We are glad we chose Abbey Carpet to re-​do most of the flooring in a rental home. We were especially pleased with the excellent customer service. It was apparent that the staff is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the flooring business, and Kurt was able to answer all of our questions about the project. We were also impressed with the very industrious and professional work crew who managed to remove most of the old flooring in a few hours one afternoon and nearly completed the installation of luxury vinyl plank flooring in 4 rooms plus hallways and carpeted 2 large rooms in one day. It all went very smoothly and the floors look great!

Absolutely nothing but the best!!! Levi and his crew did nothing but please us with the level of service and level of professionalism. My floors in my house turned out absolutely beautiful!!! I had a great experience with Abbey Carpet and would definitely use them again. I felt like I was well taken care of by Levi and the whole staff at the store. I was psyched to find the same carpet that I had used years ago as I had no desire to change the color, their quote was competitive, scheduling was on track and their work was impeccable! They even stretched a small section of carpet in a bedroom for a tiny extra and still beat their competitors quote! Levi was very attentive in his follow-​up and even wrote me a thank you note for the business!!! When do you ever get that! Love supporting family businesses like Abbey Carpets.

I was in a hurry to get new carpeting in the step down living room in our rental property. They had something in stock that looked way better than the average «renter’s carpet» and managed to squeeze me into their schedule. I was especially impressed with the «Hollywood Wrap» they did on the single stair step down. They could have done the quick and easy thing and wrapped the stair like a gift box because they knew it was a rental and I wasn’t being particular, but they put in the extra effort and it showed. The bottomline, the installation was terrific and the prices were competitive.

Wonderful customer service! I was not happy with the customer service I had received from another store, and decided to give Abbey carpet a try. Greg was very accommodating and brought in flooring I had previously purchased at that other store.
The installation was great, the guys came on time and cleaned up after.
Will get all my flooring from them!

We had new vinyl & luxury vinyl tile installed in our kitchen & T.V. room at the beginning of this month the customer service in the store was excellent & the work turned out beautiful. Greg & his team did a fantastic job from the removal of our old flooring through the installation of our new flooring.

Average carpet pricing with «gimmick» price discounts. If I had shopped around some more i probably could have done better.
Installation was OK but some furniture got a little dinged up.
After the good reviews about this place I feel I did not get what I was paying for.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Gary and the team at Abbey Carpet. I am a General contractor and have been in this field for many years, so I know a few things about flooring companies and installation. Abbey is a top notch operation. On our recent project at Espresso Rosetta in Livermore the owner selected Abbey Carpet to supply and install the main dining area floor. The installers did a beautiful job and were so helpful, literally exceeding my expectations to get the job done. The product is perfect and looks great also the layout suggestion’s from Gary were right on.

Abbey Carpets replaced our tile and carpeted floors with hardwood. The service was excellent from start to finish. Since this affected the entire floor, including the kitchen, I was concerned about the time and additional costs. The job took one week and they finished slightly ahead of schedule. I was extremely impressed with how thorough they were and how much care they took in moving and replacing our appliances — and covering the rooms to reduce dust. During the installation. one of our light bulb covers on our chandelier got singed. Not only did they work to replace it, and cover the cost, but Kurt went the extra mile searching out possible replacements, spending hours on the computer.
The job came in on budget and on time, and we couldn’t be happier.

Greg helped us pick out the best carpet for our needs, and he made sure the area rugs we had made were exactly the size we needed for our rooms.
Greg kept us informed of the status of our rugs and delivered them on time.

Greg has helped us for the last 20 years with flooring in our business in Pleasanton and our home. We just got new flooring for the kitchen and it loos amazing!
The installers are quick, professional and leave everything clean afterward!

Gary and the team did an amazing job in our living room replacing carpet with high end hardwood. Initially there was a pricing error but Gary went above and beyond to keep us as a customer. He even came to our hose to take final measurements and made few valuable advice on the edging/​molding part.
Installation crew did perfect installation in 1 day and Gary came onsite to check the progress of the work and make sure everything goes as planned.
This is family business and should we start new hardwood/​carpet project we will definitely go to Abbey floors in Livermore.

My husband and I are renovating the kitchen in our new (to us) house and knew we wanted to carry the same flooring from the rest of our house into the kitchen.
Lucky for us, we knew that our neighbor Greg had installed the existing flooring and he let us know that it came from his company Abbey Carpet. So once the renovation began we called the store, told Greg how much flooring our contractor advised us to buy and Voilà, we had our flooring the next day!
We are so grateful for the quick turnaround and great customer service!

