Straight forward: try paying less or even getting more, I’d be interested to know how many places you’ll visit before you realize it’s a waste of time. This place is the place. If you know then you know. If you didn’t now you do.
I’ve been renting here for about five years. My friends always rent here when they ask for recommendations. My family has rented here for half a century. Bless this building.
* Receptionists: LOVELY LOVE THEM ALL! * Porters: my dudes! Always going beyond for the customers.
* Manager: A solid guy. In defense of Glen, in response to the angry guy above, he’s a manager, he does his job which is to be the bad cop sometimes, and he is also nice whenever he has the opportunity. If you don’t read the rules you gotta pay the fees yo. He does plenty of ‘going beyond,’ especially when you remember he’s the manager!
PS the building is Godzilla-​proof and if they’re open during a nuclear attack or epic flood at the end if the world, ill be hiding here. Climate controlled yo.

Best storage space I’ve used in NYC. Laura was very sweet and amazingly helpful, from helping me decide what size space I needed, to every one of my visits thereafter. The guys working in the storage space were extremely kind and helpful too. Highly recommend!

I moved my small biz into a 400sf space here last December. From my first visit to this very day, I could not be more pleased. Every single employee here is extremely courteous and helpful, always accommodating in every way. And the value is excellent, too!
Overall, five stars aren’t sufficient for the nice people here and my great experience.

First of all their Manager GLEN was very rude over the phone. I like a paper trail so I sent an email stating that I would be vacating the unit at the end of the month. Up until today the 12^th of the month I had not heard back from them. I ended up calling to follow up and he said that if I wanted to leave, notice had to be given the month before. What!!!
CURRENT AND NEW CUSTOMERS!!! BE SURE THAT YOU GIVE THEM AT LEAST 35 – 40 DAYS NOTICE OR THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE NEXT MONTH!!!
I did not realize if I wanted to leave at the end of June that I had to write a few days before MAY ended? His exact words were that I think that I am SPECIAL. Because I insisted that I did not want to be charged for July!!! Back from the first day I dealt with these people it was a bait and switch. The first manager I dealt with promised so many things and never followed through.
The girls that work in the front in the reception area are much more «professional» than their own MANAGER! If he can’t handle the pressure of dealing with people, he should look for a less challenging job that he can actually handle! Possibly dog-​walking. Not sure if he’d excel, he may kick the dogs! I am happy to get out of there!!!
There are soooo many other good, clean and cheaper places to store your personal belongings. This is definitely not the place to do it. Because you don’t have a ceiling in your unit everything gets dusty. Plus they have a lot of commercial customers that take over all of the parking spaces and the freight elevator when you need to move stuff in or out of your unit. So you basically need to wait forever, or park far away and carry your belongings. Very unprofessional business!!! They need to do better with their customer service as well. Also, unless you are new customer that wants to rent a unit, do not expect a reply to any concerns to the forms that you fill out on their crappy horribly built website.
I’d rather not give them any stars but seems that I have no choice.

I’ve been a costumer here for four years. It’s the best deal I’ve found in town. The staff is always friendly to me. It’s really simple. You pay your rent. You store your stuff. It’s not rocket science, yanno!

I’m moving my small business into a large storage space there, and all I can say is that the people there couldn’t possibly be nicer or more helpful. They gave me a free week to start wiring for electricity and install phone/​internet, and will be charging me month to month.
By the way, referring to some of the other comments about this place, there’s a big sign right on the front desk that they require 30 days notice if you’re vacating, so those people complaining about this are just not paying attention.
Based on my experience with the people and the place so far, I am very pleased and looking forward to a pleasant working environment with a responsive staff.

For one, yes, they do raise your rent within a few months after you’ve moved in. I was quoted $ 80 a month with every fourth month free; I never ended up getting that free month and by the time I moved out it was 107 a month. They feed on your inherent laziness… Beyond that, they are running several businesses, probably illegally, out of the space. So good luck trying to get on the elevator or get a cart to move your stuff or, better yet, even a parking space. There is a Red Bull car parked at the dock all the time and several other Rasta Monsta type energy drink caravans. A moving company also works out of there and there are just random products — chocolate covered pretzels anyone? — being stored upstairs. They also let random construction crews assemble pieces of metal in their parking lot. If that doesn’t stop you, how do you feel about mouse/​rat droppings scattered all over your Ming vase or grandma’s favorite doily?

Do not under any circumstances buy boxes or storage supplies here unless you’re desperate, wealthy, and enjoy being price-​gouged.
Do yourself a favor: Plan ahead and buy boxes and storage supplies at Home Depot where they cost about 500% less.

It’s a storage place, so I wasn’t expecting much.
My issue with this place is when it came time to leave — I vacated my unit a few days into the month, only to find out (after cancelling the unit) that they would not pro-​rate the month, and charged me for the full month.
Why should I be charged for 25 days (days during which I am no longer allowed to use the unit)? That question was met with blank stares, and a follow-​up letter went unanswered.
If you need to store stuff here, keep a close eye on their business practices. If I had to do it again I sure wouldn’t give them my credit card number.
