After servicing our house monthly for rats, all Craig did was put two traps in the crawl space in the front of the house. Inevitably, he would catch one or two.
He never, ever looked at the property to determine where the entrance points where. We had him over a year.
If you have an insect problem, I think Around the Bay is fine, however, if you have a rodent problem, there are other more capable companies out there. To be fair, Craig is very tall so going into attics or crawl spaces would not be too comfortable for him. He should hire a short person if he wants to do a job right.
Seal up entry points. Set out traps. Then check again for rodents and check again for entry points that are new or may have been missed.

Ants! We have ants in Castro Valley. Or rather, had ants thanks to the prompt, efficient service from Around the Bay. Busy time of year, but they fit a visit into our schedule. Found the colony, and «took care» of it. Also explained which of our bushes harbors the ants (time to get rid of that bush!) and what routes they were taking to get into the house. Craig at Around the Bay Pest Control has served two of my homes in Castro Valley for over ten years. We have had ants and mice. He has always been timely and if he needs a repeat service, he comes back. He doesn’t just bait but figures out, usually, where the varmits are coming from so he can get to the source. My tenants had a cockroach situation so I contacted Around the Bay Pest Control.
The guy was very nice and scheduled to come out a 2 – 3 days later although I was hoping for sooner. Anyhow… he said that he guaranteed his service. Over $ 200 and 30 days later the cockroaches were back. He came out since he guaranteed his service for 60 days and after 60 days later they were back. My tenants said he was there for such a short while and barely did anything… I guess he used some stuff that they sell at Home Depot or Lowes… I was going to call him back and my tenants refused saying it was a waste of time and money… I think they only guarantee for 60 days because they are meant to come back after that time and he doesn’t want to be held responsible. Feel cheated because I really thought he could get rid of them…

Craig has been serving our house for 5 years now. We never have any problems or issues with bugs. We used to us a chain service but he’s so much more reasonably priced and you always know it’ll be Craig that comes to service your home. Highly recommended!
