I’ve been coming to Lizette since I moved to Long Beach a year ago. Though I live on a non-​profit salary and could likely find a place more within my means, I wouldn’t consider going elsewhere. Getting my hair cut has always been a mental/​emotional experience just as much as a physical experience and Lizette completely understands this. We spend time crafting a new cut/​style together before she gets started. Lizette’s vision and artistry, as well as her genuine passion for her work have put me in awe (and at ease) every time I go in. I’ve been able to say yes to new styles because of the trust we have built. I can’t say what that’s been able to do for me in terms of confidence. Whether you’re simply looking for an amazing cut or you’re in need of a dose of positive energy and self-​love, I couldn’t give a higher recommendation than for Lizette.

I love this studio! The atomosphere is fun and relaxing, the stylist are friendly and professional… but most of all I love my stylist, Lizette! When I moved to this area 3 years ago one of my biggest concerns was connecting with the right stylist and I couldn’t have gotten luckier when I found Lizette. Although she was working at a different salon at the time, I knew after my first visit with her, I would follow her anywhere! Lizette is amazing, she really prides herself on her amazing skills, experience and knowledge of hair and hair products and with good reason, she makes time to take classes and continues to expand her knowledge and love for her chosen profession which truly is a art in itself! Lizette then shares all that love and experience with her customers with such ease and style making each visit a great experience and a joy to see her.

I was a little timid as a man coming in for a mans hair cut but Lizette Delgado welcomed me in, made me feel super comfortable, & did an awesome job. I will definitely be returning for another cut by her. Not to mention she’s got a super dope style that makes the experience that much better!

Atlantic Studio 425 is just wonderful. Beautiful, cool salon with super friendly stylists and a great vibe. Lizette Delgado is My Girl here at Atlantic — I can not express how amazing she is. She is smart — girl knows her stuff — and she isn’t happy unless you are happy! If you have the SLIGHTEST inkling to try a new stylist, you will not be disappointed if you book an appointment with this lady.

I’ve been coming to michelle for about 3 years. She always does a great job and takes pride in her work. The salon is really cool, love the color bar!

Lizette is a rockstar. Seriously. I am super picky about my blonde and she was amazing. Perfect highlights and pastel tone. She took the time to explain everything, which I appreciate. I even asked her what the new trends in color are, and knew and shared it all with me. I have been growing out a severe undercut and was able to give me a cut that looks great even though its in the awful half grown out stage. Its rare to find a stylist that is great at both cut and color and Lizette is. She knows her shit for sure. She even showed me her portfolio and her extensive collection of continuing education certificates. On top of it she is an awesome person. It is so important to feel like you connect with your stylist, that they listen, and aren’t afraid to offer advice. The price isn’t the cheapest-​but who would cut corners on their hair? I have been to top salons in New York, and Lizette could run circles around most of the stylists.

I have been looking for the right hairdresser to do my root touch and highlights for the last two years. I finally found Michelle at Atlantic Studio 425 who is amazing. She is an expert with blonde hair, for sure. She does the best blow-​dry in Long Beach, as well! The staff, the décor and the facility are in such a convenient location with off street parking. I will definitely make this my go to hair salon.

Vinnie is amazing. She always makes my hair feel healthy and super soft. Im always happy when i leave her chair. She is super sweet and all around amazing. Looove her.

3 or so weeks ago, I got a wild hair — literally. Called in blind to make an appointment to lighten my hair from 4 years of box Strawberry Blonde to pure crystal white. I have a bit of haircolor experience so I knew that what I was asking for was a near impossible feat — certainly to accomplish in one sitting. Lizette met me at the door and it was game on. She assessed the integrity of my hair and communicated the realities of achieving the result I was after — we set some realistic goals (lvl 9 buttery-​ish) for our power lightening session and dove in. 4 hours later — toned and trimmed — I was damned near crystal white. Lizette’s skills are amazing! She mentioned having some haircolor wizardry certificate — Master artist of something color something — but the proof is really in the pudding. Total side thing — but ultimately as important — she is an absolutely lovely human being. Hilarious and gentle natured and just very easy to be around — which is cool when you’re spending several hours with someone, obviously.
The following day ending up being an impromptu round 2. Went in to have a few more inches chopped off — which she did at no cost to me — toned me up again as well — no charge. I mean!
Honestly can’t say enough about the quality of my experience or of Lizette’s expertise/​chairside manner. She’s a miracle worker and — if I’d had a beer in my hand — I could solidly have called it a fun night with a cool new friend. I actually call it that anyway, beers are just fun.

