Hyatt Place Denver-South/Park Meadows

This Hyatt Place has become a top choice for this area! Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and comfortable, all employees are very nice and accommodating! Freddie by far is the best! Sat at bar and have great conversations with him! I suggest taking a break and sit and chat with him!!! The included breakfast is better than every hotel chain out there! If you need a hotel near Park Meadows, DTC, Castle Rock it’s worth it to stay here!

I was able to get a really good deal online and was pleased with the hotel and value. It’s not a luxury experience but very functional, clean, spacious, and conveniently located. Nice pluses — I like the breakfast, which offers a western scramble, egg sandwiches, oatmeal, lots of grapefruit and assorted fruit, cereals, etc. They also offer some pastries and pancakes which looked a bit less appealing. They have a coffee bar and snack bar with desserts, chips, drinks, etc. that’s open 24×7 — only issue I had there was their non-​dairy milk options. They have a decent gallery menu which includes a variety of salads and entrees that you call in, are made to order, and then you pick them up. (I tried the spinach salad which was fresh and crammed with dried cranberries and almond slices with a tasty vinaigrette). They also have solid free internet in the lobby and in the room, which was my big gripe about another (more expensive) hotel I stayed at in the area. The fitness room is really small with only a few treadmills largely, and the rooms are basic but clean and spacious. The bed is not terribly comfortable (a bit too soft for my liking, but overall okay. The front desk is helpful (with my heater, printing/​scanning, packages, food etc). Location-​wise, you mostly have access to a ton of chain or mall restaurants (more a Lone Tree issue than a Hyatt issue), and it’s less than 5 minutes away from Safeway, Target, Home Depot, Starbucks, a movie theater, etc. There is a shuttle but I never used it. Overall, if you can get at a good price, this is a solid choice.

We stayed here for the American Girl Doll room so I’m going to brake this into two reviews. First on the hotel and 2^nd on the American Girl Doll experience.
The hotel was nice and clean looked like they had a good breakfast however, we didn’t eat anything so I wouldn’t be able to rate it. The staff was friendly and did a quick job of checking us in. The room was big with two queen beds and a separate seating area. The shower room is a bit small. All and all this is a nice hotel for lower to mid price point. I would definitely recommend staying.
American girl doll exp. When we arrived they had custom letters for both kids. (You must inform them of more then one girl). The girls each had a bed, pillow and blanket for their dolls that they got to keep. They also had a letter giving them the opportunity to go pick up Milk and cookies from the front desk and a coupon for a free doll souvenir shirt from The American Girl Doll store with a $ 40 purchase. The only thing different than what we saw on the YouTube video was there were no pink towels in the room. The girls loved it and was well worth the money.

Love the location of this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I’m not a fan of the beds or the pillows, just not super comfortable for me.
The breakfast is pretty good, they offer a higher quality of breakfast sandwiches and hot items. They also have fruit, oatmeal, and the usual bread selections. The lobby is cozy and there’s plenty of seating.
The staff I’ve encountered over my many stays have never been very friendly. They’re helpful, but not personable which is ok.
I stay here often and have no complains… other than the bed and pillows.

Second time here. Great pool, spacious rooms and excellent location close to shopping, entertainment and restaurants.

We came down for my daughter’s wedding and rented quite a few rooms. We were delighted with not only the rooms but also the staff and wonderful breakfast each morning. Highly recommend!

however the breakfast was good, rooms are nice, business center where you can print your stuff, the internet was terrible. Even though its free, I know they add inter to room rate, that is how your internet becomes free. what the crap is having 10 mb for whole guest network, its such a ridiculous nowadays. they have a cap per device 1,5 mb which never has reached, i got less then a 1 mb. room rate was $ 200. they definitely have to work on getting higher speed. especially for business guests

loved this place. They were so friendly, helpful and nice. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delish. The location was ideal and close to all major freeways and toll roads so we had easy on and easy off access. close to everything you can image when it comes to shopping, etc. Hyatt Place is now my go to wherever I go!

