Element Denver Park Meadows

This is by far the nicest inexpensive hotels I have stayed… Very comfortable beds, with a full kitchen complete with full-​size refrigerator, dishwasher stove, and Microwave. The rooms are very contemporary, shower bathroom area so beautiful/​contemporary that I would not mind having it in my home. You will not be disappointed with your stay here… Not expensive at all for all the amenities they offer. I felt like I was at home. They also offer a healthy complementary breakfast that you wouldn’t be disappointed.

I didn’t like it here. The rooms felt sterile and not at all comforting. Yes, that’s it! It reminded me of a hospital room. Some people like it but I could not wait to check out. The lobby is nice and they serve a free breakfast and sort of a happy hour dinner that was good. Again, for me it was the room and it’s ultra modern ikea furnishings and veneer flooring that will keep me from coming back.

Beds are pretty terrible. The coffee table would be equivalent. Pretty room with kitchen. But I need sleep so I’ll be checking out.

A pretty nice hotel that’s clean, spacious, and of course I love the Westin fragrance and modern décor. There’s a pretty spacious gym space with the basics (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, weights), and the free breakfast is great, with a more expanded menu on weekends including pancakes and eggs, but always oatmeal, cereal, fruits, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, etc. Coffee and water available throughout the day. I’ve stayed twice and the first time was only here for a night — we were given a room which felt a bit cozy. This time, I’m staying for longer (not sure if that factors into how they assign rooms) but it’s a pretty nice studio suite with a full fridge, microwave, sink, and a sectional in front of the king bed. My major issues with the hotel are that internet is highly unreliable, and the walls are pretty thin so both times I’ve stayed, I’ve pretty much heard the entire conversations of my neighbors.

We stayed in a king room with a sleeper couch. There were 2 adults and one child. We stayed 3 nights here. I tried one night sleeping on the couch need and it was the most comfortable couch bed I’ve ever slept on. The king bed was way better but I could sleep on the sofa bed if I had to. The kitchen was stocked nicely but we did not use it much. The bathroom was big and very nice. My only complaint about the room was the shower head in the bathroom was not functional. The main head did not have much pressure at all and the detachable head part of the shower flooded our bathroom when my daughter tried using it. I figured out that you could not point the had at the glass doors or it caused a major leak. Kids loved the indoor pool and there is some nice outdoor seating. Breakfast had regular and healthy things so there was something for everyone.

