without music or the radio on, every time I ask them to please turn it off, an argument pursues. Who’s paying the fare? and who is the customer? I am done with a company that exposes their customers to the aggressive outbursts of their drivers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. There are so many more to choose from.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. I have been using them on and off over the past two month for service to work in Brooklyn and Manhattan. All in all I have called them at least 20 times and the service (price) has never been consistent. For instance — today I took a cab to mid town Manhattan from Elmhurst. Over the past month I have been taking cabs to and from this location. The flat rate has always been $ 20 or $ 25. One time it was $ 30. Today it’s $ 45. The driver apologized and called the station and the guy said no. That was the price. He even questioned the fact that I have been taking cabs there. Never again. This is NYC and it’s not they’re the only game in town.
It’s too bad that there just not reliable.

I’m a regular and often times go to East New York or Astoria in the early morning. Their prices are fair, and compared to the other companies in the area, a better deal. The drivers are genuinely friendly and engage in conversation, but many are quick to leave you alone if peace and quiet or nap time is what you need. They are also very attentive and accommodating to their customers (in case a very rare discrepancy with the driver arises). Just call the base. During crazy snow and sleet, its a given that cabs will be in high demand and are limited. Inquire about the availability and let them know you’re willing to wait. They’ll try their best to get one to you, with an ETA.
