Wow! Great customer service here! I came in around 8 pm on a Saturday with my doggy. She and I were on a mission to get supplies to build something for my craft room. We needed PVC pipe, dowel rods, and connectors. As soon as I found the pipe, I needed it cut in half. A newer employee helped me out and sawed it in half– he wasn’t sure where the dowel rods were but found me someone who could help! In comes Lance (spelled wrong-​sorry) he asks me what I’m looking for and directs us (the new employee as well to show him for future reference) where the dowel rods were. Then I ask him if he could help cut holes in the pvc pipe for me as I didn’t have a drill at home and was going to hammer some nails in and hope for holes. Well he got to work! I needed 10 holes on each side of the pipe times 2! I didn’t leave there until about 9:50. He had to help another customer at one point but gave the job to another employee that helped finish it. They really went above and beyond their job description. I left with a fully, ready to assemble vinyl holder. He even helped me put «legs» on the bottom! There was another employee making keys that gave great encouragement and was great to be around (pet my doggy) and was all around a nice person to be around. At the end, I needed one thing for my shower and he even helped me with that– thank you so much Lance! Great job hiring a fantastic staff, Home Depot! So glad to have gone here tonight! Thank you!

This Home Depot can be a hit or miss. The staff is friendly but it seems like some don’t know what they are doing. I went in there to buy a patio table the other day. I brought the display on the table to make it easier for them. I had to return the display, and then go back and get it for the clerk 2 times. After waiting 45 minutes for them to bring the table to the customer service area, I had to leave because they were still having a problem finding some one to locate it. When I went there a couple of days later to get the patio table they were sold out and not available in any Home Depot store in the area. Their loss because I went somewhere else for a similar version.

We walked into the store and immediately we were greeted and asked if we needed any help and it was a refreshing relief to have that level of service! I will try to make this my permanent first choice Home Depot for my home or any repair needs!

Sorry but the location’s customer service floor reps are Hit or Miss. Folk are easy to find some days, harder others. I go because it’s close, though I could drive to Lowes. Only reason I haven’t changed completely is because i’ve gone so much, i know where 90% of what I need is located.

What can I say? This particular Home Depot is my home away from home. I spent so much time there working on home improvement projects that I know many of the managers by first name, and they recognize me as «oh my god that girl’s back again.»
Customer service is hit or miss — there are days when I have nothing but absolutely fantastic service from everyone on the floor, and other days when I want to throat punch people. On the whole though, obviously I keep returning to this Home Depot. It is clean, well lit, I love their clearance prices, and on the whole people are usually genuinely very nice.

To pick up something online it takes more than 10 minutes. This place got to be the slowest customer service ever. There are tons of people standing around and yet only person doing cashier.

I have shopped here since we moved to Laurel from NYC in 2008. What a great garden center. Wonderful staff, always friendly, ready to help and load in. Gary who I think is the manager is friendly and on point. Excellent and friendly service. My experience with the whole store has been similar — very friendly helpful people — perhaps it’s a reflection of good management!

Not a big fan of home depot. Went there on 2 occasions. Everyone stares and know one wants to help you until you go up to them and say can u help me. I was looking for insulation tape, and was told by three different people to go to three different areas and couldn’t find it. I stumble upon it on my on in the plumbing section. They only had one size, so spent extra on tape. The extra is still at home. And why instead of helping you because you are right there, they call someone else to help you. SMH

I went in to exchange a faucet because my wife did not like the color given some new granite we had installed. Gotta love running to Home Depot at 8 PM to get a new faucet to be installed the next day. No issues getting a refund and the representative was very nice. No wait either which was very surprising. While looking at other faucets in the store I was greeted by four representatives who asked if I needed any assistance. This was a much different experience than what I had in the past where I had to look for people and wait several minutes to get any help. I’m glad to see things have changed and the store has become the standard Home Depot that I’m used to.

UPDATE of September 23, 2014: I am so very impressed by the Laurel Home Depot and, in particular, their manager, Jesse. Jesse sent me a message through Unilocal stating that he wanted to resolve my pricing issue. And did he ever! Jesse and a colleague who manages the appliance department are graciously providing me a gift card for the difference between what I paid for our refrigerator and the sale price. I am so grateful. Thank you, Jesse, and thank you Home Depot! I am your loyal customer indefinitely for all of our home appliance and repair needs.

We purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on August 3, 2014. I placed the order on
. Delivery took place on August 8, 2014. So far, we are pleased with the refrigerator, a Maytag top-​freezer model with an ice maker.
The refrigerator went on sale for over $ 120 less than we paid. I phoned customer service on September 4, 2014, to request a price adjustment, and it was denied.

Hot or miss on customer service.
Certain months you see all employees greeting everyone and instantly disappears on you along the isles. Its weird… I would think their corporate trainer will ask them to ask if customer needs assistance or if they are finding what they need? Not just walk away after a greet ???
Same as all Home depot layout yet seems smaller than other stores.
Closes to my place so I stroll around monthly for new and bargain things.

This home depot sometimes has less stuff than the one in Silver Spring or Columbia. It is never packed though and the staff have been very helpful to me when I was looking for the help.

