Window World

I am so happy that I chose window world to replace my windows and doors. I consider myself an extremely particular and high maintenance Customer. I am particular because I sadly look for all the flaws before it is done and high maintenance because I not only have a difficult schedule but I have a few Windows at a time.
I recently had a sliding door which was almost 4,000 dollars from a COMPETITOR which did not even close unless you used a secondary lock from the inside. It took that company a week to fix it and grunted when I pointed out the areas where the caulk and paint had a visible sheen difference. I had a broken kitchen window and I refused to go back to the over priced company with less family type of attitude.
My first experience was contact through email which was adorably sent back timely by Jaimie. Jaimie and Jerry explained how the system works. Jerry comes over and gives an estimate. He measures that day or can come back and take all the measurements the day you want to pay ½ so they order it and the manufacturer starts the build. I thought about it and I ordered the window that the over priced competitor was trying to sell me for 3X+ what Jerry quotes me. Jerry is not the typical trying to sell you more and pushy guy. He actually looked at my door which was broken and without being unprofessional or being negative he confirmed that is should not close like that. He has so much history that he showed me what to look for and how to understand what could happen. He is a non-​intrusive father. I could tell when he told he how to add weather stripping to the front door because it was deteriorating and when his son Nick came to install a few Windows.
The kitchen window came out beautiful. I am not an installer myself but they explained how the manufacture sends the whole window and frame and it was easy. I have a very hard schedule but they fit me is where my Boyfriend could be there to see the job complete when I went to work.
The second encounter went the same with an email to request an estimate. Jaimie is very prompt with a response. Jerry came again and measured the Windows. Since I pay each when I save money. I ordered 3 on the front of house. I had a history of all my roommates feeling their room being 10 degrees hotter. AMAZING is all I could say about these Windows. I asked for he best ones for that side of the house and it went great. I had people coming to stay in that room and Nick (Jerry’s son)! who was sick called and offered to install them. He said it was my choice. I could not have been the most polite and gentle soul. He has manners and again was completely professional. Because of my work schedule, I was not going to have another time so he stuck to the plan. The 3 Windows were upstairs. The manufacture sent the Windows the same size. One is a smaller front window. We looked at the order form and Jerry did everything correct. With the new window being made as a complete new piece with the gas between the panes, I expected as told initially– it would be 4 – 6 weeks. It was a little less than 4. The scheduler who called was awesome. She was very accommodating. They made me a priority because it was the manufacture error. The job was completed. Nick cleaned and completed the task without any snags.
My 3^rd and NOT LAST is this recent order of a window and a sliding glass door. Jaimie scheduled and Jerry came over. He showed me all the types they offered and it was easy. The order was placed and ½ was paid for.
I read a review and I realize some people. May or may not understand what they are ordering but this company made a it very clear with signed papers and descriptions. This past order was on a Time crunch. I ordered the door knowing I had a huge work party at my house in 4 weeks after the order. I checked and they just go my it in. It is their busy season and I am so BLESSED!!! The scheduling lady who works with these knew owners made moving mountains to make the install happen look like a piece of cake. I feel special, understood and excited. I am a tough customer and these guys have made me a very happy lady in an amazing house. I have about 20 more Windows needing to be replaced. I do it in a strategic manner. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with this team of people! Check out my old house and simply the 2 windows in the front that have been changed… The neighborhood is pretty jealous and my HOA approved them. Yay!

I thank you for your prompt response. I would like to clarify that I never told your staff I wanted the windows installed, I was never asked and was unaware that we would have to measure ourselves for a self install. That was my mistake and do apologize. However, when I came into the store I DID NOT pick out a window design. My husband and I were trying to ask questions about the windows when the sales associate kept walking over to the window several times (not briefly) to look outside, so I do believe this interfered. She even walked out right behind us to check the car… We agreed that we would get a quote on the TWO types of windows and go from there.
In any event I am glad the windows have been ordered. I can say I am satisfied with the price.
Jerry came out to our home to do an estimate last Wednesday. Friday I got off work early so we could order the windows only to be told they would call us Monday before noon with a price. The sales lady seemed more concerned looking out the window to see if her mom was outside than help us. Monday afternoon my husband called and was told they would call back within an hour and of course no call. Today he called again and was told they were working on it. We haven’t even picked out the design so I am confused as to what is taking so long being Jerry had already quoted us a price. We are having our stucco redone and their lack of customer service is causing us a delay. Don’t waste your time here.

