Can stop getting the cocktail. It is so fresh and tasty. The Corona familiar michelada is the bomb too. If u want Mexican seafood this is definitely the spot.

Why there are only 54 reviews puzzles me. It’s not anything fancy and a little small but the food is great! This is my first time here and the place is PACKED with a line at the door and a waiting list to be seated. We by passed this by sitting at the bar :) Instead of free chips and salsa we were given fish ceviche and tostadas while we waited for our order. Omg. It was delicious. This is a very AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant with loud music playing. When a Mexican place is FULL of Hispanic people all laughing and having a great time… You know this is the place to be when you want some good food & good times! The wait staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Husband had the 7mares soup, I had the bass plate and we tried a couple of the special oysters. All the seafood tasted fresh!

This place never ceases to amaze me with their dishes. After a friend kept telling us to try the pineapple… we finally did. I was hesitant with all the different seafood in it such as, octopus, but WOW. Definitely changed my mind on octopus. It was tender and the flavors were so delicious. Then I also tried the michelada encabronada(?), I think it’s called… wow. It was a meal in itself and so delicious. Took friends there and they’re hooked as they should be. The dishes are good quality and prepared the way they should be. Can’t wait to go back and wish they had one in Stockton… preferably off Trinity Parkway so I can eat there once a week… jk, but really think about it Las Islitas Mariscos owner hahahaha.

I ordered the mojara al mojo de ajo, it was delicious, but lots of tiny bones so I couldn’t really enjoy it. Side salad was yummy(because they don’t use iceberg-thank God!). Rice & beans were cold. Shrimp empanadas were delicious, & so were the 2 sauces they bring you to pair them with. Complimentary fish ceviche w/tostadas & crackers is a plus. If you don’t like fish ceviche like me, drench it in chile and lime & it’s edible! We went on a Friday evening & had to wait for about 45 minutes for a table. BF ordered steak & shrimp which was drenched in cheese & he stated it was«BOMB!» We will return!

I had lunch here today. I had the shrimp cocktail. It had so much shrimp in it that I couldn’t finish it all. I’m a big guy with a big appetite. The whole experience was fantastic. The servers were great. The atmosphere was neat and the food was to die. I will return many times.

No word will explain the taste and quality of food here. Not oily or salty. Reasonable price. Differently we will stop by more often. Highly recommend special fajitas.

What an awesome experience! Didn’t think it would be walking in seeing the atmosphere. Great Customer Service! Went there for my Son’s 26 Bday! Food was awesome!!! Don’t come here looking for your traditional mexican food! They specialize in seafood which was Bodacious!!! Will definitely go back again and again!!! Props to the Creater! Instead of complementary chips and salsa, you get Ceviche and chips. THUMBSUP!!!

Excellent Mexican seafood. Found this place on Unilocal as we were driving through. We will return! A few non seafood choices were available but don’t bother. The seafood dishes are to die for!

Friendly staff and the ceviche & tortas they put on the table are really great, but unfortunately that was the best part of the meal. The beans didn’t have much going on and the meats were fairly dry.

If you’re on the search for variety and the best mariscos, look no further because this is the spot! I love how they bring out complimentary ceviche and tostadas when you sit down. Never had a problem with the service, everyone has always been very attentive and we’ve been here several times. The food is amazing and considering I’m from Nayarit myself, I know my seafood.

By far the best Mexican seafood, the food is phenomenal. Awesome service. Very consistent, wasn’t sure I would get the same great flavor upon each subsequent visit and they were spot on. Very much a locals place so expect authentic Latino clientele, yet the staff speak perfect English. This Gringo loves this place, my wife was raised in Mexico and brought me for the first time and now I’m hooked as is she. Everything taste amazingly fresh. Instead of chips and salsa they start you with tostada shells and ceviche!!!

Authentic Mexican– you won’t find guacamole and queso but you will find REAL Coke(divine!) and one heck of a delicious pineapple and seafood dish specialty. A half hollowed out pineapple with the pineapple sauted with abalone, shrimp, crab, etc in a spicy sweet sauce stuffed back in the pineapple. Heaven! At $ 17 this is by far their most expensive dish. My husbands carnitas fajitas were simple yet fabulous for half the price. The ambiance leaves much to be desired(-*) but I was satisfied with the friendly service, prices, and authenticity!

Hole in the wall restaurant that I would of never found unless using Unilocal!=) Inside a shopping center with Kmart next to it, I thought to myself, «hole in the wall places are the BEST!» Their prices here, you absolutely cannot beat anywhere else, especially for seafood! Their ceviche is outstanding!!! Soaked in lime juice, and some other stuff that I can’t even begin to guess… Bottom line… Stop by!!!

We found this place as a Unilocal review and had to see what the fuss was about. Las Islitas Mariscos in Lodi is a seafood lovers find. Not your ordinary seafood fair, but some of the most deliciously prepared Mexican dishes we have ever tried. Whereas most Mexican eateries will seat you and give you complimentary chips and salsa, this place dishes out a bowl of their house ceviche with crackers and tostadas. We had the Molcajete, a large steaming bowl full of mussels, crab, two kinds of shrimp, octopus, abalone, and baby clams. In a word, incredible. We also had the camarones a la crema, a cheesy shrimp dish that satisfied the need for creamy goodness! Sides of beans and rice barely got touched because you get such large portions of actual seafood! all you need are a couple of tortillas and something cold to wash it all down with! Definitely an amazing place we will visit again.

I almost wish I lived in Lodi so I could go to this wonderful Mexican seafood restaurant more often. It is located in a rather nondescript shopping center. They did put some thought into the interior; it really is pretty. The side of the bar is the side of a boat, and cabin of the boat is the back of the bar. All the interior doors are metal and they look like ship doors with portholes. There are a few game fish on the wall, I suspect these did not come out of an ocean. I enjoyed both meals I had here. I love raw oysters. The plumb ones I had here were fresh and reasonably priced. The first time I stopped here I shared a plate of beef fajitas with Linda. The meat was tender and flavorful When S and I came back I had Camarones Diablo and S had the 7 Mar soup. There was a lot of crab in the shell and other assorted fish. The broth tasted of the sea. He liked the soup and I sure like my dish. The shrimp were not over cooked and the peppers and onions were gently sautéed so they retained a bit of crunch. I don’t think I have ever been to a Mexican restaurant that brought complementary ceviche to the table. It was a nice change from salsa.

This is a Mexican seafood restaurant. They do not serve the normal Mexican restaurant fare. No tacos, burritos or enchiladas here. The did have cheese quesadillas though! Used a groupon. Nice restaurant with good food and decent size portions. Yummy lunch specials for $ 6.99 Served from 11am to 2 pm. The ‘lunch specials’ are the same as the dinner items only $ 6 less. Started with yummy ceviche and tostada shells instead of salsa and chips… nice touch. We had the creamy shrimp $ 6.99 and the breaded shrimp plate $ 6.99 The only suggestion I would have is to cook the shrimp less. Makes them tough. The breaded shrimp were different and good. Light batter, not overwhelming. The rice and beans were tasty. Bottled(Mexican Coke $ 2) and canned soda($ 1.25)…no refills. Good service. I will return…