Lowes is just one mile south on 1.
The service here is horrible at this Home Depot.
Unhelpful staff. I asked someone in the law mower section a question, but he ignored me. I waited several minutes so he could finish what he was doing on his inventory scanner. But he never decided to address my question.

The staff are mostly nice and helpful if you can locate them. Inspect your purchases well. I bought spackling and it was half gone, dried out and moldy when I opened it. Another time one of the employees hit on me. I politely brushed him off and headed to the check out. While I was checking out he came back and continued to bother me. I finally had to bluntly tell him I am married with children, leave me alone. So awkward and unprofessional!

Long time happy Home Depot customer. I was however very disappointed at this location. We flagged down a total of 3 employees and waited 25 minutes for assistance. The 3^rd employee gave us the impression we were bothering her by asking for a little help. I actually had to call the store (while standing in the isle still waiting) and let them know I was still there. I have to say, the customer service is a nightmare if you’re trying to buy what you need and get out.

Longtime Home Depot customer, still remember when my mom worked in the paint department 10 – 15 years ago. The Laurel Home depot leaves much to be desired. They have everything I can think of, you can spend hours in there. Biggest complaint is that the employees tend to be helpful, but may not have had the training they need in their particular section. Basically, they all seem new. Like just started working a week ago new.
Worst customer service ever was today. Spent my Cinco de mayo digging up dying flowers and bringing them back to Homedepot. Bought two weeks ago about $ 50 worth of pegonias, amongst two carloads worth of mulch, flowers, grass seed etc. Called ahead of time, as i didn’t have my receipt and was told that was fine. They could pull my receipts using my credit card. Get all the way to the store to find they 1) could NOT find my receipt, 2) were sold out of the flowers i originally bought, and kept INSISTING i paid much less for the flowers, i. e take about 20 bucks for 50 dollars worth of flowers (4 for $ 10 deal… WHAT??). I only asked for a fair trade/​store credit on what i’d bought and i DID NOT WANT THE SAME FLOWERS that I’d bought and had die on me. The customer service woman kept insisting i take the 4 for $ 10 dollar deal and after repeatedly telling her no, asked to speak to a supervisor.
My daughter had to goto the bathroom, so when i got back i was pretty ticked at teh 30 minutes I’d already wasted trying to do a simple trade on bad flowers. Obviously i made too big of a deal because when i got back the «garden supervisor» comes over to let me know that there was no guarantee on annuals. I just looked at him and told him how ridiculous this whole thing was and that i was leaving. Left the dead flowers there and got NOTHING in return. Not one dime will Home Depot get from me again. They completely wasted my gas, my time and my money.
I left Home Depot really upset over the situation. Called the store number to speak to the manager and got the run around for another 10 min. Just left to sit on hold. «Robbie» picked up the phone twice and was able to finally connect me to Mr Mark Snyder. For some reason as i got transferred to and fro on the line, no one knew the manager on duty or his last name. ??? Completely bogus. Spoke to the manager and after giving him my card number over the phone, he was able to pull up all my transactions in about a minute. He apologized for the trouble, but why is it that the customer service people could not do what they should be trained to do?
For the rest of my summer needs I will look elsewhere. Disappointed by lack of service across the board, but realize that Homestead Gardens, Ace hardware, Lowes and Walmart are much too close to spend your hard earned money getting the run around.

I end up here because it is modestly closer to my house than Lowes. But based on the number of times that I haven’t found what I needed, I wonder why I keep coming here.

Anyway, I usually visit this location whenever I need home improvement stuff, as it’s the closest store of this kind to me, and have generally been satisfied every time.
Last night I needed to get some paint/​supplies for a house painting job. Had an employee greet me at the entrance and ask if I needed any assistance (I politely thanked him and said no; pretty much knew what I needed and where to find them).
Found everything I needed inside of 5 minutes and proceeded to self-​checkout, where a very sweet young lady named Lisa assisted me, unprompted, the whole way through. I did have quite a few items (yeah, I know, but I always prefer self-​checkout), so it was a tremendous help.
I can’t overstate how pleasant and helpful she really was; those qualities truly do make a difference/​impact. Sure, all customer service ostensibly is supposed to be that way, but we all know that just ain’t the case. Thanks again, Lisa.

The staff seems both knowledgeable and lazy. The store is usually unkempt. This seems to be a trend with Home Depot. They have everything you need but if you need help you are not going to be happy.
Self Check out is functional but slow, either fix it or shut it down.

Somehow my love for Home Depot is on the slide lately :(One of the biggest reasons for that is deteriorating customer service and my inability to find stuff that I am looking for.
Used to be a time I could walk in to any Home Depot store and easily navigate to the aisle that stocked what I was looking for.
Now, it takes a few twists and turns and retracing my steps to get to that aisle — stuff is no longer in a predictable place and even the staff — most of them anyways — don’t know and worse — don’t care enough to help you out!
We were looking for some aluminum channels and there was a guy arranging stuff not 5 feet away from them and could not answer a question that we had on the channels. When prodded more, he merely shrugged his shoulders and told us to find the right sales person to help and just walked away!
Howz that for customer service!
