Tropical Smoothie Cafe

For starters this comments is regards to Andrea. So literally 20 minutes till happy hour hits and I ask the cashier if I can just hang out and wait so I could get an extra smoothie, this cashier says okay fine then I’m not making your smoothie. I said that’s absolutely fine I’ll wait and she then says well it’ll take longer either way because my shift is over OKAY you don’t run this café woman I’m sure someone will shortly clock in so I continue to ignore her comments. Anyways as I’m writing this waiting for this strict happy hour to hit I hear her mumbling and giving me dirty looks as she «assists» other costumers. Good job Trop smoothie for poor hiring.

Worst customer service ever, lady over the intercom is rude and needs to learn some basic ways of greeting a customer! I believe her name is Andrea, not only do they take a whole hour to make one smoothie she has no common curtesy last time I ever come here I’m making sure my coworkers are aware of this ! We are taking our business else where !!!

Here’s a tip, go to another location. I don’t know what changed, but they have gone downhill fast. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, as I never want to be detrimental to anyone’s business, however… I go to TS at least 5 times a week (this is my main location as its close to my home) I recently started going to this location at varied times, thinking that they have someone new that just needs a little time to perfect their smoothing making skills. But the last four times my smoothies have been TERRIBLY made. Today was the first day I had bad customer service. I asked what the difference was between the Thai chicken wrap vs the Jamaican jerk chicken wrap, and the answer I got was «the sauce and the stuff we put on it». Excuse me, what? Lol. I smiled, and said «thank you,» because that’s how I was raised.
I’ll gladly take my business somewhere else.
But on a positive note, the Thai Chicken wrap was Amazing.

They take forever!!! Make it wrong. Have attitudes. Jimmy is they guy to go to if you want something done right. This is the only close location to me and I hate coming here but it’s the only close one!!! The manager needs to visit more or something!

Smoothie was great. Service was lousy. Walked in the door at 11:43 Am today. Order was not taken until 12:08 PM. One worker left at noon leaving the other, a new hire, alone during the lunch rush. The place was packed, at least 8 cars in the drive-​thru, and she had no help. And she had to stop and count the money in her cash drawer. Where was her help? Where was the manager? This poor gal did her very best. The guy that left was supposed to have roasted bananas for their Spiced Pear Smoothie but he did not so my son had to have his smoothie made with a plain banana…
Definitely will not go back!

This location cannot handle more than one car in the drive thru. Just pulled up to the speaker to order and was told «just a moment please» waited almost 5 minutes while the cashier kept the headset on so I could hear the conversation. There was literally one car I front of us no one else. After 5 minutes of waiting to order again asked for help. Was told again «just a moment please» This was going on 10 minutes of sitting there with no help at all. The location by my house has one. Employee most nights and he multi tasks great and takes care of the customers very well. Won’t be back

I love tropical smoothie but every time I come here it’s always understaffed and it takes 15 – 20 minutes for me to get one smoothie. There’s always a line, they should hire more than one person!

I smoothies !! Was so excited to see one on my side of town .,
The service wasn’t so good, but the lady was by her self .
I ordered a smoothie and chicken chipotle sandwich, it’s was terrible drowning in chipotle sauce, couldn’t even eat it took one bite and threw it away .
Take a look at the photo maybe that’s how they make them, didn’t look anything like the picture.
This was the first time I ordered a sandwich from a smoothie shop never again .,

The smoothie was okay, can’t complain, average.
I never knew this place was here, the lady waiting on me said it’s been here for five months, would of never known if I wasn’t buying a new phone at tmobile .
I will probably come back and maybe have a better experience but I still will never order a sandwich .
We will see if my second experience is better then the first.
As for now I give 1 star

I usually come here for my late night fix but tonight was totally different! My friend ordered a paradise point and OH MY GOD! Was that disgusting!!!
It literally tasted like they put half a banana and a ton of ice! It was terrible. There was even a disgusting after taste. Never coming back! Well, never coming back to the person who made my smoothie! So if you ever get James J watch out! I really wish I could give this place zero stars after this experience.

Whenever something opens on the east side of Las Vegas I always like to visit– even the chains. I’ve been here a couple of times and I think it’s A OK. The staff is nice. They have been short staff both times IMO. One person to handle the drive thru AND the lobby. Bad for business. It takes money to make money. Not just selling more but customer service. After my visits I’ve concluded that I think their smoothies are too sweet. I make smoothies at home and I know it takes a lot of fruit or sweetener to make em sweet. They offer one drink that is naturally sweetened.
I do, however, like their food offerings. I think they have a lot of unique or «on trend» items. Korean tacos? Thai wraps? It has a little gourmet vibe aka good marketing.
I didn’t like that their powder tops weren’t clean. I’m sure after awhile bacteria will start to form.
The place is affordable, clean, and I’d go back but not in a hurry.

I went here for the first time yesterday. It was through the drive thru because I was short on time. I ordered a peach smoothie and a blueberry smoothie for my lady. I loved it. I also ordered the spinach feta wrap was was awesome. If your looking for this place you may spend a few minutes looking for it because it seems a little tucked away. Honestly it looks a little deserted from the outside. If I had to rate it on the appearance alone it would be below a 1 star but honestly the smoothies and wrap were delicious. It’s open 24 hours. I can see myself going back again. The end

I walked in late afternoon it was empty just one person sitting another just ordering before me and myself trying to see the plain boring menu of smoothies with no pictures of Vibrant Healthy Drinks! to make it interesting the place looked very depressing to me one guy doing the whole thing ringing up the registar and making your smoothie the chairs they have for you to sit down are hideous !!!
The wall colors are gloomy and to my suprise they had posters of somekind of chicken salad and other food I am guessing this guy is the cook as well as I can’t see it possible how there is only one person in the place and I was in there for about 8 min. and nobody but that one guy working it all !
Then it dawned on me after I placed my order and sat down looking at how pissed the first client whom had ordered before me was by just looking at her face she had to wait on me and my few questions as there was only one person doing it all so sorry had I known I would have told the worker its okay I will place my order after done with hers.
The smoothies had a slight tast of fruit it literally tasted like a slice of mango in mine with lots of blended Ice and and in my friends smoothie it was worse hers tast literally like two Acai Berries with plenty of blended ice only so basically water down smoothies.
He is either not trained well as the smoothies were so bland or he is not passionate about his job at the moment.
We went home and trashed them ! I did not even want to bother going back into that depressing atmosphere an address the matter to get my $ 10 back because I was not going to bother asking him to make them over again so I let it be.
My suggestions as a client whom has been to the best of the best all over Vegas brighten the place up with vibrant colors of summer and when a client enters the first thing they should smell is FRESH FRUITS like when you walk into J**** Juice and have nice lively music with a lively team of workers in lively uniforms to welcome you as soon as you enter and get rid of those ugly metal scraped up chairs !
Have one person handle the registar and others making your smoothies instead of a one man fits all type of work.
Its a Tropical Smoothie Business so it should be a good experience from the moment you enter of a vibrant establishment.
I will say great front parking and drive through for convenience but hard to spot location from Boulder Hwy you would never have seen this place as you drive through the hwy it takes a passanger to spot it :)

This location is very convenient. They have excellent smoothies. And fast friendly service. I would recommend this location to everyone
