At Levine Family Dental, we specialize in all phases of general dentistry. Drs. Jeffrey and Patricia Levine have had advanced training in complex dental procedures and 15 years of experience.

Our patients range in age from 3 years to 95 years old. For the patients that suffer from anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide and conscious sedation.

We comfortably and painlessly perform procedures such as tooth colored fillings and crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals, invisible braces and all phases of dental cleanings. We have very experienced, gentle and caring hygienists.

History

Established in 1982.

Drs. Jeffrey and Patricia Levine, 7 years ago, took over a well regarded and established dental practice in Livermore, CA. The practice has now been in the community for over 30 yrs and we delight in serving families of many generations. We have continued the tradition of caring for all of our patients as if they are an extension of our family.

There is a really great reason why going to visit Levine Family Dental makes you feel like you are part of the family. One of the best aspects of the practice is that Drs. Jeff and Patricia Levine are a great team both inside and outside of the practice. The doctors started their relationship in 1994 at SUNY Buffalo Dental School. They have shared their excitement and passion for dentistry ever since they graduated Cum Laude in 1998 from SUNY Buffalo, with a multitude of both academic and clinical accolades. After graduating from dental school, both Drs. gained acceptance to a highly coveted General Practice Residency at the Wadsworth VA hospital in Los Angeles. The residency sharpened their skills in complex restorative and multidisciplinary cases.

I have been coming to this office since I’ve had teeth. My most recent experience was great. No wait in the waiting room and when it was time for Dr. Levine to see me he was right in, again no wait. Excellent care, excellent service.

This place is wonderful. The dentists, hygienists, receptionists are all so kind and capable. I’ve had my gums mangled by incompetent teeth cleaners before, but the lady who does mine here is great– it barely hurts at all afterwards. I also love that they don’t try to force you to buy things like fluoride varnishes or oral cancer screenings. You get exactly what you ask for and I love that– to me, it creates a bond of trust and care.
The lobby is wonderful. There are magazines and stacks of children’s books, but they also have a Keurig coffee machine that the receptionist will help you use if you can’t figure it out (replete with all the K-​pods you could ask for), a little creamer/​sugar station, AND they just added a refrigerator so if you aren’t a coffee or tea person, you can have cold water (just in time for summer, too).
I love Levine Family Dental so much that when I switched insurance providers, I immediately called them to figure out if my new provider was compatible with them. It was (and they even helped me figure out what would be covered under my new provider, as well as helping to set things up). I was so happy. It’s so important to have a good dentist. I really couldn’t ask for anyone better!
The ONLY complaint I have is the parking lot, which I don’t think they can do anything about. You can’t make a left turn into it from East Avenue. You have to drive around the block (because there’s no left turns on the next cross-​street), come back around from the opposite direction, and then make a RIGHT TURN into the parking lot. It’s confusing, but luckily you can park in the residential zones around the area or in the parking garage (and then walk).

This is an update of my original review. I gave 4 stars to this business because Dr. Levine responded to my first review promptly and they have sent me new ledgers to clarify all previous mistakes. Now I do not have further questions. Well, the whole process lasted more than a month.
Again I want to say that the quality of dental works in his business is very good, nothing to complaint based on my own experiences. However, their software system needs an update and math skills of related staff need to be improved. That way the business will deserve five star level. Hope the inconvenience I experienced will not happen to other customers.

Dr. Levine and Dr. Vasquez took over from Glen Urban. I work with Dr. Levine. Over the years he has done excellent work on me. He waits and watches problem areas so that you aren’t surprised when the time comes for work. I am especially impressed with his use of technology. He was an early adopter of electronic records. X-​rays are placed directly into the record from the imager. He also seems to use the latest in dentistry techniques. My fillings are less obtrusive, feel better and last longer.
Finally, I recently had a dental emergency. He and Dr. Vasquez came in on their day off to spend an hour doing some dental reconstruction. If you can get them as dentists, I am sure you will be pleased.

I highly recommend Dr. Levine (and I’m a tough grader). He’s very knowledgeable about new materials and techniques, and seems to be very skillful at using them. Being an engineer, I like asking him what he’s doing, and he’s great about explaining what’s going on, how it works, etc. He takes great care to ensure my comfort while he’s working, and even heavier work is pretty easy to sit through. All the work he has done on my teeth has stood the test of time and use. The hygienists are also excellent, and seem to do a through and efficient job. And they all seem to have the «gentle touch» (those of you that have experienced the lack of it know what I mean). All-​in-​all, it’s a great practice. It’d be hard to do much better!

As one of the other reviewers mentioned, I was skeptical about how Dr. Levine would size up after going to Dr. Urban for many years. Once I get used to a dentist, I don’t like to change! However, Dr. Levine’s competence, knowledge and welcoming manner made the transfer easy. I like that Dr. Levine explains what he is going to do, takes time to answer any questions and asks after his patient’s comfort as he is working. I also like that the office has all the latest technology for dentistry. The staff in this office, including dental hygienists and person at the front desk, have always been welcoming and accommodating to patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Levine and his staff.

As good as it gets! is my sentiment exactly. I had suffered through 3 dentists (2 in Texas) trying to get a dental implant that would fit correctly in my mouth. When I met Dr. Levine he quickly analyzed the problem and worked closely with the lab to produce the correct piece. I have had absolutely no trouble with this tooth since he installed it. I simply can not recommend Dr. Levine and Dr. Vasquez enough they are both top notch dentists.

My family had been going to Dr. Urban for nearly 20 years. So when Dr. Urban retired we were skeptical that this young Dr. Levine would be as competent. However, we have found Dr. Levine and his staff not only to be very competent but also friendly to adults and kids. I highly recommend his practice!

This is a great dental office. The hygienists do a wonderful job with the cleanings and they are all very friendly. The dentists are great and have helped me with a few dental emergencies as well as routine visits. I love that they are trying to go paperless and have a state-​of-​the-​art computer system that keeps track of your visits and your teeth! It is very cool.

Dr. Levine and Dr. Vasquez took the helm once Dr. Glenn Urban retired a few years back. The transition was seamless. If you’re like me, once you find a dentist, you don’t want to let them go! However, Dr. Levine is wonderfully calm, personable and knowledgeable. All of the hygienists and support staff are fantastic. Scheduling is flexible. When life throws you a curve ball they work with you to reschedule on the fly.
You will feel like more than just a numbered patient here. Everyone always remembers our names, catches up on the latest and makes us feel like family. *
If you’re looking for a dental practice great for adults and kids Levine Family Dental is the place to go!
*Story to whit: at my daughter’s recent visit they made a big deal out of her xrays from last year to this in which she had 4 or 5 baby teeth visible last year and none visible this year. A big milestone which both her hygienist and Dr. Levine pointed out AND were kind enough to give me a copy for the memory book.
