I wish Josh from Joyride owned a restaurant and a bar and a gym I’d keep him in business for a lifetime. As a small business owner myself I know what goes into quality products and service; it’s hard. Josh does it with ease. If you want to rent a bike this is where you do it. He personalizes the bike fit for you and makes sure you are comfortable and informed before you have your joyful ride around the city or in and around brooklyn (favorite part of the ride) and queens. Which, if you haven’t decided yet that riding around the city is something you should do, you should. I’ve lived in NYC for 10 years and it’s like i’m seeing it for the first time. Also if you are debating «should I rent a citibike or a bike rental?» go for this. The citbike’s service is great, I love it. But these bikes are like WOW. Sooo much nicer of a ride and you don’t have to race around to make sure you get to a station in time. All the stars and all the thumbs up for this experience.

Great service. Josh really took care of me. He set me up with a great bike and lock and even walked me through various routes to take in the city. He even offered to come assist me at anytime if something went wrong with the bike. This service is a great deal because of the superior service and equipment, and because it allows you much more flexibility and freedom than Citibikes.

Very informal setup. Josh was very helpful in providing basic info about the bike and demonstrating the handling of the equipment provided with the bike. A biking map of NYC is also provided for those who are unsure of which route to take. The bike was in great condition, and took the nearly 50 miles I put it through, very smooth. Josh drops off the bike at your place and comes back to pick it up, so no excuses for lazy bums like me. Get on one of Joyride’s bikes and move that ass around NYC!!!

Joyride NYC really is «as good as it gets.» Josh, the owner, is unbelievably attentive and customer-​focused. He delivered my bike to my hotel exactly on time, gave me advice and equipment I needed, offered to come over to Manhattan from Queens when I pulled a flat, and then picked up the bike from the bell man when I wasn’t there. Paperwork was all on the Internet; couldn’t be easier. And, best of all, the bike was a first quality, well-​tuned machine — not super fancy, but certainly ideal for the paths and roads in NYC. I couldn’t be happier with the service. If you need a bike in NYC, USE THIS GUY!

Stayed at The Local NYC and was recommended by the staff to check out Joyride to rent a bike for the week. Was blown away by the bike that Josh, the owner, brought over. Awesome bike. Tuned and ready to go. Josh was very attentive throughout the prices from booking to delivery to pickup at the end of my week long rental period. Bike came with everything you need including lights, Kryptonite lock, and a helmet if you didn’t bring one (I opted out since I brought my helmet from home). Looking forward to renting from Joyride again when I visit New York next year. =)

I love the bikes, and had a great time biking around NY. The owner is super dedicated to provide you the best customer service, he is fully available for everything you need. The bikes are brand new, modern technology and super comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this place. The bike’s quality is significantly superior than other place, and is also cheaper. Finally the owner is extremely reliable and he is always available to help you.

Josh at Yoyride NYC was a pleasure to do business while I was staying at The Local NY hostel in Queens, NY. They delivered a quality hybrid bicycle to my location along with picking it up after I was done bicycling. They included a bicycle map with some suggestions on where to bicycle which was a big help to me. They also had extra lights for no cost if a person was interested in driving at night.
