We were ¾ through construction of a new home and had terrible problems with the HVAC contractor. We replaced them with Advent and they not only got our project back on track but they made huge catches including the fact the original company registered our equipment as commercial reducing the warranty from 10 years to 1 year. They worked with their contacts at the manufacturer to get this straightened out and stayed with it until it was complete.
I highly recommend Advent Air Conditioning.

Advent was referred to us by a friend and we’re very pleased by the service we’ve received so far. Steve, our tech, was very professional and installed float switches and surge protectors and provided some very practical, helpful maintenance advice. He’s an asset to the company. We haven’t used our service contract yet otherwise we’d give them a five star rating.

Our 16 year old AC condensing unit finally gave-​out on a hot Texas morning, and our home’s temperature was rapidly rising with a 14 month old in the house (reaching 95 degrees in certain rooms).
I had the joy of trying to deal with it through AHS (what I will now refer to as American Horse S***). The AHS contractor validated that our R22 compressor had blown out and offerred to replace our condensing unit with a new cheapo 14-​SEER R410 condensing unit with a one year warranty for about 5-​grand.
We politely declined.
I reached out to a few friends and received a recommendation for Advent. Advent dispatched Jeff who showed up the same afternoon, and I explained our situation/​urgency given the situation with a baby at the house. The quality of service was exceptional and Jeff went the extra mile to get us situated including scrambling to find a random part that was necessary to retrofit our existing evaporator coil to work with the new system in order to prevent us from going into the weekend without cooling.
We opted for a 16-​SEER brand name setup which was installed THE SAME DAY and about 30% LESS than the crappy AHS contractor’s 14 SEER garbage unit.
Jeff also took the time to give us a good gauge of practical improvements which we could make to the system in the months/​years ahead – some as simple as additional insulation in a couple of hot spots. Most of these improvements would not benefit Advent but ultimately save us some money.
The next morning, I noticed that the new unit wasn’t functioning as I hoped for, so we called Advent back. Once again, they show up the same day and their very courteous HVAC technician found that our return air plenum had a very significant air leak which was blowing cold air into our attic as opposed to the house. He corrected the issue by sealing up the box and gave me an invoice for $ 0. And of course, this fixed the problem. I might add that they didn’t have to do this, as the box was not touched during the condensing unit install. This was our problem because of a maintenance issue which was overlooked by me.
It is rare to find an honest HVAC company these days, but I feel confident that Advent is a rare jewel in a very shady industry.

They installed our AC in the new house. 10 service calls the first 2 years. The only thing they wanted to do was get past the warranty so they could quit coming out. These guys are cheaters, liars, and scammers.

Praimesh and Amy were polite, professional and, most importantly, honest. Advent fixed my «no AC» problem within hours for around $ 200 after a widely-​advertised competitor tried to sell me an expensive new motor and control board that were not even broken. Praimesh knew right away the scam the competitor runs (60% of that competitor’s Unilocal reviews are 1-​star). Thank you for being skilled and honest in a field where those characteristics are often not found.

We purchased their maintenance package. I called to have the AC checked and filters changed in March. They couldn’t come until April 6. They gave me a window of 12 – 2. They didn’t show up until a few minutes after 5. I called them 4 times to get an ETA — just kept telling me I was next. Terrible communication with customers. The two techs they sent out were nice and completed their tasks around 7PM

As I expected their version misconstrued the Facts, I did clean up the drain. after your Tech came in and told what he could not do it. the original floor that the other unit had damaged had been replaced
once your company had installed the air condittioner and failed to find the Core problem to the system, Aint that what the A/​C company supposed to do rather than just replace?
what she is failing to note is that the compressor was replaced withing two months and the tech that they send under filled the system causing this system to freeze and create more create more water p[roblems. Then they send their Rep to assess the situation and claim to send a VIP company to fix the errors they had made.
Only to find that their VIP company had no idea what they had to fix. Came in ask me what they had to do and then closed the A/​C vent. just after my complaints they sendt the guy down to undue everything he had done what left the space looking worse than what it originally looked.
You madam may sugar coat all you like this COMPLETE screw up, but the average homeowne call a Specialist to tell them what the core issue may be and not jusat to come in half A… a repair and then claim that it was the homeowners fault. when they call they want nothing but the best. unfortunally in my case I DID NOT GET THAT.

Advent has been servicing our home for 20 years. They put the original equipment in our home. We have been so pleased with their service. Most recently, they performed miracles at our home. My children were coming to town and two days before their arrival the air went out upstairs where my children sleep. Advent came out to assess the problem immediately, and got a new unit in place and working in time for my children’s arrival. I sing praises to Jeff, Miguel and his assistant. This company does what it takes to totally take care of its customers. Thank you a million.

I had the absolute worst service possible from this company.
My coil was leaking, so decided to purchase a new one and get it installed by Advent Air. The technician shows up and tells me the coil is not the problem, and that a valve was to blame. He replaced the valve and added coolant.
A few months later the A/​C unit is, again, not working properly. The same technician that replaced the valve shows up. He finds a «bent valve» on the condenser and condemns it. He says he cannot do anything to fix the issue, and that everything else looked fine. My only option was to purchase a new condenser.
I called another company for a second opinion. They found that the coolant level was actually low and found a leak in the coil. They added coolant and the system started working great.
I spoke with Jason, one of the managers at Advent, about my service. Not only did he take MONTHS to respond to me, even though I sent a weekly reminder that my issue was never responded to, but he never acknowledged that his technician did anything wrong. The best he could do was to refund the cost of the second service call. Really? That was the BEST you could do?
I did some research on my own, found that my coil was notorious for leaking, and was actually under recall. I was able to have the entire coil replaced for free! Why didn’t Advent ever offer this for me, or even advise me about the recall?
There is no way I could recommend this company to anyone. They did not fix the original problem, they did not back their work, they do not respond to complaints, and the technician obviously tried to scam me out of money for his own commission.

Excellent service! My a/​c went out right after I bought the house in early Sept. The home warranty company said they could call someone the next day. Advent came out that evening and fixed it. Reasonable price.

We’ve been using Advent for our routine maintenance since we moved into our house about 4 years ago. As it came closer to time to replace our system, we got a few estimates (all ended up within a reasonable price range) and decided to go with the known company.
It seems like they did a good job (hard to tell how well the AC really works until later in the year) but they finished the job sooner than originally estimated, cleaned up well when they were done, and sent another person to follow-​up the day after the install was complete.
