Once I decided to get solar power for my house, I interviewed 7 other companies over the phone and 5 of the companies at my house. I spent over 30 hours investigating different brands of solar panels and inverters before choosing Solar Source as the company I wanted to install my solar system. They were very professional and courteous and competitive in price. They were the only company that was willing to give me the RIGHT size system to off set my electrical energy usage. Their price came in less per kilowatt than any other company even though they supplied the best equipment (solar panels, inverters and warranty) My panels were installed on both my house and detached garage rooftop. After installation, their clean-​up was spotless! The installation passed city inspection with no problems at all. Installation was less than two days & was done ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Solar Source as the company for anyone’s solar needs. VERY impressed with Alan, Steve, Alex, Kyle, Brian, along with their entire office and field staff! Honest, intelligent, knowledgeable, professional and respectful!!!

We worked with Mike T. He was super low pressure, but VERY knowledgeable. He helped us throughout the whole process of choosing the right system for us and wading through the financing options.
The crew was ALWAYS professional, on-​time, and neat. No big messes. No big hassles. Any questions or special requests were promptly responded to.
The end result was that my electricity bill was never below $ 250 and got as high as $ 450 (big house, electric dryer, A/​C, etc) in the summer months. **OUCH!!** My first bill post-​install was $ 119 during the month of November when we had limited day light. An instant savings of $ 130! I can’t wait for our Spring-​Fall billings. :)

Was a great experience working with Jarrod and his team at Solar Source. Got a great deal, was taken care of all the way through the process. I had a lot of questions and concerns and Jarrod and his team were very, very responsive and answered all my questions (even the dumb ones). Would recommend them in a heart beat. I checked out many companies before using Solar Source. The experience was great with Solar Source.

Got the solar system installed at a very competitive price. Bryan did not use any high pressure sales tactics, he was very timely in providing me thorough information through every step of the process.
The best thing was that after changing over to net metering, I paid less than $ 2 for a $ 200 Southern California Edison bill.
They also give you a monitoring device that tells you how much power your house is generating as well as a web app that provides reports to show how much power your system is generating each day.

The fear of the unknown kept me from getting solar for a long time. I finally made the jump after seeing a good friend of mine had solar on his house. My representative, Mike, was great. He was very hands-​on with everything and walked me through the process step by step. Being an LADWP customer, there were a few more hoops to jump through, but we did it and got the switch turned to Solar. I am now 2 bills in with my solar panels and I have paid the forced minimum charge of $ 22 per bill for my 1^st 2 bills. I’m looking forward to my next $ 22 electrical bill.
If the cost of the unit is scaring you (I purchased my panels), ask Mike to help put you in the hands of a great solar financing company for your purchase. I recommend purchasing the unit (when you purchase the panels, you are putting equity in the house). If you lease the panels, you’re putting money into their pockets instead of your equity.
Act quickly because there are rumors of the solar rebate being non-​existent after 2016 taxes.
If you are contemplating getting solar, do not wait.

I was referred to this company by my contractor, LBBC. Unfortunately, they don’t work on the type of elements we have but Brian was so sweet, did some research, and actually called me back with the name of someone who could. So rare to find someone so helpful. He saved me so much stress and made my day! Use this company if you can!

I’ve had my system for about 1.5 years and it has been great. I recommend Solar Source to everyone. They did an outstanding job and used very high quality components that required the minimum possible changes to the building. By contrast, a friend had an installation done at the same time with another major company and they had huge components requiring much more wiring and an unsightly installation.
I worked with Jarrod, who was extremely knowledgeable, responsive and helpful throughout the process.

The workmen described their planned approach, suggested options if needed, and addressed our concerns in every way. They are very bright, and were pleasant to deal with at all times.
The installation is very attractive and fits well into the design of our home. Conduit was painted to blend in with the roof and shingle and I find the panels (29 panel installation) attractive.
The site was kept clean during the day and was cleaned up at the end of each day.

Just had my solar system installed and it looks great. Bryan was on it, making sure all my questions were answered and following up on any issues that came up along the way. Looking forward to my check from Edison ;)

Got a great system installed by these guys for a very reasonable price. Very clean install, and the guys were very professional. I worked with Mike Tockstein, who kept me apprised of every stage in the process. I can’t recommend this company enough. They took care of me, and I’m going to be benefitting from this transaction for the next 40 or 50 years. Thanks Solar Source. PS. Do your research and find a way to purchase the system. Google «solar leases scaring buyers.» The average lease will cost the homeowner 3x what a purchase will at the 20 year mark. I paid only $ 500 down and don’t even have to pay for another 11 months through the Hero program. Until then I have a system that will be taking care of 113% of my usage. No brainer

I had my solar panels installed October 2011 and I was then and I am still completely satisfied with everything Solar Source did from the quote, to the many questions, and eventually the installation. Since that time I have purchased an electric powered car, so I have contracted with them again to add more panels.
I dealt primarily with Jarrod Osborne who I found to be the most honest and knowledgeable for all solar panels and equipment of all the 10 or so solar contractors I contacted. I can’t imagine anyone going wrong by choosing Solar Source for their solar installation for service and especially price.

Honest, and knows his stuff (even the tax stuff)!
