Scandinavian Escape Bed and Breakfast is a a cozy log retreat nestled against a forested hillside, overlooking the grandeur of the Enchantments. Literally, your cares will melt away as you totally relax in peaceful seclusion. An endless supply of freshly ground coffee is available in the library one hour before your breakfast arrives. Chef Vern prepares a gourmet breakfast each morning which is delivered to your door for enjoyment in the privacy of your own room.

History

Established in 2000.

Our log home, rich in Scandinavian décor, was the happy dwelling for our family during the twenty years we raised our children. Today, we have chosen to share our home, it’s magnificent views, and peaceful location. For the enjoyment of our guests, we have addd three beautiful guestrooms, with private entrances and decks; an outdoor spa; many outdoor sitting areas; and a swimming pool. We invite you to share what we have been blessed to enjoy.

Linny and Vern J.

Business Owner

Vern is an artistic, creative craftsman who has designed and built the entire area you will be enjoying. Literally, there isn’t anything Vern can’t do! He is a gourmet cook who will delight your palette and eyes with his breakfasts. In his spare time he cycles; hikes; races cars; flies airplanes and spends time with his 5 grandchildren.

Linny is an outgoing, friendly lady who loves people and will instantly make you feel right at home! She has traded her teaching career for her life as a full time innkeeper. It is her sense of color and style that fills their inn with warmth. When she is not inn-​keeping, she speed walks, hikes in the mountains; skis; and enjoys her 5 beautiful grandchildren and their amazing parents.

Together, Vern and Linny thrive on creating fresh, esthetically pleasing spaces for their guests to enjoy. They happily work together on a seemingly enless list of new ideas.
