Fair price and excellent work. They installed wood laminate floors in our bedroom and new carpet in entire upstairs area. Their installers were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this company to anybody in the area.

Rob came out as promised to give me a quote on some hardwood floors. He showed up on time and a quote was provided in the time he promised. The job was scheduled and the floor crew arrived on time the day of the install. The main installer Estaban was knowledgeable and professional. In fact the crew showed up on time every morning when they said they would be there. The overall result is hardwood floors and baseboards look great. Thanks again

Came here to buy a unique rug and couldn’t decide from their fantastic inventory! The owner has fantastic rustic taste in furniture and home décor. I will definitely make frequent trips here in the future. The candles I bought at 50% off for a steal smell amazing!

My experience with Rob at first seemed fine. He came out, measured, we talked about possibilities. He said he would get back with some quotes. That was over a month ago. No call, no show. Maybe the job was too small, maybe he was just rushed with jobs for the holidays. Maybe he just blew us off. End result, as I said, no call, no show.

Our Five year new house needed over thousand square feet of new laminate downstairs when Our dishwasher leaked. Dealing with our insurance company and carpet one was wonderful! Carpet one came out, explained everything and were able to help me find the floor I was looking for. He gave me the best price possible and was very friendly! On a sidenote, the kids coloring table in the building is an awesome idea! My kids colored while we looked at floors

If I could give Carpet One of Livermore 6 stars I would!
First of all, Rob has done slate flooring in my parents house (it turned out so beautiful and my Mom absolutely LOVES it) They were so happy with Carpet One, that I figured this was the place to go!
Rob helped us find the right carpet for us, in our price range and made sure we’d be happy with it. They helped steer us in the direction of eco-​friendly carpet because that is important to me. They also helped us find carpet that would be good for the wear and tear that comes with having two cats as well.
We got a little over 1200 sq. feet of carpet done (two flights of stairs) in our house and it turned out beautifully! The carpet installers were VERY nice, friendly and never creepy (all the women out there know what I am talking about). I was very comfortable being there alone with them. They installed all the carpet in only 1.5 days! They also helped move the furniture and replaced it– they put our couch back in the wrong spot and they both helped me put it exactly where I wanted it before they left.
We’ve had our carpet for a month now and I’m still in awe at how amazing it is as if it’s only been a week!

This store has a great selection of rugs with reasonable price. The ladies here helped me picking out the rug nicely. We had little disagreement but it was taken care of properly, so I would say that I am happy with this purchase.

We just moved to Pleasanton. Before we moved in to the new-​to-​us house, we needed to fumigate for termites. Robb was fantastic and was able to meet me on very short notice so he could do the measurements before the house was tented up for 3 days. Then he was able to put the order in for the new carpet and we got it installed before the movers brought in all our furniture. It was fantastic that Robb was able to work with our timeline. If you need carpet — call Robb.

Snooty, unfriendly sales persons (both women whose names I don’t recall) and high prices turned me off to this flooring store. The associate who mostly worked with me couldn’t have been less interested in what I wanted. Instead of listening, she kept pointing out things that she thought would work for my project. Poor salesmanship! Listen to your customers!
I also seemed to garner less attention when I walked into the store in sweats. She started helping someone else mid visit. It was only after I came back the next day looking a bit more «upscale» that she gave me even the slightest bit of respect or attention.
They only get two stars because they do have some pretty choices for flooring.

Update: Carpet one has agreed to replace our floor with a different material. We are disappointed to hear that the manufacturer has stated their testing showed no problem with the product and have refused to cover the cost of this. I would also like to add that Robb and his wife Laurie (owners) have been nothing but the most professional through all of this. My husband and I feel badly that they have to cover the cost of this because the company who makes the product won’t. They are doing what they can to help turn this situation around for us and we appreciate it. Even though this has been a long process I would recommend them based on the fact that they are ultimately showing good customer service by attempting to fix this issue!