I’m absolutely blown away by Window World! Their friendly office is such a pleasure. Their work is phenomenal! They take home improvement to a new level with remarkable window installation. You never realize how your windows play a huge roll in upgrading your homes appearance. Window World does a job to be proud of and gives you home to show off. Don’t make the mistake of going to any competitor, I know I won’t!

We needed all new windows installed in our home. Our older home needed custom sized windows, and every window was a different measurement. It took two weeks to create our windows, and they were able to install them the day after they were completed.
I am very happy with installation done by Andrew and Shawn. They were very professional and made sure we were happy with their work. They cleaned all the windows and even vacuumed before they left!

Has anyone encountered a WARRANTY problem with this Company?
I have been waiting 8 weeks for a part (a Balance) I have called them again today 12÷28÷15 this is my 4^th call (11/2;11/8;12/7 and today), and keep being told it would be on the next truck but as of today to my knowledge no Balance, I explained that if not repaired buy 1÷11÷16 that I would be filing complains with the State Contractors Board and the BBB!
Again I ask has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I had a problem in the past and it was resolved with one phone call BUT I’m not sure if it was with the original owners or the new ones? Any replies would be appreciated !

This company has a new owner who is very hard working and we had a great experience! We were very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them!

We just got 7 windows and a sliding door pit in from WW. Everything went perfect! Measurements were precise. They came at 7:30 as promised and did not leave till late in the afternoon, once everything was done perfectly! Thanks Window World!

At first I was very impressed with Window World. The sales guy was very friendly and gave us a $ 200 discount off of our 5 windows and sliding door. Plus their lifetime warranty was great! We ended up going with them. We were told it would take 6 weeks for the windows to come in and it did. The day after they came in we got a call to schedule an appt. We explained to them originally that my husband would be cutting a hole in our wall for the sliding door so we wanted a Monday appt. We scheduled the appointment two weeks after the windows came in on a Monday and my husband cut the hole and put up a couple sheets of plywood to cover it temporarily until the next day when we thought our windows would be installed.
They were supposed to be here between 8 – 9. At 8:30am a rep from their company calls and tells me that the installer can’t come out today and they need to reschedule to Wednesday!!! When I asked why he wouldn’t be out they said car trouble. I get it stuff happens. However, I told her that Wednesday is absolutely not ok because I have a huge hole in my wall and my house is not secure! She responded with, «Ya they told me that.» Are you kidding me?! So instead of switching someone else’s appointment to get me in due to this being a little more urgent their attitude was pretty much tough luck. I told them I needed to get my windows in the next day which they did.
The installer who came was great. I have no complaints about the person who installed my windows. However, the next thing that happens is not only my sliding glass door 3 inches too small but my living room window is also the wrong size! He explained how sorry he was and that the person who measured was obviously wrong. He finished installing the other windows and explained to me that he would put a rush on the order for the door and window and that it would take 2 weeks and not worry about paying the remaining balance until the job is finished. Which is also what my contract says.
When I call the office about the windows they wanted me to pay more money. Not just that but they tell me that the person who measured my windows isn’t trained to do that. Really?! Then why was he allowed to measure them. I argued back and forth with them for a bit and tell them that what I have already paid completely covers the installation and all the windows that were installed and that my contract states I don’t have to pay in full until ALL of my windows are installed properly. It took my husband getting on the phone and requesting to speak with the manager that they finally said not to worry about it until all windows are installed.
So I call on a Thursday to see if my windows have come in (which they did) because it has been three weeks and they say that they can’t schedule an appointment yet because their general manager handles the scheduling. So at the end of the next day when I still have not heard anything I call back and she tells me the person who schedules isn’t in. I didn’t get a call back from them until Wednesday the following week so there’s almost a whole week my windows were sitting there!
They finally got installed after about 4 weeks! Totaling 12 weeks from the first order! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their customer service is terrible and they have an I don’t care attitude when they are the ones that make the mistake! If I could give them 0 stars I would have.
Again I will say that the person who was contracted through window world to physically install my windows was great! He did a good job.

Warning — Window World:
In my case this company didn’t install all windows as promised because they made a mistake measuring them. Still, the entire invoice amount was billed to my Credit Card.
I didn’t get any reaction to four emails and two phone calls. Only after the 7^th try I was promised a partial refund. In regard of the remaining work at the unfinished windows: it was supposed to happen within two weeks, it took them five.
Windows World does not offer any discount and refers to their fine print that allows them 180 days to react. They also refuse to provide you with a written answer so they can’t be held accountable. I would be very careful doing business with them.