My friend Erica was the name at this room. Arrived on Thursday ⁹⁄₁₇ and checked in at 5pm. The room we got was 340 was at the very end of hallway and last room! Upon arriving we noticed right away about the issues listed. But figured that’s how the room is like. Why would they offer a room to a guest that is broken? Their key cards took several swipes to open door. Front door too hard to shut. Bathroom door doesn’t shut at all. Light switch master light not working correctly. None of the switches in room was working correctly. The Entry light switch was stuck and could only be turned off with the Master light switch. Once you turn off the master light switch the whole room is dark. The greatest issue with this problem was going to restroom in the middle of the night. You would either need to find your way in the dark and risk running into something or turn on all the lights switching the MASTER LIGHT SWITCH ON. How convenience is that? Hand Phone dial tone wasn’t working. Have to use speaker phone every time. The battery was dead. Called about this issue and was not replaced until the last few hours we were there. A/​C unit doesn’t seem to work at it’s proper temperature. We set it for 72 and it would be freezing or 75 and would feel like it’s 90!!! The problem areas became more of an issue on Friday. My friend had doctor’s order to be on bed rest the entire two days we were there. I called the staff answering phone on Friday, during her appointment at around 11:00am to ask if they can move our room closer to the elevator since my friend would be on bed rest and unable to walk far distance. The lady on phone said she would look into it because the rooms were filled and that she needed to get off phone because the phone lines were ringing off the hook. Is that how Elements at the Westin treat a paying first time guest? She took down my contact number and said she would call me back in a few minutes. I NEVER Received a call back from her!!!
Friday evening the issues with the room was making our stay unbearable with the A/​C unit not working properly and the phone not working. I called the front desk and spoke to a man around 5pm. I told him about our issues with the room since we arrived Thursday evening. He confirmed that the master light switch is not supposed to shut off all the lights. I also mentioned all the issues we had. He said the technician left for the day, but would still send someone up. Not sure who the man was, but he came and did NOTHING. He clearly was unable to fix or do anything. He didn’t speak much English. He seemed like he was the maintenance staff. So did a staff just send anyone up to satisfy an unhappy paying guest?
I called the front desk on speaker phone and spoke to Katie the following day at 5pm. I told her that we needed someone to fix our light switch issue and that it was contacted last night that a technician would come the following day. By 5pm NO ONE came to fix the issues we called about. Katie then profusely apologizes and says it was on the schedule and now it wasn’t. I think there was a miscommunication with the technician and the hotel staff. She offers us a bottle of wine for their mistake. How does a bottle of wine FIX an issue that you promised to fix? Anyhow, we are not drinkers and would not need the wine. She then offers complimentary items for our hassle in their convenience store. Still frustrated! I expect better service than offering me food as I am paying for my stay as a first time guest! Katie said the technician left for the day, but would call him back to return to fix it. Since it was end of day, I didn’t want him to return just to fix the light on our last day there! She reassured it was the hotel problem and it needed to be done. Ok! I’ve brought this issue up several times and they just decided to honor my request?!? My friend is on bed rest due to pregnancy and it’s an inconvenience that light switches and A/​C unit doesn’t work properly. It was a horrible first time guest experience to Elements and visitor in Denver.
Don’t let the amazing beautiful pictures of this hotel fool you! Customer service is awful! The complimentary breakfast they offer is included in your room. So don’t say it’s «complimentary» when in fact I’m paying for it. I would expect exceptionally customer service with a name attached to the westin hotel!!! The location of this hotel is definitely a great place, because it’s nearby to all the eateries and shopping mall. However, there are other hotels in the area!!!

This is my first Unilocal review. I normally don’t give out 5’s, but the staff was kind and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. Also, Rebecca (a.k.a.) «Beck» was extremely helpful and caring. I had altitude sickness and she suggested some remedies – which were helpful. I mentioned that we were going hiking near Sedalia and she even printed some information for us; she definitely went above and beyond.
I loved the free coffee, chamomile tea, and breakfast too! The rooms had a simple and minimalistic décor – which reminds me of IKEA! The building is also certified LEED silver – and I appreciate that they are conscious about sustainability. If I ever go back to Denver, I plan on staying here again and I’ll be bringing my dog next time:)

I’m staying in the studio King Suite. This place is great for the price! Highly recommended for a week long vacation. It truly gives you all the comforts of home.

