Aqua Hero Pool & Spa Service

Avoid David and his company. Firstly, he is almost twice the price of three other pool companies we polled. Secondly, he sends inflated invoices with no itemization and increases the charges month over month. It took him three weeks to respond when asked multiple times for itemization and when he responded he just resent the non itemized bill. We had a $ 80 dollar service morph into $ 110 per month, despite $ 80 being verbally agreed. We had a phantom $ 300 charge show up after two months, which I paid and still was never given a proper invoice. We paid $ 500 for a pool cleaner he sold us which constantly stopped when it hit our pool filter as it needed to be removed and replaced. We did this on our own dime again. When I confronted him about his magically inflating pricing and billing practices he told me he covers mostly homes in Danville and Alamo and they love him. Then he said the many other companies in Livermore that are considerably cheaper don’t have «business experience» or licenses to operate? (Uh, wrong) Thirdly, I noticed the pool was never as clear or clean as using Prestige pool services, as we do now, for $ 69 per month. I was home when the «Aqua Cut-​Corner» staff came and saw they spend less than five minutes hurriedly putting in chemicals. The corners, stairs and sides were full of dirt and algae. The pool baskets were full of leaves and bugs. The water was cloudy. He told my husband via email during the sign up process that they keep the pool crystal clear, empty the baskets and sweep the pool, however, when I asked him about why his guys failed to do this for the length of the services he actually said it wasn’t included and that I was lucky he had ever brushed the pool down, signing off his email with «peace». Lastly, he had the nerve to continue to send invoices for months after, which were paid. Several times I sent him proof from my bank and he said he didn’t believe it (what the) and insisted on a copy of the actual check! unbelievable. If I had more time I would fight him in small claims for the $ 1500, but I cancelled, paid and moved on with my life. Karma will take care of David and his «business» practices — A clean pool should not be this hard. Look elsewhere — there are many honest, hardworking people who can help maintain your pool. «Peace»

WOW! I had to stop what I was doing on Memorial Day to write this review! My husband and I have lived in our home for seven years, and have been through a couple pool companies and «guys with a truck,» and our pool has never been more beautiful! I feel like I am swimming in cool crystal island waters! Amazing! David, the owner, is so professional, conscientious, and nice. I was so frustrated with poor and over-​priced service; David not only turned our old little pool into an oasis, but he also saved us almost $ 50 a month! Thank you Aqua Hero! We are so happy! You rock!

I just finished splashing around in 20 000 perfectly clear gallons of California’s most precious natural resource with my son, made possible by Aqua Hero. A month ago, the pool was primordial ooze, and a lightning strike would have spontaneously created millions of new proteins, reigniting the incredible process of evolution that culminated in, well, me. I was seriously considering filling in the pool, because I had become convinced that the antiquated equipment couldn’t possibly serve to keep the pool clean any more. Aqua Hero was my last ditch attempt, and they have proved me wrong. In addition to the water treatments which killed off whatever nastiness was growing there, they also replaced our filter, which was only ¼ of the appropriate size for our pool. I thought I’d have to spend a lot to replace everything, but they were able to do just this one part, and it made a huge difference. They kept asking how the pool was doing, and kept coming back with more treatment when necessary. They didn’t just treat and run. I feel confident I can maintain it from here.

Aqua Hero is the best pool service we’ve used! Dave Goulart is always so easy going and accommodating, yet incredibly professional. We are a bit of challenge in that our pit bull looks intimidating and likes to bark at anyone who comes into the backyard. Dave and his employees are extremely reliable; they are always here the same day/​time each week, which makes it easy to plan for our dog to be in the house when they are here. Over the years, we’ve had issues with our pump and pool sweep and Dave has always been here the same day to fix it. Thanks for the great service the last 5 years, Aqua Hero!

Aqua Hero is the best! Dave is very knowledgeable on all things pools and spas. I was having an issue with my spa chemicals and Dave fixed me up in no time. I had talked with several other pool and spa stores, service centers and people and nobody but Aqua Hero listed to me and understood my problem. A+

Aqua Hero is great! I hadn’t run the filter properly and my pool was a brown, sludgy mess. I was afraid it would have to be drained and refilled, not a good thing during this drought. I called Dave and he came over the same day and took care of it. Within hours the pool was looking cleaner and within two days it was clean, clear and the chemical levels normal. I now have them set up to come out weekly and keep the pool in shape.