I Contracted with Abbey Carpets here in Livermore recently for some new Karndean flooring.
The owner (Gary Wolfe) and his wife came out personally to review the work needed to be done and offer recommendations, both on the flooring itself, and on some other changes they thought would bring out the best in my home. Later in the week, I met with them back at the store, received a quote, settled on a pattern and negotiated a start date.
The quote included full demo of old flooring, new Granite tile at fireplace hearth (to better match flooring), lay underlayment and Karndean flooring, new baseboards, move all furniture etc… work started promptly.
They kept in contact throughout the process.
End result — exceptional. Gary runs a great business and has expert flooring men on hand to take care of the work. Everything was seamless and they made some great cuts on the baseboard. They also came up with a nice solution to covering a trap door I have in the closet to the underside of the sub-​floor (I’m on a raised foundation).
I’m a long time customer — and with the work they do, I expect to continue the business relationship for many years to come.

Personal service… this is the place to go!!! Bonus: They are locally owned. Hired for both home and rental floor replacement. They helped me find suitable choices (even saving me a few bucks since they had a remnant piece for one area that looked almost identical to the original carpet I picked out.) But what I loved the most was how Greg followed up when my project got delayed (solely due to me) and did so without being pushy. Super courteous and great follow through.
They moved furniture and appliances plus painted and installed new baseboards while they were at it. They did exactly as promised including the time it took to finish each job. Greg was even nice enough to patch a spot in my closet while they were there.
It’s refreshing to get such great service. It’s too bad someone Unilocaled the wrong store way back in 2007 and that one review is bringing down what should be totally 5 star reviews!

My boyfriend and I rent. We also have two cats. One is going through his «terrible two’s» and insists on waking me up at 4 – 5 every morning by pulling on the carpet. And I’ve noticed pieces of the carpet looking longer, or just falling out. Again, we are renting, and had a pretty high security deposit. After trying a few things to deter his early morning wake up calls and none of them working, we decided to try just laying normal carpet over our existing carpet.
I found Abbey Carpet on Unilocal.It’s right down the street from us and a local business. We gave them a shot. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by Greg. We told him our situation. We let him know carpet remnant was fine. He didn’t try to steer us toward more expensive carpet, huge plus in my book. We gave him the measurements we needed and he took us out back. We ended up with three different types of carpet which was fine because it’s going in different rooms/​hallway.
He only asked for $ 20 for about 90 square feet of remnant carpet. Only having to pay $ 20 to save our apartment’s carpet, and security deposit is a huge relief. But Greg’s kindness is really why I’m writing this review. He could’ve just told us that we had to buy new, whole roll carpet. But he chose to help us out. And as a young couple in our first apartment, that comes with much appreciation. I’ll be telling everyone to go to Abbey Carpet. And when we have a house of our own, we will come here.

I came in here today to see of I could get a small piece of scrap of carpet for the back of our SUV for the pups to lay on.
Of course, now I can’t remember the name of the girl who helped me, but she was awesome. Measured the carpet and helped me haul it to the car.
5 stars for awesome customer service, but can’t say anything about ordering carpet or install.

I went to Abbey Carpet this summer to replace my «crusty» carpet & find a solution for my concrete floor. I worked extensively with the store manager Levi to select the right products and colors for my home. Levi took the time to explain various options to me, installation procedures, and come to my home to further advise me in making the right choice.
I decided on a Karndean vinyl flooring product to cover the concrete because I needed something durable for kids and pets, and that would also not buckle if there happens to be any moisture seeping through the concrete floor. Levi loaned me samples to take home and see before I purchased. When the installation was complete, I was THRILLED! It looks fantastic, all my neighbors want the same thing, and most of my visitors can’t believe it isn’t real wood. The installation was very carefully done, which is why I went to a family run business instead of Lowe’s in the first place, after hearing horror stories of poorly installed products.
Satisfied with that job, I was completely at ease continuing with carpeting the second floor of my house through Abbey. Once again Levi was great in offering advice and carpet samples to help me with the decision making process. My house was not an easy install for carpet, lots of furniture to move and a whole wall of electronics and desks. Ben was the lead installer on this job, and I cannot find the seams! He did such a great job, it looks like one piece of carpet in 4 bedrooms and the hallway!
I definitely recommend Abbey Carpet, and will return there myself in the future.
