Sonia Dhillon, DDS

I have finally found a great dentist for myself & my family! Dr. Dhillon has a presence about her that makes me feel very comfortable. All of her staff are friendly & welcoming. She is honest about what work needs to be done, no more, no less. She has many years of experience and it shows in her work & great craftsmanship. She really looks out for her patients. I couldn’t ask for a better dentist!

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Dhillon for almost 8 years, and I can’t say enough good things about her and the staff. She is always friendly, professional and has done several procedures on wife and I from bi-​annual cleanings to removal of wisdom teeth. I even had a cracked tooth a couple years ago and she referred me to a great endodontist who performed the root canal, then Dr. Dhillon had me back to get my crown put on. She’s a great dentist and I’m lucky to have found her office by random chance after moving to Livermore.

Dr. Dhillon’s staff was inviting, friendly, and offered me water upon my arrival. There is ample parking available outside, and I was seen within minutes of my scheduled appointment.
I am very weary of choosing dentists due to poor experiences in the past. Dr. Dhillon’s staff took great care during the x-​ray process and made those few minutes as comfortable as can be.
Regarding the actual cleaning, Dr. Dhillon did a complete deep cleaning of my teeth. I had not seen a dentist in almost 2 years and Dr. Dhillon took her time in measuring my gums, meticulously cleaning my teeth, and leaving my mouth feeling cleaner than ever. She provided some tips and was very easy to speak with both before, during, and after the visit.
It is not easy to find a good dentist, and I think anyone who doesn’t visit Dr. Dhillon is doing their own teeth and smile a disservice.
I drove 30 miles from the East Bay to visit Dr. Dhillon, and look forward to returning in 6 months!

Highly recommend Dr Sonia! Dr Sonia has been our dentist for 8 years. She does an excellent job cleaning our teeth. She has done numerous procedures in myself and my husband. Everyone is extremely friendly and she makes sure you are always comfortable.

Amazing! I live in Concord, but I had a wisdom tooth that was cracked and desperately needed it taken out. She was the closest dentist that could take care of wisdom teeth and it was well worth the drive! Not only was Dr. Dhillon incredibly sweet and patient, but she made the procedure super quick and painless. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Livermore area. Her staff was also incredibly nice. Thank you for turning a very painful problem into a great experience.

More interested in your $$ than your welfare.
I’ve been going here for a couple of years and finally had enough.
The first time I went, Dr Dhillon she asked if I «was working.» Knew that’s a red flag and sensed she was trying to get as much $$ as possible from my visit (sadly, research showed this to sadly true of many dentists because they want to retire early). I had X-​rays done with my past dentist, but of course, they had to do them again (even though I offered to get them sent), disregarding my welfare bc of radiation – which has proven to be a serious concern. Then, she recommended a $ 500+ teeth mold even though she knew I was on Medi-​Cal. Really? Sadly, I’ve noticed only the desperate and not very good doctors accept Denti-​Cal.
The second time I went on a Tuesday, there was a different dentist. The assistant encouraged me to make all my future appts with her on a Tuesday to get this dentist. Why? You take a guess. Though, I admit: I liked her better.
The last time I went — will be the last.
My insurance only pays for cleanings every year but I like every 6 months so I pay for one. The first year it was $ 60. Then, $ 65. Now, it’s $ 75!
To the receptionist, I exclaimed it went up quite a bit and it would have been nice if they had told me of the increase Before my appt. I mean, they have 6 months… The receptionist was VERY rude. Totally hateful, negative energy. She could have apologized or something. She could’ve mentioned this Unilocal deal. Anything. Nothing. Her attitude was so «FU.» She said, «IT GOES UP EVERY YEAR.» REALLY? Who does that???
This wasn’t the first time they were rude but, as I said, I’ve had enough this time. First you want to overcharge me and now you’re rude on top of it. People deserve better!

