New Tek Auto Repair and Tires

First of all the business name is New TEK Auto Repair and Tires, not Tech. TEK is what is painted on the building, business cards, and invoices when I go to 7407 Broadway, LG. I told Unilocal about TEK is the name, not Tech, but 3 years ago there were reviews under TEK. TEK and the reviews disappeared from Unilocal,but those reviews were how I came to have New Tek be my mechanic. Unilocal now changed the name it comes up on Unilocal to the correct TEK, so people can now find this business’ reviews.
I live in Scottsdale, Arizona, but have a second home in La Jolla. I have an old 1995 Corolla Wagon and Eddy is my go-​to mechanic here in San Diego. I found Eddy on Craigslist when someone told me to find cheap mechanics in Lemon Grove, La Mesa. I know Vietnamese-​owned business can be cheaper than Mexican-​owned ones, so when I saw Eddy was Vietnamese, and I saw previous 5 star Unilocal reviews, I drove all the way there, 20+ miles.
When I need Eddy, I need him RIGHT AWAY, as I do not have a ride or second car to use. Eddy is always there for me and Eddy squeezes me in that day, and his mechanic gets my car done in 1 – 2 hours. Eddy buys his parts from wholesaler, not a chain open to public. So, he lets me buy my own parts if it is an issue because if something goes wrong with a part Eddy bought, I cannot drive 430 miles from Scottsdale AZ for Eddy to do remedial work. So I buy from CarQuest or Napa (NOT Autozone or O’Reilly junk, I learned my lesson now) and Eddy installs for the most reasonable labor price that is not from mobile mechanic. Eddy has gotten me a new radiator, also wheel bearings, starter.
I am a single senior citizen woman, and I can trust Eddy to tell me the truth, do what is needed RIGHT, and not charge me for unnecessary repairs to pad my bill, and not «take womens’ purses for a ride». I know a lot about cars since I always had old ones, and do my own simple stuff like changing plugs, distributor cap, wires, rotors, air and fuel filter.

This is where I go for automotive services. Eddy and crew does good honest work. They’ve done smog check, oil change, tire replacement, head gasket replacement and A/​C related issue for me, all in a timely and reasonably priced manner. Eddy treats you like family. I naturally distrust auto mechanics due to years of witnessing dishonest work. I trust these guys because they are competent and plain good human beings. I don’t like having car trouble but when I do, I am glad I have a great mechanic to go to. You’d be hard press to find anyone that claims these guys do shoddy or dishonest work.
