We love Mexican food! So me, my boyfriend and grandma decided to give this place a try after drive past it a few times. First off, the décor is like a club. Huge speakers surrounding the bar and strobe lights hanging from the ceiling. There’s nobody there except us, we were hesitate on trying the food so we just ordered drinks at first. We tried the margaritas on the rocks and. It was OKAY. A little too sweet for my liking, I could hardly taste the tequila. We decided to order some food, the menu sounds really good. The guy working told us the chile rellenos were really good there so I ordered that. My grandma ordered chicken enchiladas and my boyfriend ordered the carne Asada. When the food came the plates were hot but the plates were warm. My chili rellenos were gross! The cheese was not like any cheese I’ve ever had in a relleno. The carne asada was tough and dry. My grandma said the chicken enchiladas were okay, but those aren’t really hard to mess up. Over all the food seemed like it was all frozen and microwaved. The beans def. came from a can. And when we asked for our check it took him forever since he had to look at the menu and write down all the prices by hand. It was 62 $ wasted on food we could’ve made ourselves at home. We were really disappointed. This place will not be open for long. Don’t waste your time, you’re better off going to a taco truck then stopping here.

Came in and it was empty. Severs was ok very slow and unorganized but the man that gave us our chips and salsa look more interested in how he look then then getting them to us. They don’t serve rice and beans with dinner WTF? And no desert and we had to get up and ask how our check…

So. We love Mexican food– we’ve seen a few businesses flow through this location that haven’t made a go(since the original Mexican Restaurant was here which we patronized weekly) With all the holiday craziness, I decided I’d pick up food to go on Saturday. I was the only person in there which was great for me but not for them. As you can see from the pics, they have quite a menu of choices to pick from. I went with our«norms» that we pick from all of our other favorite restaurants. Chile Relleno, Enchiladas, Tacos. Beans, Rice, Chips and Salsa. So I absolutely loved their Chile Relleno– it’s the best I’ve had in a while. However if you’re not a fan of the battered«whole» chile Relleno with seeds and all, its not for you– but truly it was delicious! Cheese Enchiladas with the gravy were comparable to our favorite restaurant. Loved the Carne Asada Taco and especially the Ground Beef Taco which not all Mexican restaurants have. Both tacos have sour cream and guacamole. Hubs loved the rice and beans.(I get stuff a la carte) cause I tend to eat a lot of chips and salsa. Another post commented that the salsa was spicy– and it does have kick. But I loved it and the flavor was perfect. Bummer that the chips and salsa aren’t free«to-go», but it is included if you dine in. I read a couple of the other reviews. Everyone has their preferences of flavor and I’m not sure what they ordered based on their review, but we loved everything we had, and will definitely come back, I plan on using them on my next business appointment for catering if they ask for Mexican food. Hope Blue Zebra stays open. We plan on coming back soon.

The audience was 0 and the food was not good at all. The restaurant had no heat and they had an outdoor heater that didn’t work because of no propane. Not sure if you want to spend the money to get nothing in return. Don’t think they’ll make it very long

As a Mexican food conesuiour and having eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in Lodi. I compare dish for dish. There crunchy tacos are good and they come with guacamole and sour cream. There chili relleno was good as well. Thick breading. lots of these. I’ve got to give it to them on there refried beans, the best in town. There salsa was a little hotter then I like. I will eat here again.

Nothing special. The food was ok, the salsa was ok, the chips were ok. I was the only one there on a Thursday afternoon. Service was ok.
