We have additional menu items including 8oz. hamburgers/cheese burgers, veggie burgers, salads, and sea food items as well. Our side items are crispy onion rings, steak cut French fries, zucchini sticks, and fried mushrooms. We serve corn on the cob with hot butter drizzled on top. We are also known to have the best milkshakes. We use Haagen Daaz ice cream. We have a full bar and alcohol drinks as well.

History

Established in 1928.

We are celebrating our 85th year on the Jersey shore. We remain the number one hotdog restaurant and have had recognition from all over the world. We have had articles published in the New York Times, Star Ledger, and Asbury Park Press. We have been featured on the Martha Stewart show, and John Stewart himself raved about us on the Daily Show. We are one of a kind. There is only ONE Max’s Hotdogs. In 2012, the first ever Max’s Hotdog Food Truck was launched and is able to bring our gourmet food to people all over the tri-state area.

Meet the Business Owner

Jennifer M.

Business Owner

I am third generation of Max’s Famous Hotdogs. My grandfather was known as Max and after he passed away in 1980 my father Bob inherited the business. for the past 33 years, my dad owned and operated Max’s. Unfortunately this past June 2013, my father passed away. The restaurant will continue to run with myself, my husband Jake, my mother Madeline, and my sister Michele and her husband Ivan. We are so proud and humbled to be a part of this business. There are few if any 85+ year old thriving restaurants left on the shores of New Jersey. My father was responsible for this. I miss you very much Dad and I love you. I promise to keep our legacy going for as long as I can.