What brought me to Dr. Dhillon was a cracked Crown due to a head-​butt from my very rambunctious Schnuazer puppy, a couple weekends ago! I didn’t realize how bad it was until I had a sip of Iced Tea and almost buckled from the pain that emanated from my tooth! I immediately called my regular Dentist, but since it was a Friday evening I wasn’t able to reach him. So I called his answering service and left an urgent message for him to call me back! Well after 2 hours of waiting and not knowing what the outcome would be I called 1 – 800 Dentist who immediately went to work to find me a highly recommended Dentist who would be able to see me first thing Saturday morning and Dr. Sonia Dhillon came up. I confirmed with such apprehension because I don’t know her and second, I am terrified of dentists.
However, because of the situation I couldn’t wait and had to resolve the issue at hand… and rid myself of the Brain piercing pain I was feeling from this tooth! When I showed up at her office, I was a nervous wreck… but 10min. with Dr. Dhillon and she had me at ease and had brought down my anxiety level from a 10 to a 5! She was very gentle… understanding and empathetic to my concerns. By the end of the visit we had completed a Root Canal and had a Veneer ordered! Also, we had scheduled a couple appointments for next month to address some older Crowns I have that need to be replaced.
After that visit, I have decided to make her my permanent Dentist… since, my regular Dentist didn’t return my call until Sunday!
Dr. Sonia Dhillon is amazing and her staff is knowledgeable, patient and just as kind and understanding as she is. I definitely recommend her, especially to those of us who are terrified of Dentists… she definitely will change your mind, take care of your teeth and leave you feeling less fearful and in my case looking forward to my next appointment with her.

First impression is everything and I am very impressed with everything. Clean office, polite and happy staff. And they are not pushy about a procedure. Dr Dhillon explained everything and asked me what I wish to do and when. I will recommend her to everyone.

This is the worst dental office I have ever been to! It is absolutely filthy. The carpet, chairs, even the door frames leading into the rooms from the waiting area are black! A dirty waiting room. .really?
The staff including Dr dhillon are condescending and snooty. They have been rude in person and on phone. Is it because they accept dentical? They think they are better than their clients?
I would give them a zero if I could. STAY AWAY!

She has the patience of a saint. For some reason I always fall asleep. She works with that and remains highly professional when the block pops out of my mouth. Always warm and caring.
She has done amazing work. I went in with 3 infected teeth needing root canals. She prescribed a good, strong antibiotic to combat the infection. She has done good work on the teeth that need it. She can see when I hit my limit and she has been working around that. I go in for my 3 crowns next Friday.
She is helping me have better oral hygiene.

Dr Dhillon is everything you want in a dentist! Quick and to the point, tells you exactly what you want to hear, but most of all making sure that you are comfortable and pain free. I have also had the other Dr that shares the building with her and she was just as amazing. Her staff of assistants and even her front desk assistant are very friendly. If you haven’t had work done in quite some time or just looking for a new dentist do not hesitate to give Dr Dhillon a go.

Dr. Dillon is such a saint. I saw her for the first time in SF on a Friday because I had what I thought was a broken filling. Due to previously bad dental work I actually had to get a root canal and a new crown. Because I was leaving the next day on a red-​eye to Hawaii for 2 weeks she was nice enough to fit me in the next day so that I wouldn’t have to suffer the entire time I was gone.
Dr. Dillon and her assistant made the root canal and new crown as painless as those two things can be. They constantly checked in with me during the procedure to make sure that I was ok and that I didn’t feel anything. It is now one day later and I feel as good as new! Thank you so much to the whole practice for your excellent level of care and hospitality!

My visit with Dr. Dhillon was excellent. I am a returning patient for years and wouldn’t think of going any were else. Wonderful doctor and staff.

Took my daughter in to see Sonia Dhillon. She told us she doesn’t treat people in wheelchairs, but would call us with a referral. She never did call back with the referral. Can I give her a 0 stars? Totally felt like discrimination against the disabled.

The Dr identified that I had 5 cavities. I got a second opinion and amazingly, I didn’t have a single cavity and three years later still no cavities. This was unacceptable conduct by a professional and likely a regular practice. She had dine other work without question. I wonder if they were legitimate procedures. STAY AWAY!!!

I do not like Sonia Dhillon at all! She tortured me! I believe it is her way to force people to do what she suggested. In my case it was root canal. She had applied some kind stuff and it was really painful, I told to dr. Dhillon that it hurts! You think she stopped to do that? No! She applied 4!!! more times. I guess she just want make sure that I believe that I do have severe problems. I have not even leave the chair when an assistant approached me and ask when do I like to make an appointment. Seriously? End of the story: I went to see another dentist and as you can predict she did not find any other problem except regular cavity which can be easy to fix without doing root canal.

I love this dentist! Since 2009, the level of care my children. and I receive from her and tasha, the rda, has been outstanding.

Dr. Dhillon is awesome! She’s so sweet and stayed open late to make sure I got all of the procedures I needed!
She’s very professional and caring too. The staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgable too.

I absolutely love Dr Dhillon, I come from Antioch to see her. She is so great and honest. I am a fearful patient and she has been nothing but amazing. I went 6 yrs with out seeing a dentist and she was very respectful of my fears and addressed each issue (9 cavities, a root canal/​crown, and deep cleaning) with patients and understanding.
I highly recommend her and her staff.