Great place if you don’t want simple amenities like cold drinks, ice, or vending machines. The reason they skimp on the basics is that they are «ecofriendly». Bull. They do not provide clean glassware for multi night guest, instead, the cleaning staff put the glasses in the dishwasher. Washing two glasses in a dishwasher is very ecofriendly. The first morning, the maid knocked on the door at 8:30 am. My wife was still sleeping. We didn’t get a sheet change. This morning someone burned a bagel in the lobby kitchen. A smoke detector went off which automatically set off an alarm causing a building wide evacuation. The first nite we were there, they decided to close the sundry supply store for painting. I needed some Tylenol and wound up driving all over a unfamiliar city for an all nite market,
The free breakfast was excellent and the coffee is very good,
85 bucks a nite doesn’t entitle me to the Waldorf Astoria. I do know that if we stayed at the motel 6, I could get a cold drink.
The physical plant is drop dead beautiful. The rooms have full kitchens which is nice if you want to cook your own meals. If this were an Extended Stay type of place with weekly rates mazaltov. I thought I was checking into a standard hotel. Silly me.
It is very unfortunate that the Westin hotels decided that they could pinch pennies with the amenities. They are probably right. People under 50 have generally been programmed to be docile little sheeple and accept what they are given. I remember better days. One time, in a place far far away, hotel operators made a real effort to give people their money’s worth.
Westin saved a few bucks and hypocritically labeled their stinginess as ecology. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Excellent hotel. This hotel is our new go to place when in the Denver area. It is very unusual to find a hotel which caters to guests with allergies and they have hit it on the spot.
Here are some of the highlights:
1) Cozy and comfortable bed — Their Heavenly bed is beyond amazing.
2) Spa bathroom with walk in rain shower
3) Unique layout and efficient use of space. The hotel designers made the room seem much bigger than it is by not wasting any space.
4) Large window which lets in an abundant amount of light
5) No-​VOC paint used throughout
6) Low-​VOC carpeting
7) Unique LED lighting and light wall makes winding down a pleasure
8) Fast and free Wi-​Fi
9) Full kitchen
So not everything is perfect so here are my suggestions to make the place 5 stars.
1) In the lobby areas, there is a pretty distinct use of fragrance which billows throughout the air conditioning system. I’d recommend to management that they lower the saturation of the fragrance since it is very strong. For those of us with allergies, it can sometimes almost be too much.
2) Dynamic pricing — Our room rate became lower during our stay and the front desk was not able to easily change it. We would have needed to create a new reservation online and then have the front desk check us out and check us in again in order to save money. This is a hassle which could be easily fixed if the front desk was empowered to assist.
Overall, a great place to spend time at when in the south tech center area of Denver.

I was in town visiting my cousin and her family for the weekend, and came across this great deal. The hotel was absolutely impeccable, I loved the décor, breakfast was yummy, and the room was beyond amazing. Everything worked, the neighbor noise was minimal, and the staff was friendly. I want to only stay at Element Hotels from now on!

After researching for a mid-​range hotel outside of the Downtown Denver area, we decided on the Element in Park Meadows. Surprisingly, the experience exceeded by expectations.
First off, the park meadows area is peaceful and very professsional.
Everything from shopping to dining to housing is mid-​to-​upper range, clean & cozy. You won’t kids smoking weed in public (like other parts of colorado) is my point.
Secondly, the hotel offers FREE shuttle serving to any location within 5miles.
What’s nice is the Park Meadows mall is a MUST-​SEE tourist stop located just 5mins from the hotel. Also, things like a trip to the Post Office, or getting to the local trains to Denver are located close-​by, and again, accessible by the free shuttle.
Third and most importantly, the staff is pleasant, patient & professional.
In particular, two front desk associates deserve a special mention for helping me with planning my personal travel intenirary. Matt & Rebecca, two young adults working the evening shift, exemplify what good customer should be.
ATTN management: give these two a raise or personal, paid day-​off.
Lastly, the included breakfast is EXCELLENT… Surpisingly, it wasn’t continental; AKA: stale muffins & sour orange juice & coffee — rather a full spread which included eggs (yellow & white) hashbrowns, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, etc.etc.
Trust me, it’s a great added amenity.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodations outside the immediate downtown Denver area which in only 20mins away.

There’s many hotels to stay in the area. All offer incentives such as free breakfast, wine and finger foods after 5. There’s always one thing that makes a hotel stand out. It’s not the branding, but how that branding is taken to heart or not. Or how successful that branding is itself.
Element is part of the SPG Group. I’ve been a fan of this group. It’s of course easy to say for me since a while back I recognized their ability to keep me happy and satisfied when I was just new to them.
Fast forward to a more recent experience. It’s still the best. Location wise they always manage to stay within a couple of miles to a hub of entertaining places. A mall perhaps? Theater? Trail for hiking/​running. Parks. To name a few.
Always modern. If not they make a point to revamp any old looking properties they have and make it look desirable again.
The Element is no different. It’s in a very desirable location. Close to the above mentioned fun places. Clean, well trained staff. Environmentally conscious and pretty soon will be able to handle iPhone controlled room locks. It’s very close to happening. They already have the NFC component ready. Keyless entry soon with no need to stop by the front desk.
That alone is a major plus to me. It means they’re willing to evolve. No dinosaur here!

