Stephen P Graham, MD

I don’t know what these whiney people are talking about, Dr. Graham, is terrific. He doesn’t baby you or massage your ego. He is clear concise and to the point. Every visit I had with him was productive. He comes in, asks you about your injury, asks you to move this way that way, always asking questions to pinpoint the exact location of the pain. He doesn’t crack jokes and isn’t not overly friendly, but he smiles and acts genuinely concerned, which is what I expect from a professional. I saw three other orthopedic surgeons before I decided on Dr. Graham. He won me over with his professionalism.
On the day of surgery, as I lay on the gurney, waiting to go in, he came by asked me how I was feeling, told me he would take care of me and made a few marks on my shoulder, (for the incision) smiled a said, «See you soon.» That meant a lot!
I would totally recommend Dr. Stephwn Graham!

Overall I was seen in record time when it comes to an ortho office. I was in and out within an hour. I was referred to Dr. Graham by my regular dr who I completely trust, that he would be a good doctor, boy was I wrong.
When he walked in he didn’t introduce himself and was rude during the whole appointment. He moved my wrist around and told me that I have a cyst that I should be able to live with once the pain is under control, even thought I told him that my fingers stop working and I have numbness from the cyst pressing on my tendons and nerves. I asked him for pain meds which he refused to give me while I’m nursing my baby. When he asked how much longer I planned on nursing, and I told him 6 more months, he told me that there isn’t much he can do for me until I stop nursing. He told me to keep my wrist in a brace until my wrist stops hurting or I stop nursing whichever comes first.
I also had my 6 month old son with me since I had no one I could leave him with and he started whining during the appointment and the Dr. Graham kept giving my son dirty looks and was visibly annoyed because I had my baby with me.

Dr. Graham worked on my wife’s shoulder over two years ago and was very forthcoming about the outcome. Her shoulder is better than ever and the office woman was very helpful with appointments for the office and surgery. Not sure what the other reviewers were expecting.

Bedsdide manner — lousy. He didn’t listen to me or look at me. Would not answer my questions.
He or his staff screwed up my insurance paperwork.

This doctor’s bedside manners are horrible. He made me feel unvalidated and was not helpful in giving me further treatment recommendations. If you have a work related injury, I would recommend choosing a different doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Graham by my primary care physician and I really like her so I felt comfortable going to see him because I value her opinion. I also heard nothing but good things from him from someone in my kickboxing class.
I visited Dr. Graham after I hurt my wrist punching a bag wrong in kickboxing. I had already visited another orthopedic surgeon but my wrist was still bothering me. Dr. Graham ordered an MRI of my wrist to see what was going on.
I realize you can’t judge a doctor purely on his ‘bedside manner’ but I felt like he could have been more forthcoming with advice and information. I would have liked for him to have gone into more detail when he gave me the MRI results.
When I asked him if I could continue kickboxing, he said if I really enjoy it, go ahead, but make sure I wrap my wrist well and use sports tape. I felt like the ‘if I really enjoy it’ wasn’t quantified enough for me. He also said if it got worse, I should consider arthroscopic surgery in the future.
I left the office feeling really confused and unsure.
