This subway is great! Not sure why there are so many complaints. Lunch was quick and easy. Place was clean and owner was very kind… even gave me meatballs on the side for the baby! Will be back.

I am a local and I shall say I got my Subway back. Met the new owner Emanuel, cool guy with great pride of ownership. It’s not the old cold Belmont Shore Subway anymore. My cheese steak hoagie was awesome. He tossed my sub with fresh green papers and onions which made a huge difference. Everytime I go the owner is there and he educates me about how organic their food is and last time he sampled me their new ham deli which he said is much less calories. They always have a good lunch deal going on. He usually hands me a new flier before I leave. So if you guys are working around Belmont Shores and need a quick fresh solution for your lunch, I highly recommend giving a new shot to this Subway restaurant. The store looked clean and the produce was definitely fresh. I am glad I gave them a shot.

This location has the cleanest and most organized sandwich unit i have ever seen. Every time i come in i am greeted by friendly employees. I believe it is under new ownership now. I feel the difference!!! I appreciate every single employee who works here. Keep up the good work.

Constant let down. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the manager is nice. To the worker with the orange/blonde bleached hair, you make the sloppiest excuse for a sandwich I’ve seen. I have a meatball sub with all the meatballs on one side, also, you were too lazy to cut the bread the whole way and just ripped the side. Now I have sauce oozing from everywhere. This isn’t rocket science, it’s Subway! To top it off you were rude to the men in front of me for not speaking English very well. Everything was unacceptable, I won’t be coming back. I live one block from here and wish I could go back due to convenience but not now. Take pride in what you do no matter what it is.

Really nice staff, the place is always clean. The food is what it is, subway. I usually come by later at night for dinner and more often than not I’m the only customer there.

I just wrote such a beautifully worded, scathing review of my experience here. Unfortunately, I was so verbose that I was going to easily exceed the 5001 character limit. I was going to post the review and then start another one. Just so I could get 10,002 characters, but apparently you can’t do that. No big deal. The cliffs notes are as follows: I was disappointed at every turn. *Unemphatic«Welcome to Subway» greeting. Sounded more like«Wuggum-da-Summhh» *Staff lacked energy, competence and courtesy. * Sandwich was an accurate reflection of the above critiques. I could almost taste the apathy. For reference, I went in on a Friday afternoon at 1:00pm. I’ve seen that some reviewers have good things to say about certain staff members at certain times. I certainly don’t want to take away from anything good they want to say about the good ones. However, for me, I’ll never come to this Subway again — at least not on a Friday at lunchtime. i recommend the Subway on Redondo and 7th as an alternative.

This Subway continues to be a let down. I came in for lunch and again waited about 20 minutes from start to finish when there were only about 5 people ahead of me. They move very slow here. While making the sandwich, the«sandwich maker» was being very stingy with the lettuce, onions, etc. Once I got home I discovered that the bread was not fresh and tasted over cooked. My Sprite consisted only of soda water and no syrup. Keep up the good work. I guess I’ll be going to the one on Anaheim and Ximeno for now on. At lease they are friendly there.

I really do hate giving one stars, but after you hear this story, you will know why… I walked in on a Tuesday around 11:00 a.m. to get a 5 $ footlong, no harm, no foul. There were two girls behind the counter, the first made my sandwich, fine, the whole time, the 2nd girl was chatting up some dude, showing her his phone, saying she falls in love easy, doing absolutely no work. The girl who made the sandwich(and did well!) handed it to the second girl after she had to say her name three times to get her attention(I do remember her name, but I don’t wana sell her down the river in case her manager reads this). The dude she was talked to said goodbye and she rang me up… As I was getting out my cash, her boss came out and gave her a clip board and said«here, at least now you go do something while you’re doing nothing», and she responded with«What! I’ve been working the whole time»… She looks at me and says«tell him I’ve been working and not wasting time». Now, I am not I liar, so the manager shoot me I look, and I just stood there and looked right back at him… He finally walked away. She rang me up, I said thank you and walked out… As I was walking out, she yells to me, «don’t ever come back either» and chuckled afterwards… Will I come back here in the future? Ya probably, but if I ever get disrespected like that again, I will not be returning, for damn sure!

ok this subway was bad… the employees were just messing around the entire time. i know you work at subway and it doesnt require a high school education. but still… can you just make my sandwich without nudging and giggling with your co workers… i just want my f-ing sandwich, and if i order a veggie delite, because i am a f-ing vegetarian… dont ask me why i didnt get meat and that i need to get meat in my life… What the freak?! I saw his nametag, but wont reveal his name because he probably really needs his job…

Came back with a coupon and got friendly, grade-A service. See, younger employees?! It’s really not that hard to talk to a customer and word with them… especially when they want to hand you money! My sandwich artist was a middle-aged man, very patient and ready to help. Definitely helps make up for my last horrific experience here.

First off… i feel like its a funeral in here. No smiles, no welcoming… its just kinda depressing. Its hard to mess up a sandwich but they lazily throw things together and barely put anything on it. Its just plain messy and their bread is not fresh. Will not be coming back.

I could have sworn this Subway was a few more blocks down but I guess not. Anyways, this was by far one of the worst Subways I’ve ever been to. I used to work at one so I know how they’re suppose to do things and they did almost everything wrong. Like said before, how do you screw up Subway? Jeesh.

I agree, how hard is it to screw up Subway? Bad customer service and employee practices will land you at 1 star every time in my book. The place was clean enough, I suppose, but seriously not worth it with that attitude, honey! Walking in at just after noon, I was pleasantly surprised to see there was no line(this never happens!) There were several people at tables eating, but no one in line. 3 employees standing around talking to each other but with no line, what else are they gonna be doing right? How about restocking?! As I mentioned, there was no line when I walked in. So I order my 6′ tuna on wheat and notice that basically all the veggies are gone. The ones that weren’t gone were greenery. spinach. cilantro. lettuce. I pretty much wanted the works but my ‘sandwich artist’ SUCKED! Not sure if this is just her laziness and lack of attention to detail, or if the owner actually tells them to skimp(which does happen, I’m sure) but either way. what a gip! I got 2 little sprigs of red onion and maybe 4 pieces of sliced banana peppers. There were 2 sad little tomatoes sitting at the bottom of the bin. Noticing this, I asked if I could get some new ones. «They look good to me.» was her reply. How about no? So I said again, «Can I get some new tomatoes?» She took the empty bin to the back and returned with a new full container of fresh tomatoes without even acknowledging that they basically needed to refill everything anyway. Apparently as a customer, I was wrong for asking for fresh product. And then I was basically punished for their laziness by not getting sufficient veg on my already extremely overpriced sandwich. Won’t be going back here again, trust that. Eff you, Subway!

So out of all the other food places on 2nd, my friend and I had lunch here today. I’ve been to Subway before, and I have to say, this one looked exactly like all the other ones I’d been to! Anyway, I got my usual Italian BMT on flat bread with no cheese, avocado and veggies. It turned out yummy, and tasted like every other Italian BMT on flat bread with no cheese, avocado, and veggies I’ve had in my life. But that was what I was craving– non-creative food. It satisfied my hunger, the sandwich makers were friendly(probably more so than most other places). I didn’t win anything in that scrabble game they have going on though. Poo.
