Homewood Suites by Hilton Lawton, OK

I booked this hotel because it was rated as the best in Lawton. I had not spent a real day with my wife on her birthday in years so I chose here. I booked the one bedroom king suite. The kitchen area was dirty and the dishes in the dishwasher were still dirty looking even though the sign said clean. The bed was not the best either. The breakfast was on par with about any other free breakfast.
They do have a basketball court which we played on. And they do have complimentary dinners Monday through Thursday.
Overall, it was average. Definitely not the best in Lawton.

This is our first time at this hotel and right now my opinion is that we will not return to it and probably not this brand. We are and have been a Hilton Gold member or higher for years and this ranks at the bottom of the properties we have stayed at thus far. We checked in last evening and this morning went down for the «free» hot breakfast at 9:15 am, it is open till 9:30 am, I looked at the hot choices and in one tray there were three TatorTots and in the other some sausage gravy but the biscuits and chicken were gone. The cook just said I’m sorry we’re out. I then looked at the Belgium Waffle machine and there was only enough to make one waffle, which I made for Mary. I then looked at other options and saw English Muffins and decided to toast one and put the sausage gravy on it, but by the time the muffin was toasted and I went to put the the gravy on it, the gravy had been removed from the line. So I ended up with strawberry jelly on the muffin; and they weren’t Thomas’s Muffins either.
We left the hotel around 11:00 am to visit with Thad and Fort Sill. When we returned four and a half hours later we noticed our room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk to see if housekeeping was still working and was informed that they had left for the day. I told the person that the room had not been cleaned and she looked up the record and it stated that there was a do not disturb sign on the door. I informed her that the sign was taken off before we left and that housekeeping was around the corner from our room when we left. She asked what we needed and I said at least towel service. She then had towels brought to our room. A few minutes later she called a informed me that the housekeeping supervisor would not be in until Monday but she left a report of what happened and that she had the charge for last night’s room was credited back to me.
I appreciate her responses and I hope that actions are taken to correct both situations or they will not stay in business long as they are many other alternatives in the immediate area.

Gloria & Tony were SO nice ! They beds were extremely comfortable — I didn’t want to get up. It’s easy to get to, clean, and has an inviting appearance inside & out. I had a great time sitting outside talking with my co-​workers near the pool area.

Great hotel! The staff, especially Yvonne, went above and beyond from the second we checked in. She moved rooms around so we could be near our friends & offered up special parking for our bikes without us asking, gave us great suggestions on where to eat/​ride and when checking out they were having printing problems so she took care of the snacks we had charged to the room. We will be staying here again and recommending them to anyone visiting Lawton.

Awful, awful place. Homewood Suites should not lend their name to this property.
I’m currently corresponding with corporate about all the negative experiences within our 5-​day stay.
Just save yourself a big hassle and stay elsewhere. In fact, if it’s Fort Sill you’re there for, the Hilton Garden Inn is a much more convenient location. I certainly hope it’s a better property, as well.

We rented the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. It was spacious and beautiful. There were just 3 of staying but it could have easily slept at least 7 people. The master bedroom had a king and the other bedroom had 2 full size beds and the sofa in the living room was a pull out sleeper. Flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and another in the living room. It really is a home away from home. You get a full size refrigerator, microwave and stove stop. Nice breakfast buffet and with the exception of one, unsmiling and unfriendly clerk with long dark hair at the front desk, they have a very friendly staff. I would recommend Homewood Suites and I would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home — I totally enjoyed our suite — especially as we waited to move into our new place! Lovely lobby, comfy beds and towels, unique red and green color scheme but not Christmas like at all, warm breakfast and the option of a free dinner during the weekday is huge to staying in and working the budget while we are waiting for our moving truck to arrive. Housekeeping and staff are polite, nice and if you talk to them they are more than willing to accommodate with extra towels, lotions or changing bedding. The crew is fairly young but throughout these four days have been wonderful to deal with and be around.
There is a girl with a puzzle tattoo who works during breakfast who makes my husband and I feel so special! She’s like sunshine in a cup — warm, kind, professional and she always greets us with a smile!
I really wish they had extended stay options because I would try to talk my husband into us moving in but alas the budget dictates only a visit.
If you are thinking about staying — stay here and reserve your room online. There are special options and military as well as AAA rates… In my experience (which may be worth nothing) I get lower rates the closer to the day of check in.

Best Homewood Suites we’ve stayed in. Nice new, clean room. Well stocked kitchenette. Friendly front desk staff. Bath and Body Works toiletries. Lawton seems to be a rough town but the hotel was very comfortable. Only stayed 2 nights so can’t speak to housekeeping services but our room was clean. No complaints.

