AutoZone

This morning I tested their posted 7:30 AM opening, not so. At 7:40 the person to open the store walked up outside and proceeded to smoke and drink his coffee and did not unlock the door. I waited a few more minutes and drove off. He then proceeded to go to the door and open it as I drove away. His competitor two blocks away got my business today because of poor service.

Great service. Fast delivery for our business. Dan is great. usually have everything we need in stock.

I had a wonderful experience at this AutoZone due to the hospitality of the sales associate Mitch, as well as his manager Kiley.
I had bought a solution to use on my car, I needed a simple funnel just to make things cleaner and avoid making a mess.
I found the perfect funnel, from what it looked like, it was only $ 0.99
When Mitch rang the item up, it read as $ 2.99
I suppose it was simply misplaced.
Mitch quickly gave me the option to talk to his manager for me to see if they would honor it. With in a few seconds the manager Kiley was present at the cashier price changing the funnel and honoring it.
They could have easily said «no,» but instead it was honored there and then with no questions asked.
Its employees like both Kiley and Mitch that make an experience at a typical shop that’s all over the map more personable and pleasant.

They had everything we needed, yeah. But costumer service was sooooo crappy. We were behind a guy in line for about 15 minutes while the costumer and the worker were discussing how the worker wanted wanted his number. He wrote his number on a receipt for her, then discussed how he had already given her the number once and how he hopes to hear from her this time. Soooo unprofessional and super trashy. Not one worker asked if we needed help, really annoyed.

I had the most amazing experience today. I normally have bad luck when it comes to car trouble, so this was pretty cool. My Battery light has been flickering on and off so I went to Auto Zone to get everything tested out. It was determined that my Alternator was going out. The guy who was helping me Told me he wanted to save me some money and tell me how to fix it myself. I told him «you don’t understand, I don’t even own a hammer and have no clue on what to do here even if you tell me» He told me if his boss was not here he would do it for me right there in the parking lot because it was only a 20 minute job to replace the Alternator. This car problem hit me at the worst possible time as we just had the twins birthday party and I have like no money for any of this… (of coarse)… So I went in to pay for the part still not knowing who was going to help me install the alternator. So the person helping me (his name was Tim, he had to be a good guy right?) Says F it, I’m going to put this Alternator in for you right here in the parking lot! I was shocked! So he proceeded to install this part for me FREE of charge risking his job im sure. 30 minutes later everything was done and I drove away with a new Alternator installed for 114 dollars. a mechanic would have charged over 300 for parts and Labor. The moral of this story is there ARE good people left in this world! Friends are always going to help friends, but this guy Tim didn’t know me from Tom, Dick, or Harry! He totally went out of his way. When he was done he was covered in Grease, It was 95 degrees outside, and Just worked very hard and fast to get this done. If anyone lives in Livermore and needs a car part, Support your local Auto Zone because I have never seen customer service like this before anywhere. I told him I would write a review on Unilocal and Facebook and tell everyone I know about my experience. Thank you Tim at Auto Zone! Feeling Blessed tonight!

Thank you so much to Aaryn C. He was such a huge help! I had a broken light bulb and it was way harder to put on then most because I was in an accident and it sealed everything together… He spent a good 30 minutes helping us out so we wouldn’t get pulled over again for no headlights. WOOH!

There is a fair amount of competition in this field and this store used to be Grand Auto. I liked it better when they had a garage with it — I used to get alignments there and the service was cheap and adequate. The store is newer and cleaner than Grand Auto used to be, but I think Grand had a better selection. I’m giving them three stars because they might have what you want, but then again they might not.
There are a variety of other stores nearby that I usually am hitting — Orchard Supply, Trader Joe’s, Rite-​Aid, etc. They fit the bill for a local car parts place and are quite handy to have near by. If I were to be in the neighborhood, I’d be slightly more likely to go to O’reilly than the newer AutoZone. I consider them about equal though, and have found some more interesting stuff here. Neither one distinguishes themselves in my mind, but that is the trend in brick and mortar stores. Nobody carries the off the wall stuff anymore. A sign of the times — lean out your inventory and sell what moves.
None of this reflects badly upon the store or the employees. They don’t pick their inventory.

The employees here spend most of their time on the Phone in the Back…
Just not real helpful most of the time.
I always feel like I have to tell them which part I need instead of getting experienced advice. I go to Napa for that but Napa isn’t open on Sunday and I usually put off my Saturday repair plans until Sunday…
It’s not a parts store to go to if you need something that doesn’t just pop into the dash…

Hello. I was just in the AutoZone located in LIvermore Ca yesterday evening. After the service I received I had to sit down and write something.
As someone who is in the auto maintenance business, and a manager, I was shocked that I had to put up with such rude and nearly insulting behavior. The salesperson who «helped» me was awful, and again, as I work with cars it’s not as though I needed a lot of hand holding.
As a manager I can say with perfect confidence that if any of my employees treated a customer the way I was treated, they would certainly receive a write up… and very possibly be terminated.
Do yourself a favor and go to Kragen. It’s only a block away.

I spoke to Natalie regarding an alternator. She was extremely helpful and kind. She gave me lots of info on their refurbished/​rebuilt alternators and the lifetime warranty; which ended up saving me about $ 300.
I would definitely recommend this Auto Zone and speaking with Natalie.

Was in the neighborhood. It was great timing too, one of my headlamps went out. And had to stop by to get a replacement before I get pulled over for a fix-​it ticket. You know how them damn cops are!!!
Went it, got my stuff and left. Quick in and out.
Now just got to install it myself. That’s where I get down and dirty!!! Hee Hee!
