History

Established in 1990.

Ray Livengood, President /​CEO of Livengood Construction, has years of experience in the building trades. At the age of seventeen, Ray began his first venture in the construction industry. Eventually, Ray launched his own construction company, Livengood Construction. As a General Contractor Ray has exceeded many of his customers expectations; this is due to his attention to detail, fine craftsmanship, and his ability to efficiently and effectively manage a variety of construction projects. Past projects include additions, restorations, custom new homes, exterior improvements, furniture, maintenance, remodeling, wine cellars, and bars.

Business Owner

Ray began his first venture as a siding contractor specializing in cedar, in the Midwest. Durring this venture, Ray acted on customer requests to build custom homes.

While building custom and ranch homes in the Midwest, Ray helped develope new and innovative building techniques to improve structures to better withstand wind shear from tornados in the region. Ray also incorporated techniques to allow homes to be more energy efficient as the region could see temperatures as low as –40 below zero to 100 above zero.

Ray then started building on the East Coast where his emphasis on building for extreme cold and tornado’s, shifted to building homes to better endure hurricanes and humid wet climates. It was at this point that Ray changed his focus to remodeling and restorations aspect of home building.

When Ray began building on the West Coast, he consentrated his focus on understanding seismic stress, and incorporated all his experience to now deliver an outstanding product!