We stayed for 4 nights and have had one visit from housekeeping. Not particularly happy with that. Dead crickets in the hallway every single day, hair in the shower, very dirty carpets (our feet are gray after a few minutes!) and pool filtration turned off are our complaints.
Desk staff, meal attendants and housekeepers were all very friendly and helpful when asked.
I would stay here again but would not want to pay full price!

We stayed there last night and were sadly disappointed with all the things that were wrong with our room. The kitchen sink was unusable as the garbage disposal was unhooked and sitting on the bottom of the cabinet. In our bedroom we had a really nice mount for flat screen TV, however no TV. The bedding for the hideaway bed was wet so we took it down to the front desk and commented about these issues. The person at the front desk advised us to get corporate Hiltons attention as this might be the only way to get things changed at this location. I let it be known that I would post pictures on facebook as well as on Unilocal.I have yet to hear anything back from management at this time. I highly doubt I would ever stay at this location again.

I reserved a room, gave them a credit card and was told that my reservation was made. Upon arrival, Jennifer Morales, the assistant manager, rudely informed me that I had been moved to the Hampton Inn but that the night was being paid for and I should be satisfied. I wasn’t. I was traveling on business with a colleague and we needed to get work done. I had stayed at the Hampton in Lawton previously and found it substandard: old hotel, bad matress, smelly bedspread (BO) and the free night meant nothing to me because I wasn’t paying for the room. Multiple attempts to speak with the manager were fruitless until I found out that he lied to corporate and told them he tried to contact me. I called the hotel and told them the lie had been exposed and he called me within 5 minutes. At that point, I wanted to talk to his manager. In the interim, I found out that my colleague gave the hotel a bad review and that this manager emailed him to chastize him for writing a bad review. In my opinion, Hilton should come in and clean house! I’ll never stay at this hotel again and I won’t approve an expense report for anyone I supervise that does.

Nice Inside the hotel, the food is decent, and the front staff is nice.

I’ve stayed at this hotel with my family twice for three days each time and I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. The rooms are very nice with good beds and lots of room. My family really enjoyed the pool, basketball court, and buffet breakfast. The gym is much better than average for a hotel. Bottom line: despite the other reviewers experiences I found the hotel to be clean an well managed on the occasions that I stayed there.

The staff is very friendly and makes your stay pleasurable. The rooms were great and above standard. I definitely recommend this hotel and will look for this name brand again!

This place is a dump! Stay away! Dirty bathrooms, broken washing machine, broken AC, and much more! This place is run by a rookie manager that isn’t concerned with basic hotel management. This place is definately not Hilton worthy. I highly recommend you find another place!

Have stayed at multiple Homewood Suites and this one is by far the worst. Seems to be a fairly new property and the rooms where nice and had everything as usual. Problems lye in the house keeping staff, they were worse then a motel 6 staff!!! I stayed for four weeks and had one, one good day of house keeping! Besides that the only other negatives where the dinner menu was hardly ever correct, the entire time I was there the pool was broken??? The washer was inop for 4 weeks, still was inop when I left… the printers in the guest office were broken and the A/​C broke and took over a week to get fixed.
Positives where the dinner staff was amazing, best ever! Very friendly and personal, catered to me and the others in my group as needed.
I would say the owner of this property needs to loosen his repair budget and completely fire the house keeping staff with the exception of Samantha, she should be charged with hiring a new staff and put into the lead house keeper position. If those to issues were corrected this property would rate five stars just like all the other Homewoods I’ve stayed in.

Great hotel! My husband & I stayed when he was transferred here, but our new residence wasn’t ready for us to move into. Rooms were clean, spacious & nicely decorated. Had all the things one would need in the in-​room kitchen (dishes, flatware, glasses, coffee mugs, coffee marker, toaster, dishsoap, dishwasher, microwave, stove top, pots/​pans, etc). The bathroom was clean & nice, with Neutrogena.

We were in Lawton for son’s graduation from basic training at Ft Sill. This was a good place for us, as we needed a bedroom suite for three adults and one child. The rate sold through
was discounted based on NON-​REFUNDABLE payment in advance. I even got an email the night before confirming our reservation. So guess who called about 30 minutes prior to our arrival informing us they were overbooked and had given our room away. Mr. Hilton’s Homewood Suites at Lawton, OK.
I’ve done a lot of business travel and stayed in Hilton Hotels around the world, with a well-​used HHonors card. But I’m cutting that card up and suggest you find another place to stay as well.
did find us a room (the town was pretty booked due to the graduation ceremonies) at the Executive Inn. It wasn’t a Hilton but the people were a lot nicer than «customer service» at the Homewood Hilton.

Broken glass on tile. Trash in closet. No extra blanket or fitted sheet. Hair in shower. not Hilton standards at all.

Three months old This place is very nice been here for three weeks and love the little kitchen and all the cooking equipment in the room.
Great place to stay.