I have a few issues with this hotel and I’ll tell you why.
1. They never changed the bed linens during our entire 4 night stay. They have a little tag that states that they change the bed linens every 3 days unless you leave the tag on the bed, which we did, every day that we left the room and it never happened. They did make the bed after the first night… but it was with the same sheets we slept in. Every other time we returned to our room, the bedding was in the same condition we left it. I’m all for going green but when I pay for a hotel stay, I’d like to have new bed linens that I’ve requested to have new and clean.
2. Only one time in our 4 night stay did they replenish the bath towels. 3 days we were left to reuse the ones we had.
3. Only on one occasion did they refill the the complimentary coffee in our room. It would have been nice to have fresh coffee every morning in our room.
4. Of all the issues we had at this hotel… #4 tops them all. As we were resting on the couch in the room watching tv, a guest accessed our room with their room key. They opened the door, realized that they had the wrong room and immediately left. When I called the front office to report the issue, they just said «sorry about that.» and nothing more. No reassurance that any other guests were going to have keys to access our room while we were in or away from our room. That’s not a very good feeling to have. Thankfully I wasn’t standing in the middle of our room naked when the occurrence took place!
The only reason I am giving this hotel 2 stars is because the staff, for the most part was friendly and the location of the hotel was nice. Unfortunatley I will not stay in this hotel again

Awesome place! ! Our 3^rd time here. Never a bad experience. Great breakfast buffet. Nice staff. Will be our place to stay for a long time

The hotel itself was nice. It appeared to have been recently renovated. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. My only complaint about the room was that if you were in the shower and someone turned on either of the sinks out in the room (there was both a sink outside the bathroom, and one in the mini-​kitchen area), it would cause the waterflow in the shower to either slow to a drip or cease entirely. Obviously, this was easily corrected by just not using the sinks if someone was using the shower.
So why only 2 stars? The website for the hotel indicated they offered a shuttle to anywhere in a 5 mile radius. Depending on which mapping service I used, our friends’ house was either 4.8 miles or 5.2 miles from the hotel, so I called the hotel prior to making the reservation to check if it was within range of the shuttle (we hadn’t planned on getting a rental car while we were there.) I gave the person I spoke with the exact address of our friends’ house, and they indicated it was within range. They also confirmed the shuttle was available from 7am — 7pm.
I’m sure you can see where this is going… we go to use the shuttle after checking in, and we’re curtly informed by the front desk clerk that the address is out of range. After much back and forth of telling her I had already checked to make sure it was within range, with the clerk being short and rude the whole time, she finally goes to talk to her manager. That was the only time we used the shuttle to go to our friends’ house. After the treatment we received, it just wasn’t worth the hassle.
Later in our stay, we attempted to use the shuttle to go to a nearby restaurant that was definitely within the 5 mile range, and this time we were informed the shuttle wasn’t available on the weekends. This wasn’t indicated on the website, nor did the clerk volunteer this information when I had previously called the hotel to check about the shuttle.
We also had issues with the «24 hour» dining option the hotel advertised. I attempted to order a breakfast sandwich one morning, since the free breakfast wasn’t scheduled to start for another hour, and was told it would be an hour until it was ready. What’s the point then? Keep in mind their 24 hour dining option wasn’t room service — it was a service where you called the front desk to order, then went down to the lobby when it was ready to retrieve it yourself (which I had absolutely no problem with.) But an hour wait for a sandwich seemed a little absurd.
Like I said, the hotel itself was nice. But the customer service and advertised amenities were sorely lacking. What we ended up spending on taxi rides could have easily afforded us a rental car or all the room service at a full service hotel we desired. Very frustrating.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Hyatt Place hotels. This is definitely one of the nicer ones out there. Great pool area but I wish the fitness center was bigger! And what’s the deal with breakfast starting at 6:30am? If this is a business hotel they need to start serving breakfast at 6am at the latest! Great staff and great location, I’ll definitely be back!

broken elevator, noisy doors and so so service

For $ 85 the nicest hotel you can stay at including complimentary hot breakfast that is actually the best commentary hotel breakfast out there. Rooms are big. Rooms are up to date and very clean. Staff was really nice and attentive. Only weird thing is the rooms are HUGE and the bathrooms are super tiny, like can’t open the door when your inside tiny. Would for sure stay again.