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart because we really liked the husband and wife owners who helped us and out of the three carpet companies we got a quote from, they weren’t the cheapest, but they seemed the most comfortable to work with. They let us bring home tons of samples and were very patient.
I want to say that our carpet is beautiful, but I picked it out and Carpet One had nothing to do with how it looks. I’m rating them two stars on all the things that come along with buying new carpet that in my opinion, were not done correctly or not done at all.
We purchased an expensive Frieze carpet and paid about 5K for 1400 square feet. We were NEVER advised our year old $ 500 Dyson vacuum would tear up the Frieze and be useless. It has no height settings and drags along and will eventually fray the carpet. It is honestly useless to me now, a complete waste of $ 500. I’ve purchased three different vacuums, all with height settings, and none of them are high enough to work on this carpet.
We were also NEVER told that the majority of our doors would need to be shaved down because the carpet is so high. The doors drag along the carpet fraying it each time when you open and close them. I haven’t even gotten an estimate on this and I’m not looking forward to losing hundreds more in paying for this service.
These are major issues that will bring upon considerable expense and should have been disclosed prior to purchase. Part of being a reputable and thorough business is informing the customers of all of their options and the pros and cons for each option given. We would NEVER have picked this carpet if these two simple facts were told to us prior to purchase.

We have used Carpet One for our own house in Livermore, as well as two rental properties in Brentwood and have always been more than happy with the products as well as the customer service. Robb, the owner, is very helpful and accommodating. He will help you pick out flooring (making suggestions and explaining features), come out to measure himself, and then makes sure the installation goes smoothly. Robb is conscientious, dependable and knowledgeable. Carpet One has a wide variety of flooring including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl and tile. The also have a wide range of prices, so whether you are looking for something inexpensive or top of the line they will have options for your budget. And they have a beautiful showroom!

I wanted to carpet my Living room but didn’t have a big budget, you can check their prices on their website which is very nice, and I saw there they had some very good sales going on. We went into the store to look at the products but unfortunately the sales staff did not have any idea which ones were on sale or not and thought that there were not any in stock for the price I saw online. We had to find it ourselves but once we did we were able to get several samples to take home. There were a few hiccups between ordering and delivery of the product, (I was using my own installer which is rare so it threw things off for them I guess) but in the end they fixed all the problems that came up to my satisfaction. Also I am very happy with the carpet, excellent quality.

Our laminate flooring got damaged when we had a water leak. We wanted to use a local business and saw that Carpet One was highly rated and local.
However, the owner Robb ended up being quite smarmy. He came right out when we called, which was good. However, when he examined our floors, he told us that «these were excellent laminate products, but unfortunately it looked like it was made by a company that went out of business a few years ago.» He said he’d have his guys come and and «take a sample piece to send to ‘the lab’ to test for certain.»
His guys did come out the next day, which was good. I asked them to cut an extra piece out for me, which they did — also a positive. We took this piece around and found our floor was actually the inexpensive, quite available basic product from Home Depot. There were rows of it at Home Depot. I called Robb and left him an annoyed message stating this.
Even so, we received a phone call from him a week later telling me that his «lab» had confirmed that our floors were from the company that was now out of business and he suggested we go through our insurance to replace all of the flooring throughout the house.
I told him we found it at Home Depot and wouldn’t need his services further.
What a disappointment! We really wanted to like this store.

I came into Carpet One because I recently bought a condo and needed new flooring. I had already been to the Home Depot, Lowe’s, and tried the other smaller flooring shops around town, but didn’t feel comfortable anywhere.
All that changed when I walked into Carpet One. Robb asked me a few questions to help narrow down my choices, and then gave me options and why he thought they would work. In the end, I decided on carpet in the main living areas, laminate in the kitchen and entryway, and linoleum in the bathroom. Robb was able to come to the home, get some measurements, and also bring samples and alternates for what we decided at the store.
The excellent service did not stop after I placed my down payment. Robb was sure to communicate with me during the entire process, from delivery to installation; he even followed up afterward to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.
Everything was completed seamlessly, and Carpet One delivered as promised. Prior to Carpet One, I spent at least three weeks going between other stores and shopping around comparing prices and services. Save yourself the time and hassle; just go directly to Robb and Laurie’s team at Carpet One.

We went to Carpet One for an estimate after a washing machine mishap destroyed a portion of our laminate floor. We ended up replacing the whole downstairs with a new wood floor. Their price was great and the installers did an amazing job. They did a wonderful job on the floor and all the little trim at cleanup details. The owner Rob was quick on the initial estimate and personally followed up to inspect the final product and make sure I was satisfied. Couldn’t be happier.

My hubby and I came upon Carpet One at an expo at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. We were in the market for new carpet and were definitely sold by Carpet One’s employees, prices and products.
Owner Robb DeSimone and his staff were so friendly and helpful. We fell in love with a certain type of carpet and they delivered.
Knowing we had cat urine problems thanks to the previous owners of our house, they informed us of a solution we should apply between tear-​out and install. So necessary and helpful!
