This place is decent if your looking for a burger, hot dog, and some ice-cream. The root beer float is yummy. The place is always packed on weekends and the wait is usually 20 minutes. However, this is typical of all restaurants near the boardwalk. Food is not over priced and you can be seated inside or outside.

I couldn’t finish my meal — the grilled chicken wrap was tasteless and soda was watery. The only reason we have 2 stars here is because of the cheese fries. Not especially affordable if I have to throw the majority of my meal away.

It’s okay. I always have a cheeseburger and disco fries. The cheeseburger is kind of dry and average, about what you’d expect once you see how many people come through this place on a daily basis. It’s always packed during the summer and the wait is usually really long. The disco fries are good but at the same time weird because their brown gravy is really bad. It has a weird consistency and and tastes very off. Once I had a buffalo chicken cheesesteak here that was really good! It’s one of the cheaper things in the pier village so I see why it’s always so busy. The staff has always been pleasant to me, but they are slow.

Dropped by while walking around the beach and decided to stay for some root beer that they are known for. It was pretty crowded, but I was able to get outdoor seating with my friends without waiting too long. The place is very very dirty, which was disconcerting… but I guess expected since people are coming in from the beach and all. My friends and I all ordered a rootbeer, which, for the price, I expected a larger portion. But actually, the glass cup is deceiving. It was more like, half cup of rootbeer, with a small scoop of foamy ice cream. We got the wrong order of fries at first too, but once we got the right order of large chilli cheese fries, it didn’t taste very good. The chili and cheese were not mixed throughout, and the fries were not hot. In fact, they tasted kind of gummy.

Monday, August 10th, my buddies and I did not have a pleasant experience at Stewart’s. Our waitress was extremely rude and was not very accommodating. When asking for IDs, our waitress tried to debunk the authenticity of my girlfriend’s identification, «Your license is expired.» When we told her the expiration date is 2017, she dug herself a deeper hole and responded, «Oh, it’s a provisional license. We cannot accept this.» Once we told her that it is a State ID and not a Driver’s License, our waitress condescendingly asked my girlfriend, «Oh, you don’t drive?» Towards the very end as we were paying, she said to us, «Are you guys finished? My shift is almost done.» She did that three times within a five-minute time frame. Granted, it was a large bill. We wanted to make sure everyone contributed the right amount of money, and that her tip was reasonable. I would include her name, but she requested that we return the receipt. We were a party of eight(we sat outside), and our bill totaled to $ 189.00. Our waitress was about 5’4 to 5’5, had dirty blonde hair, wore an orange shirt, and had multiple piercings on her left ear. I am not too fond of the notion that the customer is always right, because a lot costumers can be jerks. We were very polite to her, however, she was very cantankerous. Whether she was having a bad day or not does not justify her behavior. Her performance will not deter us from dining at Stewart’s.(She was on point with our orders.) However, should she be our waitress again, I would request for a new one, because I am not a fan of her personality. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to grab a quick bite after the beach. The pricing is cheap, and the quality of the food is definitely a lot better than what you pay for.

Absolutely atrocious. The only thing going for them is the root beer. Other than that, the food is absolutely awful. I got a Philly because it was featured on their menu. It was quite possibly the worst philly I have ever had. It was luke warm. Cheese was barely melted. Bread was nothing special. A couple others at my table had burgers. Both the burgers and buns looked disgusting. Burgers were definitely previously frozen. My burgers I make at home are a hundred times better. It’s surprising because other Stewart’s I’ve been to have significantly better food. Avoid at all costs.

Hands down the worst customer service and concern for their customers I have experienced in a long time. Staff that work there are very young and have no work ethic. Food was just«ok» but the Root Beer was yummy!

Location was perfect for a day at the beach. We ran up to grab lunch. Didn’t want a pricey lunch– just looking for cheap and easy! Despite looking quite buy food arrived quickly and was delicious! I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato that cost only 3.69 — when it came out it was really just a sandwich on a little plate, but I was surprised to see that it was a double decker sandwich! Three slices of bread, oozing with cheese. My friend orders a buffalo chicken wrap and added the fries, coleslaw, pickle. Fries were okay, coleslaw gross. My only real complaint was that my 6.50 frozen margarita was so small! Even their soda/water glasses were small. Overall a great place to grab an easy cheap lunch in long branch! Total bill for two, with the margarita was $ 22.50!

Great place to get an Orange and Cream Float! It was amazing and perfect on the hot sunny days after beach time. Friendly people and a great atmosphere.

Sometimes, after a day at the beach, all you need is a root beer float. Or maybe you need a spiked root beer float, which is cool too. I can’t speak on the food because we only had drinks. But I really liked my orange cream soda float. On the other hand, the root beer float with alcohol(Stoli Vanilla, if I remember correctly) was good too, but I didn’t taste any booze in there at all. We had asked the bartender beforehand what float he recommended and only found out he gave us the alcoholic one after we got the bill and saw it was the more expensive one. So if you want to save a couple of bucks, just stick to the regular float. They taste exactly the same.

After a day at the beach with my sister I decided to go get takeout here. I ordered my food to-go and also a Corona while we were waiting. After the first sip that I took of my beer, I knew it tasted off. I took another sip and told my sister that it tasted skunky. I then got a hold of one of the waitresses behind the counter and told her that my Corona tasted funny and asked for another one. She took the beer and went to her manager. His response was that he just purchased this case of beer and had an attitude as if I threw the beer in his face. So I asked him if he was going to argue about it or give me a new beer. He said that I was not getting a replacement so I told them to give me my money back and that I would just buy a new one. Apparently if you buy a new case of beer that means they are all 100% guaranteed to all be grade A top notch fresh. The waitress then told me that he(the manager) told her not to serve me anything else!!! I ended up canceling my entire food order because I was so disgusted by the service and management. I am a server in a diner and have been in customer service for years and I would have never given the the attitude they gave me especially over a beer! My sister also ordered a cheese steak and the waitress asked her if she wanted cheese!!! Clearly lacking skills in customer service and common sense. Her food came out so fast it must have been microwaved. I WILLNEVERSTEPFOOTINTHEREAGAIN. Utterly and completely disgusted after a pleasant day on the beach.