The walls were way too thin – we woke up to kids running down the hall and people in the next room. I didn’t know about the renovation noise until check in so sleeping in until ten wasn’t an option after a late night.
There was a void between the air conditioner and the wall so street noise and cold air was constantly coming in.
Not great but not awful either!

Not great, not terrible, but I won’t stay here again.
The staff was courteous and the rooms were spacious. The shower worked nicely. That’s the good part.
The bad part was a heater that would blast very hot air until the room was stifling. Then it would go off until it was freezing in the room. It didn’t seem to matter what temperature or fan speed I set the thermostat on.
Half the channels on the TV came in very fuzzy which is weird for a system that has DirecTV. The bathroom sink took forever to drain. The beds are short and my feet draped over the edge — and I’m not that tall.
The room would shake whenever someone on the floor slammed their door, which was frequently. I never slept past 4:45 am on any of the five nights I was there.
Finally, while free, the breakfasts largely were bad. Fruit that tasted awful and old, weak coffee and weird breakfast sandwiches. Stick with cereal and toast and it’s passable, but that’s not saying much. The only restaurant nearby is Red Lobster (there’s a Burger King and Chick Fil-​A too, if you want to call those restaurants).
I got in on a deal (I thought), so I paid $ 100 a night, but as I was checking in I found out this hotel is under renovation — nice of them to mention that just when I was checking in at midnight and had nowhere else to go. They turn the water off every day for hours on end and there’s excessive hammering and banging.
If you plan to be at the hotel during work hours, expect an uncomfortable stay. It’s cheap and there’s a reason for that.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. Stayed 3 nights and had both breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, especially breakfast.

Hyatt is always great. This is a good location, easy to get to from where I am working when in town, and always clean. The front staff is pleasant. They have the coffee out early and the breakfast is perfectly fine.
The fitness center is a touch less than average, but it will do. The only annoying thing is that the AC is loud and stays on all the time. No temperature regulation. But alas, I am easy going so I’m fine.
I will definitely be back.

Perfectly adequate. One of the 4 or 5 front desk employees I encountered was maddening.
Annoyances, otherwise known as why I will request a difference place on my next trip to the area, were:
— aforementioned front desk clerk who let me wait 5 minutes while she chatted with another hotel guest about how much she loves her Kindle
— missing hotel amenities in my room (hair dryer) which I got replaced, but not until after having to walk in the lobby with dripping wet hair (read: wet dog look-​alike time)
— 4 million watt light bulbs outside my window which were both useful for illuminating some small outside plants and all four sides of my huge bedroom window. I mean really, who needs sleep at a hotel anyways?!
Location is wonderful — walking distance to a few shops, and if you have comfy shoes, definitely walkable to the huge and nice mall. Easy access to freeway also. Facilities, both public and room, were super clean. And the rooms were HUGE, spacious, and very practical for a business traveler.
They also had a candy dish with GOOD chocolate on the front counter… but I stayed over Halloween so perhaps that isn’t the norm.

I’m pretty mixed about this hotel. Don’t get me wrong, it IS nice but I don’t feel like it’s worth 4 – 5 stars, honestly.
I came here for a weekend just to get away from home. I don’t live too far away so know the area well. I was surprised to get it at $ 60 a night via Kayak because it is Hyatt and I know that they’re super expensive. So, I looked at the photos and decided to book.
I came with my 2 year old and we checked in. Everything was fast and easy. Got to our room, it was exactly how the photos looked. Nice room, a little small. They kept bragging about their special «Hyatt» beds but it wasn’t all that comfy to me.
The rooms ARE nice. I’m comfortable with just myself and my little girl but I feel like if there were more than 3 people in a room, it’d be too crowded. I took my daughter swimming and I was really iffy about the pool. There was mold in some of the areas of the pool and the water was freezing. I was also surprised there was no hot tub!
The breakfast is good, crowded area though. It’s a little hard to get the food, there’s no order really. My daughter loved the breakfast sandwiches.
Would I recommend? Probably. It’s not that it’s a gross hotel or anything, I’ve stayed in MUCH worse. It’s in a great area though, the staff is great. Definitely think a few things could use attention though.