I’ve been staying here for 2 months while moving to Colorado. I chose it on a whim for one night… I ended up canceling my other reservation and staying here.
Here are a few things I noticed:
Pro:
This is a business/​work hotel so Holidays usually are really cheap, (a majority of their clientele go home for the holidays.)
The Free continental breakfast is very tasty and the entrée changes daily.
The free happy hour they have during the week is awesome.
The free shuttle saved me a ton of money, and time.
It’s only an hour light-​rail ride to downtown and there is a station down the road.
There is a Movie theater, putt-​putt golf and several restaurants in walking distance.
Cons:
The housekeeping staff didn’t really replenish items as they were supposed to (coffee cups, tp, hand soap, etc.)
Tip:
Check rates by phone and on travel sites to get a good deal.

I can’t believe I forgot to write a review about this place… They infuriated me.
Long story short, I had my dog and was given a pet magnet to place on my door. Front desk had me sign a waiver saying my room would not be cleaned unless I notified them that I was out with my dog. Day one, I returned and found my dog all shaken up in his crate, his food and water spilled around him, and the room spotless; they came in and cleaned — AGAINST their own waiver!
This happened four days in a row until I randomly met the hotel manager and we got to talking. He apologized profusely and said he would make sure it never happens again. Unfortunately, I had one day left at that point and didn’t trust the hotel enough to leave my dog free, so the poor guy had to be locked up all week.
Had I not been raised by my dad, who instilled Murphy’s Law in me at a young age, this could have been a complete disaster. My dog is terrified of strangers, and god forbid something would have happened, I know their waiver would go out the window, and they would blame me. The manager was very kind, but I can’t believe they don’t follow their own policies that I diligently signed on the dotted line for.

Having since been part of the Starwood Preferred Guest program and still relatively new at it, I wanted to check out Element. All I have to say is that first impressions do make lasting impressions as I was greeted by friendly staff and exceptional service that would be expected of a Starwood Hotel.
The room that I happen to stay for the weekend that I was there was a Studio King and it had everything that one could ask for especially those on an extended stay as a majority of the room makes are essentially a modern apartment with a kitchen, and I’m not talking just a microwave, I’m saying fully stocked with stove and pots so you could some of your own healthy cooking if you’d like. The décor of the hotel is just as you’d expect from Starwood Hotels with it’s sleek and modern look with a very eco-​friendly atmosphere that I really enjoyed. They also serve up a healthy complimentary breakfast that I took advantage of that didn’t disappoint and while I saw the ads for their evening social event «Relax» I never got the chance to actually check it out… yet…
I may have only had a brief weekend stay but from first impressions, I’d more than likely return to Element Denver Park Meadows and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Denver area.
Oh and P. S. I totally wish there was one in Oregon, it would only be fitting but it’s just a thought after having experienced what Element has to offer! ;)

Very good. Nice clean modern green hotel. Front desk was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good and the area was kept clean and attended to.
Our room was modern and comfortable. Good coffee at front area. Good price. Overall great stay for one night. Wonderful showers! Beautiful sinks and bathrooms.

