Endre Selmeczy DMD

I have the best dental cleaning experience ever. Dr. Selmeczy’s dental hygienist, Johnny was the best ever. She was the most gentle, yet very thorough when she did my cleaning. I almost fell asleep. I did not need any numbing agents. I would highly recommend this place they do not make you feel rushed. Very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere! I would say that if you’re looking for a great dentist, you will not be disappointed with this fantastic team. Truly care for your dental needs.

My best friend recently had some major work done on her teeth. She found Dr. Endre Selmeczy DDS through her sister, and the entire office was just phenomenal. If I would have known that there are dentists like this out there I would not have that fear that I’m sure a majority of people have.
It’s a small office that is located smack down in the middle of a neighborhood. The exterior blends in with the surrounding houses, so be on the look out for the giant tooth that gives them away. The interior is just as charming as the exterior. This converted house has a small waiting area complete with two couches, a TV with gaming console attached, and a variety of magazines scattered on the coffee table.
I read my book in the lobby for a few minutes before asking if I could keep her company in the room. After a minute of deliberation between everyone they happily let me into the room. Even though she was under some heavy medication she still recognized me and was very happy to see me. I sat at the end of the chair and out of their way while they worked. The man himself, Dr. Selmeczy was amazing. He did everything in his power to make her feel comfortable, and it worked. Before doing anything he told her (and me), what he was doing. Making jokes between working to lighten the mood. His whole demeanor is one not just of a great dentist, but a great person in general.
A second shout out needs to go to Johnnie the hygienist. Like Dr. Selmeczy Johnnie did everything she could to make her feel comfortable. Her job alone took up a little over an hour, and the entire time she made sure to take periodic breaks to check on her.
This office deserves every single one of the five stars given. Judging by the reviews, I know I’m not the only one who thinks so.

I’ve been going here for more than 5 years. These guys do a great job, they are friendly and courteous and they make the experience more pleasant with quick service, in room tv and quick check out. I’ve been nothing but pleased with my care and I would highly recommend them.

Loved my experience with Dr. Selmeczy and his office! I went in with a broken tooth and was back home 2 hours later with a brand new crown! I was a new patient, and I was able to have a consultation, and all the work completed in that time. My new crown is so much better than any others I have had in the past, so natural looking, and I still can’t believe it was all done in two hours! The whole experience was great, and Dr. Selmeczy and his staff are wonderful to work with. I will be recommending this office to everyone now, why wait days for dental work when you don’t have to?

I actually chose this dentist because of Unilocal.I needed a new dentist after having a bad experience with Coast Dental and I didn’t want to risk a place with bad reviews. This place didn’t disappoint me for sure!
When I entered this office I didn’t get the feeling that I am in a dental office. It’s more like a home. The staff is very friendly and will really work around my schedule to accommodate me.
I had my first consultation with dr Selmeczy and after that I knew I found my dentist… He is conservative with what he recommends and has never pressured me into any expensive treatments. He took his time to explain very nice and simple what problems I have and he let me decide what I want to get done first. I have had two crowns done there and I am very happy with the results. What I loved the most is that you get the crown done in about 2 hours. They have the Cerec machine and the crown is getting molded in 15 min, right next to you.
I also had my teeth cleaned couple of times by Johnie and she is wonderful. I could sit in her chair for hours and watch TV and even forget that she is working in my mouth:))) I can only say great things about them.
If you need a new dentist, I totally recommend this office!

Going to the dentist has never been a fun thing for me. As a young teen I had an abscessed tooth which became problematic over the years with root canals, crowns, posts, etc. It finally gave up and I had to have something done more permanently. Dr. Endre and his staff came in on a weekend and got me a temporary (front tooth); and then followed up with a full implant. Even though there are many things I’d rather be doing than going to the dentist, this is as good as it gets. They are kind and caring and try to make you as comfortable as possible through the process. Don’t expect miracles, only that they will do the best job and work with you on the payment. I also had other teeth that were very sensitive and after having work done on those, I no longer have a sensitivity problem. I would highly recommend Dr. Endre & his staff.

I hope to keep my teeth as I age and know the importance of having nice teeth because it usually transcends to having a nice smile, and, well… everyone likes a nice smile, right? (I also maybe happened to see a youtube video of some guy who had maggots infesting his gums underneath his rotting teeth… and if that isn’t motivation enough to see the dentist regularly then I don’t know what is)
So I’m new to the area and need a dentist. I’m not a fan of this dentist picking process because I’ve been suckered in my some pretty crappy offices in the past, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do and I lucked my way over to Dr. Selmeczy’s office. I had to schedule a pre-​cleaning consult, which I was baffled about at first, but made sense after I went to. I’d never really had a pre-​consult with a dentist before… I usually just go in, get cleaned, get up-​sold on a bunch of stuff, and leave. The pre-​consult was actually a one-​on-​one with Dr. Selmeczy where he asked me questions about my health, my dentist phobia, my sleeping, and pretty much anything that could involve any issues that I might be having with my teeth. He was very thorough, drew pictures explaining what he was talking about and what was going on in my mouth, and never once made me feel rushed, awkward or uncomfortable. I actually really liked that his offices schedule these and think more dentists would benefit from a similar practice. After my consult, I scheduled my cleaning and the dental hygienist was gentle, informative, and thorough as well. Not only that, but the staff all seems super friendly too.
I’m really impressed with this Dentist Office and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