Lizette has taught me how to embrace my Devacurls and I can’t see myself going to anyone else. It’s like finding «the one» after dating «the wrong ones»; there’s no reason to go back to the others who have played with your emotions when the one who is treating you right, is right in front of you. She’s outgoing and totally into creating a masterpiece. Money and time well spent.
I gotta tell you though, I was very reluctant to return to this salon after my first experience here with a different stylist. I came to get my hair cut and blown out for a wedding I was going to attend. The girl (who shall remain nameless), was such in a rush, she left my hair frizzy! I’ve never been to a salon and left so disappointed. So bad that I actually went home washed it out and started all over.
Proof that some things do need a second chance. Thank goodness for Lizette!

Lizette did a wonderful job with my hair. She is really knowledgable and very friendly. Definitely recommend her to anybody that is looking to try something new or needs help making a decision about a new hairstyle.

Bought a Groupon, made an appointment and found my new hair stylist, Levy!
Salon is clean and modern. Levy is great with color and cutting. Hard to find a stylist who has mastered both. I didn’t want to write a review because I wanted to keep him as my secret, but I couldn’t do that to him. So if you need a cut or dye he’s your guy! Show him pictures of what you like, he’ll talk to you about what he can do to get it there, or other options, he knows what he’s doing. :) Thanks Levy!
Side note, this is my second visit. The salon is located across the street from Berlin on 4^th street.

Just got my haircut by Lizette again and she performed a miracle. I hadn’t gotten my hair cut since my last Unilocal review six months ago. So I went in looking for shape for my shapeless hair that I’m continuing to grow out, and she brought it back to life. I was honestly blown away that her first haircut was able to last for so long because my hair usually starts looking shapeless and huge after two months. But yeah, this haircut did was even more amazing than the last. I have been to so many salons in Long Beach over the last two years and she’s the only person I’ve gone to who is honest, talented, and able to execute exactly what I want without too much direction. And on top of all that, she is just a kickass human. I have definitely found my California stylist. Can’t imagine getting my hair cut by anyone else!

Always an amazing experience here! My stylist/​colorist Lizette ALWAYS listens to me and seems to always envision what I’m wanting. She is hands down the best hair stylist I have had in my 34 years!

Every once I a while a girl has got to switch it up. Sure glad I did! I’ve had my hair cut, colored, and ombré’d by Vinnie a couple times now and she doesn’t disappoint! I decided to make a drastic change and chop off my long hair into an angled bob. She did a wonderful job and I got a lot of compliments. Thank you Vinnie! The salon is a beautiful hair studio and the staff there are great. I feel so lucky to have so many great hair options.

You know when you go into a salon with pictures and ideas of what you want your hair to look like, but when your hair is done, it looks NOTHING like what you actually wanted? Not the case with Vinnie.
I had an awful color correction that needed to happen (ombré gone wrong by another stylist), but I didn’t want to resort to dyeing my hair dark again. I showed photos to Vinnie of the medium shade of brown I wanted and I don’t know how she did it, but she NAILED the color. I’m the pickiest person and a giant pain in the ass when it comes to my hair, but I was so happy, I wanted to cry… AND, her prices were so, so reasonable. Bonus, my cut turned out perfect, too.
Sidenote, she’s genuinely so sweet and personable! No awkward forced conversation, I felt like I was getting my hair done by an old friend. Go see Vinnie!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Michelle is the best. My mom and I got a color and cut, and it came out awesome. We both love our new hair color. Michelle listened to what we wanted and really provided us with spectacular service. She styled our hair after and it came out beautiful. The second floor is for coloring and washing hair, while the first floor is for cutting and styling. The salon is absolutely beautiful and everyone is very professional. We will be repeat customers!
