History

Established in 2009.

Located near Fort Sill, the Sleep Inn & Suites — Lawton was opened in the spring or 2009 and updated in 2015. We have 57 Rooms and Suites, and offer a full hot breakfast buffet, daily from 6am — 10am, Tuesday through Saturday we have a create your own omelet bar. We offer our guest appreciation snacks Monday through Thursday from 4pm — 7pm, a little food a little drink and some great conversation with our other guests. The 421 Lounge is located off the lobby and is open 24 hours. This adult and kid friendly area was created as a third space for families to come and relax and spend time with each other. The lounge offers a wide variety of snack and drinks, including beer and wine coolers. Fresh made deli sandwiches, salads and some frozen treats. There are 6 large screens in the room to catch a movie or TV show. If you do not drive; that’s ok we have a shuttle van that will drive you to restaurants, shopping, Fort Sill and the casinos. Heated pool and fitness center.

I have lived in Lawton for going on three years. A fantastic place to live and visit. A special day is a drive to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, voted the best refuge in the Country for 2015. The refuge is home to herds of Bison, deer and elk, there are several prairie dog colonies. A great day trip to hike or take a bicycle or motorcycle tour.

Stayed here last December and have been meaning to write a review. I was in Oklahoma by myself in the middle of nowhere for my boyfriends Fort Sill graduation. The staff was awesome, the shuttle picked me up and took me where I needed to get (nice old man). My flight got cancelled so I ended up having to stay over again and they were more than accommodating. And the breakfast was awesome-actual food! To be honest it was the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had (I know right) !

Certainly the reviews are accurate on the exceptional service and rate you receive at this choice hotel. I usually stay at higher chain hotels due to loyalty program and this is my first visit to a choice hotel and I’d must say after the incredible impression by this Sleep Inn & Suites in Lawton, I will consider staying at this one or any other one in the future. The rooms are specious, very elegant bathroom, spacious mini bar fridge to stock up the beers and excellent A/C unit with comfortable and soft beds made for an excellent nights rest! The breakfast options were plentiful offering eggs, sausage, bacon, strawberry/reg make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal and even fresh fruit from strawberries to grapes to apples! Excellent food, rooms and service Lawton’s Sleep Inn & Suites, certainly the BEST IN LAWTON!

This place was GREAT! We stayed here while visiting to see daughter graduate from Fort Sill; very close in proximity. Upon arriving in the lobby I let out a sigh of relief — looked and smelled VERY clean. Front desk staff members were friendly and helpful. Room was modern and very nice and clean, well maintained. Carpets appeared to be relatively new, bed very comfortable, and air conditioner worked beautifully. Room came with individual coffee pot, microwave, fridge, and blow dryer. Full breakfast in morning included eggs, waffles, bacon, potatoes, pastries, juices, yogurt, etc. Mall, restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a disaster. We stayed here while visiting my brother at Fort Sill. We arrived around 8 pm and immediately was greeted with a rude young woman with a name tag on that read Ty-Kiera. She was short with us, rude, and very unfriendly.
We got to our room and unpacked. Shower time. The bathroom was pretty filthy with stains and hairs on the toilet. The water pressure sucked and the shower head could use replacing. We then went to bed in a bed that was decently comfortable but the blankets were very thin and stiff. The pillows were separated and not fluffy at all.
The next morning we went downstairs for breakfast. This was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. Everything was obviously cooked in a microwave. The sausage and bacon were not good, the potatoes were cold and mushy, the eggs were watery and the gravy was super thick and cold. Nasty.
We left for the day and returned around 3 pm. We saw signs hanging up stating there was going to be a BBQ social from 4 – 7 with burgers, hot dogs, lemonade and tea. We decided why not try it out! We came down at 4:30. There were about 5 burgers and 20 hot dogs in the warming trays. We each grabbed a burger, as did the guests behind us. The burgers ran out immediately and the lady went out to cook more on the grill. We ate our burger and then got a bun ready for a fresh one when they came in. Well, they never came in. There were about 10 guests waiting for burgers. We all noticed that about 5 staff members were going to the buns, getting buns, then going outside to the grill and eating amongst themselves. We sat there until 5:30 and no burgers made their way inside. We also experienced our second very rude encounter with Ty-Kiera. An elderly gentleman asked her to grab him a napkin and she rolled her eyes, grabbed a napkin all while saying «fire me now» and «today’s the day» under her breath. Are you kidding me? She should be fired, she has absolutely no business working in a customer service position. This «BBQ social» killed the last chance for a two star rating.
Overall, the pool was warm and dirty, the room was dirty and the staff were mostly cold and unfriendly. If I ever go to the Lawton area again, I’ll pay the extra money and stay in a reputable hotel.

My wife and I just spent 3 nights and we loved it. The staff where great, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, very clean and stayed cool even though it was 100 degrees or more outside. The king size bed was so comfortable. The continental the average foods but was good. Excellent location to any where

I stayed here for one week last April when my boyfriend graduated from BCT at Fort Sill. I loved my stay here! I highly recommend it to those who are also in town for graduation; it was inexpensive, clean and well-maintained, and the staff is so incredibly kind and welcoming. The continental breakfast was like a mini buffet: fruit, juice, milk, cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy. My room was very spacious for the two of us staying there. It is also a short, easy drive to Fort Sill, but if you have any questions like I did during my first trip, the gals at the front desk are very helpful. They also have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! If I’m ever in Lawton again, this will be the hotel I book.

The first room they put us in smelled so bad that I waited 45 minutes (to see if it would dissipate) and then asked to be switched to a new room. I shouldn’t have done that because I had a headache for the rest of the evening. It smelled like disinfectant and bug spray at the same time. The new room smelled markedly better, but still had a strong smell that I couldn’t relax in. There was a giant stain outside the door to our room and another one at the foot of the bed. I couldn’t help but wonder what it was and if the spray was there to cover the smell of the stains.
There was a laundry machine on our floor and the front desk lady made change for us to we could use it which was a plus. As another reviewer mentioned, they also had some kind of dinner/social where they provided food, but I had dinner plans. It was a nice gesture, but I really wished the room was in better condition. We switched to another hotel and were much more comfortable for the remainder of the trip. Try: Holiday Inn (best), or Marriott Fairfield Inn and suites (better). Both offered rooms at $ 10 or $ 20 more a night.

We stayed here for three nights, and we have a few complaints. The walls are too thin, so we heard everything our neighbors had to say on either side. The bed covers were thin and the spread kept sliding off during the night. The towels were likewise thin, and the coffee was especially thin. In fairness, this is not an expensive hotel, and it was clean and well maintained. Plus it has free wi-fi. But if I had to visit Lawton again, I’d try one of the bigger chains, and spend a little more.