I had this tooth that was «fixed» by two other dentists, n I kept biting through the filling.
Anyway, I gave up, the last time it had to be gold, yadda, yadda, n then after all that it hurt for a year as it settled, and food kept getting caught … I suffered for 3 or 4 years. Very frustrating. I asked Doc if he could fix it, he looked … Then said I can do something with that .
Well, it was fixed on Wednesday, it doesn’t hurt, n food isn’t getting caught anymore. Right now I’m eating raw carrots n chomping away with no pain and no regrets! Thanks Doc.

Finding a new dentist and/​or doctor is never an easy experience. After taking my two young adult guys here, I am so impressed and happily surprised. Most dentists are booked weeks or even months out, not the case here. They got the boys in quickly and made sure all work was completed before my oldest returned to college. This included getting him in within 30 minutes of a phone call. Customer service lacks in so many businesses these days and it is so refreshing to have such a great experience. My boys also felt very comfortable and have made several comments on how much they like going there! I haven’t ever heard these comments from them before. I highly recommend …

I first met Dr. Selmeczy over 6 years ago and can tell you from a professional perspective that he is one of the most knowledgeable people in dentistry! He is excellent at keeping up with the best practices and latest technologies to provide the highest level of dental care possible. I remember the first time I visited his office and how relaxing and comfortable the environment is for a dental practice. He is highly concerned about the comfort of his patients during procedures also as evident from his expertise in sedation dentistry. He and his staff offer a complete range of services, so if you are looking for a dentist in the Tri-​Valley, I highly recommend you call Dr. Selmeczy!

Big compliments to Dr Selmeczy and his staff. They are always very friendly in a comforting environment. Dr. Selmeczy is very gentle and explains his treatment thoroughly. His techniques are state of the art. He created my new crown with CEREC technology. He took precise measurements through digital imaging. I actually got to watch the design process and saw my beautiful crown fabricated right before my eyes. It was nothing short of amazing. No impressions taken, no temporary crown and no waiting 2 weeks for the crown to come back from the lab. I went home with my perfectly fitted crown the same day. To sum it up, it was quick, easy and painless with very competitive pricing.

I would recommend Dr. Selmeczy to anyone in the area. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Selmeczy himself is calm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable; so much so, that after I moved to San Jose after two years of being with him, I still come back to Livermore for my cleaning twice a year.
The effort is easy when you find somebody who is worth it.

Been coming to Dr. Selmeczy since I moved to California 6.5 years ago. I picked him because he’s Hungarian, even though we do not actually chat in Hungarian for some reason. He’s a very nice guy, very soft spoken and takes time to explain things.
I ended up needing an implant… front tooth of all things… so you know it was VERY important it came out looking perfect. I worked with Dr. Selmeczy and another family recommended (forced upon) implant specialist. Even though Dr. Selmeczy could’ve probably done the entire process himself, my family was more confident if I went to a specialist. again, being a front tooth and all.
There were a few minor miscommunications between the 2 dentists, really just to do with dates as to what gets done what day. The issue was partly probably me because I just wanted the process to be faster and done with already. Plus I do have a job and I cannot always be working from home or taking sick days. So had to work out the logistics.
Otherwise the tooth came out looking excellent in the end, you cannot even tell I have an implant. The girl at Selmeczy’s that did the coloring of the tooth did a wonderful job, even my specialist ended up commenting on how great it looked.
It’s a year later and I’m happy with the results. I love the hygienist at this place, I see her very often and she’s just wonderful. Worth the drive to Livermore for me.

I always have a great time at Dr Selmeczy’s office. I leave feeling great and my smile looking even better than I feel.
I would recommend any of my friends/​family to go here, in fact if someone is looking for a dentist I always give them the information to this office.

I am one of those fearful patients. Making the call to be seen causes my blood pressure to rise and I get twitchy… but Dr S and his team are always kind, gentle and professional. They work very hard to make their patients comfortable and thanks to them, my smile is well taken care of.
Seriously, Dr S rules. Quit being a chicken and give them a call!

I’d been bad and hadn’t seen a dentist in ohhh… about 5 years, I thought for sure i had a cavity. He could have gouged me like so many other dentists my girlfriend has gone to, but no. No cavity, just a deep cleaning and a couple of xrays to make sure nothing is going to blow up.

No, I’m not a masochist… I just have the best dentist EVER! He’s so great that I travel 45 miles just to go see him.
If you’re lucky enough to live in the area, what are you waiting for? I know Livermore has a ton of dentists in town, but there’s only one Dr. Selmeczy.
I found out during my last visit that they are now doing Invisilign! The office always seems to be up on all the most recent dental technology and cosmetic dentistry.
