History

Established in 1991.

Dr. Thomas J. Marcel, DDS received his Doctorate Degree in Dentistry and Orthodontic specialty training at the University of California, San Francisco. Shortly thereafter, in 1991, he began his practice in Livermore, California. Contributing to the field of dentistry, he lectures for dental and orthodontic organizations throughout the United States and abroad, as well as maintains teaching affiliations at the University of California San Francisco, University of Pacific, and the University of North Carolina. He has also published several articles on temporomandibular joint function and mandibular movement. His many years of experience, contribution to the field, and wide range of educational achievements have made him an authority in orthodontics.

Dr. Claire Ogata Marcel, DDS achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and her Master’s Degree in Human Physiology from the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). To continue reading please visit our website.

Business Owner

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Tom Marcel did most of his growing up in San Jose. He attended Santa Clara University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences (biology, chemistry and physics). He went on to the University of California, San Francisco, where he received his dental degree and orthodontic specialty training.

Dr. Marcel has published articles relating to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function and mandibular movement in professional journals and lectures to orthodontic and dental organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad. He also maintains teaching affiliation with the University of California San Francisco, University of the Pacific and the University of North Carolina.

He is co-​founder and co-​coordinator of the Livermore Community Dental Care, a non-​profit organizations providing dental care and education to Livermore school children.