My husband & I stayed at the element for a full week in June. Our stay was extremely enjoyable. I wavered between giving the hotel 4 & 5 stars for quite some time. The only reason I am going with 4 is the pool situation. First let me list the things element did right:
–Breakfast! Lots of options, better than all the other hotel breakfast buffets I’ve tried in the past. Hot coffee available in the lobby all the time including real mugs so you can sit down on the patio & enjoy it without having to drink out of a paper cup.
–Front Desk — friendly, attentive & always available. There were some severe thunderstorms during our stay & the desk staff kept a close eye on the weather & kept us informed when we asked for an update.
–Convenience Store — a handy little 711 like shop (but more stylish) off the lobby that sells everything you might need or want during your stay.
–In-​room Kitchen — SUCH a nice perk. Dishwasher, full sized fridge with freezer, sink, stove (no oven) & cabinets full of all the essentials (dish towels, plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, wine key, can opener, etc. They thought of everything!
–Bathroom — stand-​up shower only, but the showerhead is to die for! Overhead rainshower style plus secondary spray that can be detached. Thinking of buying the same model for my home, I loved it so much.
–Bed — luxury linens, great pillows & very comfortable mattress.
–Housekeeping — came every day & did a wonderful job. The one day they arrived at an inconvenient hour, the desk called our room later to see if we would like them to return or skip a day, so considerate!
–Design — If you appreciate a well-​styled room & overall surroundings, you will enjoy this modern, sleek, tastefully done interior.
–Eco-​friendly — Everything they do is earth friendly/​conservation heavy, from the low-​flush toilets/​sinks, to the reusable rather than disposable dishes both in room & in the common area, the one switch power down for the room & I’m sure there are other measures Im not aware of. A nice concept!
The one downside is that the saltwater pool everyone raved about in the Unilocal reviews was not so hot. I had been looking forward to relaxing by the pool, but ended up opting not to because it was a) indoors & b) not that appealing. It was relatively small & though it didn’t appear to be unclean, that area of the hotel was clearly not as invested in as all other areas. It was a bit of a let-​down, but not reason enough to not stay here. The rooms, staff & concept are all excellent, as is the location close to hiking, shopping, eating/​drinking & recreation options. There is a movie theater, nail salon, bowling alley, pizza place, bar & several other shops within very close walking distance. I would stay here again if I return to Denver-​A+!

Free wifi, updated rooms, salt-​water pool, hot/​cold breakfast and a Westin bed? For $ 72? YES. This place is great. Decided to have a staycation and chose this hotel. Very happy we did.
The rooms are bigger than your standard room, with the kitchenette and a nice, large, bathroom. The bed, of course… ahhh.
There’s the little convenience ‘store’ downstairs… with full bottles of wine. Oh yes.
The shower and bathroom are great sizes, and everything was clean. My only caveat was that you could hear your neighbors below/​above if you were in the bathroom, which was strange.
Great breakfast options, as well. The location can’t be beat, either, with Park Meadows down the street and a hundred restaurants to choose from!

I tend to travel to Denver in support of my work duties and in the past few years I’ve stayed at several hotels in the area. Being part of the Starwood Hotel network, naturally I am a loyal customer and stay at the Westin. The Westin hotel locations in the Denver area are not convenient, so I always stay here at the Element by Westin. It’s as lavish as any other Westin, but lacks the full room service. As compensation, the hotel offers other amenities, such as, executive and one bedroom suites that include fully equipped kitchenette arrangements. The hotel uses Eco friendly materials throughout with large windows to let natural light in. The lobby is very comfortable with a lounge area, dining tables and a amazing outdoor seating and grill area. All rooms include their signature Heavenly Beds, which are just heavenly, it’s like sleeping in a bed of fluffy clouds.
Every morning, they offer a healthy breakfast at Rise, a free breakfast bar or their 24 hour Restore, a grab and go pantry. They also hold a social event each evening called Relax, which offers complementary beer, wine and soda, as well as a variety of appetizers like pizza, quesadillas, bread sticks, buffalo wings, pork buns, veggies and salads. I’ve attended a few of these and I’ve been impressed each time. Also, they have a coffee station that has hot fresh brewed coffee anytime you need it, free of charge.
The staff here is incredible in many ways, always ready to please and make their guests feel comfortable. The exceptional service is what initially attracted me to the Starwood hotel network, like the W, Westin, Le Meridian, the Palace, St. Regis, Sheraton and others. They always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. The service and lavishness of this hotel and others are just two reasons what made me a loyal Gold member, including timeshare ownership at the Westin in Cancun. I’ve rarely been disappointed at the many places I’ve stayed at. The Element is one of my favorites, mainly because of the amenities it offers for extended stays.
