Established in 1984.

Dr. Nozaki grew up in Gardena and he always wanted to establish his business in the South Bay area. He loves the fact that many of his patients have been with him since he began back in 1984, …when he had more hair. Let us know how long you’ve been «seeing» Dr. Nozaki!

Dr. Nozaki loves Jesus Christ, his wife of 27 years, Janet, and his two wonderful daughters: Amanda and Jessica. You will see by his office décor, that he also enjoys Disneyland a LOT! He is so proud that Amanda works there now. He has been on 4 different missions trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic to provide eyecare and glasses. Dr. Nozaki enjoys teaching children in Sunday school, Hawaii, cars, and how terrible he is at golf.

Excellent tools/​technology. Very thorough (I’ve used contacts in the past and just now from this doc do i know i’m supposed to replace the contact case every 3 months and the appropriate steps to rinse the lenses). And the place is immaculate. Above all the customer service is very genuine. The staff greets you by name. The doctor is kind and speaks to you as a family member. The doctor even gave me an abundance of expensive solution given that I have dry eyes. Of course, as wherever you go, make sure you call your insurance to confirm you qualify for certain things AND know your co-​pay beforehand.

Great optometrist, latest equipment, nice selection of frames. I have been going to Dr. Nozaki since my old optometrist retired five years ago. i should have come sooner. I have progressive bifocals and the ones I get from him are a huge improvement. Very friendly and great with my kids as well.

Hands down, THE BEST OPTOMETRIST AROUND!!! Dr. Nozaki is awesome! A+. He’s super knowledgeable & owns high tech, top notch equip. Not to mention he’s a Disney fanatic which is pretty cool ‘cuz he has a whole Disney set up in the exam room. He’s great! I must say I miss Tasha at the front desk ‘cuz the older lady there isn’t as pleasant to deal with anyhow, you won’t regret going to Dr. Nozaki~ he’s the best the South Bay has got! :)

Absolute top eye examiner in town – unusually thorough exams with brand-​new top-​notch equipment – kind bedside manner I referred many family and friends to Ken –explains the teststest and gives you good clear answers – and his costs are reasonable

I am blessed to have had the best optometrist who I have been seeing now for well over 20 years. I moved away from the South Bay over 15 years ago, and still make the drive to Lomita, just to see Dr. Nozaki. Dr. Nozaki has been there through my first experience at putting contact lenses in (not so fun) :) to my annual visits of checking and monitoring my eyes to ensure there are no concerns. I would not place the care of my eye care to anyone else. Dr Nozaki is kind, patient and truly a genuine person who cares. His support team, Cheryl (who has been there all these years) and Tasha offer a welcoming environment and outstanding customer service. I cannot say enough great things about him, his team, and his practice… in fact I often tell him that retirement can never be an option for him. :)

I needed to find a new eye doctor by my house so I went and looked on Unilocal reviews. I’m so glad I did. By all the 5 star reviews that Dr. Nozaki got, I wanted to see for myself. I had the best first visit. His staff were very professional, friendly, caring and not trying to rush me out of there. Dr. Nozaki was awesome!!! I loved all the Disney stuff in the office. He was very thorough, patient and I could tell he really truly cared about me. He explained everything he was doing and why. I have never had a more thorough exam at an eye doctor. I would recommend my friends and family to go see Dr. Nozaki. Also, his products are very reasonable and up to date. I found my eye doctor for life!

I have been a patient of Dr. Nozaki for years. After moving to Torrance, I decided to go to my husband’s eye doctor, a popular man with a large clientele. He was located within walking distance to my home. As a newbie, I was given to one of the newer partners. Long story short – I didn’t receive the care Dr. Nozaki had always given me. I went back to Dr. Nozaki although I need to drive 20 – 30 minutes from my home to his office. He’s worth it! My three children get their glasses from Dr. Nozaki as well. His magic tricks and genuine interest in their lives make him an awesome doctor!

I have been Dr. Nozaki’s patient for 27 years. My kids and husband are now his patients too. He’s a great Dr. and an even better person.
Unlike the other franchised optometry businesses that rush patients, we always get quality, personalized service and never feel rushed out the door. My kids love going to his office because they love looking at his Disney collectibles!
His office is well maintained (always clean), kid-​friendly and he uses innovative equipment.
I recommend Dr. Nozaki to anyone who is looking for a good personal or family eye doctor.

I am almost legally blind — I have been going to Dr. Nozaki for around 17 years now (I started seeing him when I was in second grade). He’s not only a great optometrist but a great person! The staff is also wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about him, his employees, and his practice.

Dr. Nozaki’s office has accommodated my last minute appointment twice. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick check up the first time and last minute check-​up on a Saturday.
They have a very good selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses. The place is decorated with Disney posters and statues which makes it good for kids that are waiting at the lobby.

The best optometrist in the South Bay area if not all of LA! Dr. Kent is caring, diligent and friendly and loves Disney. I recommend him to all of my friends, family and co-​workers and all of them have referred their friends to him as well. He has a great location that is freeway close with easy parking and super friendly staff. He carriers the latest frames from Nike to Tommy Bahamas to Donna Karan. He also offers a thorough set of eye exams (glaucoma included). You won’t regret visiting Dr. Kent and neither will your eyes!

Great place to go to get your eyes taken care of. Loves Disney and provides great service. Also, you know that glaucoma eye puff test, he has a machine that makes that obsolete!
