Very disappointing customer service. I’ve been trying to get someone to come out and fix my electrical box since the installation which was almost two months ago. Somehow when the installation took place they’ve Missy have messed with the writing cause a fuse goes out in the middle of the night for at least two straight months now. I’m having to flip the switch every single morning. At first I figured I could keep doing this until the techs come and fix the issue, however my electrical stuff is malfunctioning cause of all the resets of electricity. Vision solar seemed very responsive to my needs prior to installation but after system was hooked they’ve left us high and dry. I know they outsource the techs which requires additional waiting but this is ridiculous. I’ve since stopped telling people about vision solar and suggested solar city since they are a larger company more known company.

I have had nothing but great service from Vision Solar from pre-​installation, installation to a running system. There were NO upfront charges. I pay a small monthly bill to NVEnergy (Around $ 14 – 15 a month) and then a larger payment to the energy company affiliated with Vision for the lease. My costs have gone down. The savings aren’t huge in the short-​term but in the long run they will be. The information I was given by my energy advisor was complete and in detail — if people don’t read that and understand it, then that’s on them. They haven’t promised me anything that I haven’t received. Installation was fantastic — everything happened exactly as they said and sometimes faster. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Vision Solar.

We found this company at a local fair. We stopped and talked to them about their «free» solar program in association with Nevada Power. This sparked our attention due to the fact that they said that there was no out of pocket expenses. They set an appointment up with us and came to our home to discuss the solar option. When the representative arrived — late — she went over what we needed to qualify — To own our home, Be willing to want to save money and to have a 650 credit score or higher. This last statement on credit made the «free solar program» seem not so free anymore. So at that moment the representative called her main office so that I could talk to their finance dept and be sure of my score and that checking this would in no way affect my score. So I went over my name and address with this finance person but I did not give my social. The representative stated that since no social was needed, there wouldn’t any effect on our credit. So after the call, she said we qualified and that they would work up the total of the panels needed. Well we were told 2 days which crept up into a week before any program was given to us. 2 days after our receiving this, I received a text from my credit guard company that a «hard» credit check from the parent corp of Vision Solar. So after this blatant lie, we contacted our representative and told them this and not to contact us again. The program is not free and whether you take the program or not your credit will take a hit and they don’t need your social to run it. Something else about this that Nevada Power is not in cooperation with Vision Solar or any other solar firm according to Nevada Power.

«I Met with an Energy Advisor from Vision Solar named Doug Falatea. He was very polite and did a very good job explaining to my spouse and I how a Power Purchase Agreement could benefit us as homeowners and save us money on our energy bill each month. We just got our solar system installed last week and Doug has kept us up to date and in the loop during the whole process. They were able to get us installed in about 6 weeks and the best thing about it was it didn’t cost us a penny. I am happy to refer people to Doug Falatea and Vision Solar because I know they really care about helping homeowners save money.»

This company may provide great service and solar panels, but they do it under false information. I came home about a week ago to a couple of small Microsoft documents taped to my garage and front door. This document stated that Nevada Energy must have renewable energy accounting for at least 25% of their power source by a certain year. The document then stated that due to this there are programs being offered through Nevada Energy and the government to install solar panels to willing homeowner’s houses FREE of charge. Immediately, my husband was like, «Uh scam.» Especially because this information was placed on some cheap typing paper that was haphazardly taped to our’s and our neighbour’s homes. One never knows though since the entire country has been moving toward energy efficiency so I told my husband we should look into it.
First, the number provided on the document did not match the number on the website for the company. That turned out to be fine. My husband called the website number and verified it was the same place. Then he received a call back about this «FREE» program being offered. My husband asked the guy several questions. The most obvious being, «There is no catch? This is totally free to the homeowner?» To which the reply was there was no catch. It is all at absolutely no charge to the homeowner. It was stated again that they were doing this in combination with Nevada Energy because of a government requirement on renewable energy. My husband was then told that there were only three requirements; the home has a high energy bill normally, you are in fact the homeowner, and that someone in the household has at least 650 credit score. Notice that last one is odd right? If it is all free then why is a credit score necessary at all? And why would you run someone’s credit to provide them with a free product?
So we decided to check with Nevada Energy to verify all of this. Not only did they say this was not true, but that they have been inundated with calls lately about this same bs sales tactic. Nevada Energy is not doing a program with Vision Solar nor any other solar panel company. We were informed by Nevada Energy that we would in fact be LEASING the panels, which of course is another way of saying that we would be paying for them through some kind of contract with the company. After all, nothing in life is FREE.
It is a shame because they may actually provide perfectly capable solar panels at a nice price or something that is flexible for homeowners. My husband spoke with a secretary and the supervisor over the program. Both were very nice. Unfortunately, they lost trust due to their sale’s tactic. If you look them up on Google you will see they use the same tactic in California and homeowner’s there also confirmed through their own power company that this was false. I cannot recommend them.
Homeowners be warned and ALWAYS do your homework.

We had vision solar install panels 2 months ago and we have been very happy with them. The transition between power to solar was seamless. I have no complaints.

The team at Vision Solar is awesome. Our sales rep (Jonah) was so easy to talk to and was not high pressured at all! Installation was quick and their team handled all of the permitting and inspections directly, without any hassles from our side. I have and will continue to highly recommend Vision Solar!