Pretty standard American food. Usually just come for the root beer floats, which are excellent. I had the Horseradish burger, which was actually pretty good, but nothing too special. The waitress was nice, food came out quickly and the food is fairly cheap. Nice that this one is by the beach!

I absolutely love Stewart’s, the chicken dishes are the best. With that said the burgers are so sad. They are using frozen Bubba burgers and they are pan fried at that. Maybe I’m spoiled by the superior burgers at 5 guy’s or the Windmill but I will not be returning here for burgers. Everything about the place is a thumbs up. Do yourself a favor and go to the Windmill for a burger if thats what your looking for…

When it comes to Stewarts as a whole, it’s about halfway between fast food and diner food, but add in the ambiance and you’ve got a great old-fashioned experience. This location is a bit different from the rest locations as this is much more of a diner rather than a road-side stop. We stopped in on a slow Sunday night to grab a quick bite to go and left full and happy. We had an assortment of burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs among us and everyone was very happy with the food they got and the price for it. Definitely a good spot to go to, as long as you go in with the right level of expectations.

Awful food. We ordered burgers from the waitress and within one minute they were brought out to the table. Had to be precooked and nuked. Plus they put ice in the root beer. Not a real Stewart’s.

well, let me start by saying I’ve been coming to this place for years. It’s been a good place to grab a burger and fries year round and location can’t be beat. But good value it is not. You get like 3 oz of root beer for your root beer float for 6 bucks and that’s plain BS. The service is on the slow side and the large burger would be a jr burger any place else. Same for large fries. All-in-all, it’s typical overpriced undersized beach fair, so i don’t know why i complain.

So I don’t know where to start, this place took all of our ID round 6 people and a kid… no idea y one person ID didn’t scan and then the manager has the nerve to threaten us to call the police coz it did not scan. Then the waitress comes n tells us they cannot serve any of us coz the manager said so. Now this is being RACIST. I had no idea Stewart’s did not allow people who are not white . so please this place is recommended for only white people… no joke… I am very upset from this experience that too on 4th July. My child who was very thirsty did not even get water to drink… no she felt sick after waiting for 20 min… very disappointed…

We came here to stop by for a root beer and hot dog. We had a jumbo hot dog with cheese and onions and it was pretty good. The hot dog was a little thin for my taste but still had good flavor. The milkshake was excellent. It was thick, had just the right amount of milk to ice cream ratio to make it drinkable. We ate at the bar, the bartender was nice and everything came out within 5 – 10 minutes. For a quick bite, it’s a good place.

It’s hard to judge this place because the service was so terrible. Our waitress dropped off our food and walked away. I needed a plate. My friend needed sauce, a knife and her fries were burnt. The restaurant isn’t that big but we had to go hunt her down. I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It was drippy, which was difficult with the paper saucer she handed it to me on. I also had the Disco Fries just for kicks. They were okay. Food wise, its the cheapest in Pier Village, but its pretty expensive for what you get. My fries were 5 bucks! At the end of they day, I love Stewart’s. They have the best Cream Soda and the Ice Cream is soooo good. The experience at this store needs some work.

Compared to other restaurants in Pier Village, Stewart’s seemed to be the cheapest and most kid friendly place to eat. So we gave it a try! As we approached the host stand, the three hostesses standing there didn’t give much of a greeting. They all just looked at us and waited for us to greet them with how many people in our group.(I was with a group with four adults and three children all under the age of 8.) We sat outside right in front of the host stand. Our server approached us right away and took our drink orders. She brought out pitchers of water with no ice, but the glasses were chilled. We thought it was weird that there was no ice in the pitchers esp. since it was a warm day out. Within a few minutes, the water was warm. Ew. Our server told one of my friends that her drink is unavailable so she had to order something else. WIthin a few minutes the adult drinks came out but it took the whole service for the children to get their drinks! Luckily we had the pitchers of water for them. When we were waiting for our food to arrive, we saw that the hostesses at the stand weren’t friendly at all. They weren’t inviting to the people approaching the stand, no smiles or nice greetings! I even noticed two of the hostesses roll their eyes at two female guests who asked to go inside to order food to go. They watched the guests walk inside, rolled their eyes and whispered something between each other. I found that very rude eps. when other guests can see that type of attitude! The only time I saw the hostess smile was when a guy passed them a piece of paper with his number on it. Three of them giggled loudly. Our food came out in batches between 15 – 20 minutes from when our order was placed. The children’s food came out first, which is understandable because kids tend to eat slower than adults. One adult entrée came next and left the other three of us waiting for our food. We noticed other tables around us who got seated after us were getting their food before us. When our food finally came, the onion rings were over done, the bacon in our Texas burgers were hard, and the fries were on the soggy side. We each paid an average of $ 15 for a burger and fries or onion rings and a drink, I’m not sure if it’s worth the money. The staff was a bit rude and the food was bleh.

Three starts, based solely on the fact that it’s one of the cheapest places to eat in Pier Village, but also for the fast service. That said, the service is so fast because everything is frozen. From the hamburger patties to the french fries to the liquid milk used to make the root beer floats, nothing here is fresh. I guess I was just expecting more. The Stewart’s Shops in Upstate New York use their own brand of ice cream and a blender to make great milkshakes. My guess is this place is aiming to provide the consumer a simple, in and out experience so they can get back to the beach.
