So. I dropped off a pair of leather boots. Well made. Sturdy. And cute. Worth cleaning the leather and recovering the heel. November 14. I was told 30 days to do so. 30 days later I called and you guessed. No shoes. This time I’m told «4 – 6 weeks». Yep. Here we are almost 2 months and no boots. Could not get an answer on the phone so I drove here. As I type this, I am in the store and have been for 15 minutes. What am I waiting for? The clerk calls the «warehouse» and he is on hold. When I finally speak to someone, «Bill», his attitude is they have over «2000 items on inventory» and it takes what it takes. My attitude is «don’t tell people you can do something and don’t do it.» His attitude is «I can take the leather off the heels and send them back to you.» Really. Sarcasm. Okay. Leave the heels covered and return my boots. They had not even started cleaning them!!! What a total Waste of my time. Now Vegas today is nice and sunny. Boots are the last thing I need. Good life lesson. Don’t waste time and money on a place this busy.

I was so disappointed by my experience at Show Lab that it prompted me to write my first review on Unilocal.As a long time user of Unilocal,I have found the site very useful and accurate. If I had seen the overall rating for this business first, I never would have walked in the front door.
I took my 3 year old Victorinox suitcase into the store because the handle was partially broken. First of all I was told the suitcase was no longer under warranty, which I later found was NOT TRUE. All Victorinox luggage has a full global warranty for 5 years and then a limited warranty for years 6 – 10. I was quoted a price over $ 100 and told it would take 4 – 6 weeks because they needed to order the part from Victorinox. Much to my surprise when I picked up my suitcase, the handle installed was clearly not even a Victorinox handle. The swivel feature, branding, and pull out name plate were no longer part of the suitcase. The handle is so cheep, it feels like it is going to break after a few uses. I’m now stuck with a suitcase I will not even use.

Seriously, I laugh about it now, because I used to think about how I would never go to get my shoes repaired when I can simply just purchase a new one. No, I seriously look back now frown at my self because I went!
My mom bought me these Chinese Laundry shoes back when I was in high school. Mind you, I’m twenty-​something now, and I still have it, but these pair of shoes, while they’re not often used anymore, they meant something to me. So when I tried them on a few months ago, I notices that the wedges were a bit wobbly, and it’s grip were starting to get worn out.
Again, didn’t want to do this as I did have the option to one, let it go or two just buy a pair similar to it, but I had to just try this place out. After all, there’s always a first for everything right? So I was quoted $ 25 for repair which I guess isn’t so bad when it comes to repairing something that meant so much to me. Service was okay, but I really just came for them to restore.
I’m basing this review based on their work. I’m very happy with the work that they did as I feel that when I’m wearing the shoes, there is grip again, and perhaps, they used very adhesive glue to bond the wedges together? They also polished some of the skid marks from it which was SUPER nice of them to do. As for the shoes that I got repaired, I think I’m just going to leave it in the closet for a special occasion.

Great customer service and shoe repair was done in a timely manner and looks brand new again.

I don’t understand how I managed to do it, but I ripped the side of my Steve Madden heels. I have only had them a few weeks and I really didn’t want to give up on them so after hearing these guys were good, I brought in my shoes & they fixed it that same day! My shoes are like new again! The staff were very friendly also which is a huge plus! Thumbs up from me!

Went in to get info about a shoe shine. Everyone there was super great. It was $ 5 for a shine and it took about 10 minutes. Best part is that the shoes look better then new!!! I definitely will be giving them some more business in the future and I recommend you try this place!

Very nice staff but horrible workmanship — and at premium prices to boot. I took in a suitcase to have the handle repaired. «Oh yes, we repair Delsey luggage» they said. When it was returned, the telescoping handle they put on was way too short. When I complained they said they use aftermarket parts not OEM parts and there was nothing they could do. Why didn’t they tell me up front that it may not come back in useable condition?
Now when I use the bag, I kick it every few steps because of the short handle. It is maddening. Stay away from this place.

They fixed my Louboutins to almost looking like brand new!!! After agonizing over how to fix the accordion effect, I went to shoe lab. Although I came right before closing, they were so nice and fixed the shoes within minutes and for a great price too. Now I won’t be so devastated when/​if something happens.

I used to go here several years ago. Good work and reasonable to deal with. I returned last year and discovered new staff and new problems. They performed a horrible job on a pair of boots. After alot of unnecessary drama and 4 months later the boots surfaced in decent condition. I had left them there as garbage. There were also new staff. Silly me thought things were better. I brought a pair of shoes that needed heels, soles and stitching on the sides where the threads came apart and thought this was communicated. Upon pick up the heels and soles were done. However, the sides were glued together verses stitched and one side was missed. I pointed this out. All they did was argue and want to charge me more to do what I originally asked for correctly. I think it’s time to move on. Too many problems. Oh, did I forget to mention they are a bit overpriced too.

I am updating my review from 7 months ago. I go here in request of my boss, not for my own personal use. The last two times I have been at the location has made up for that one horrible experience I had. I believe they got a new staff which is great because they are very friendly and helpful. Every time I call, my questions are answered in a respectful and honest tone. They did a wonderful job fixing a couple of baseball gloves, as well as some shoes. They have great hours and can pretty much do anything. Do not hesitate to give them a call and see if they can help you. If they do have to order certain materials it will take longer for the repairs so allow enough time before you need the item. Overall I was satisfied with the last couple of experiences and will continue to use them, as my boss loves the work they do!

I like this shop’s staff. They are always try to great and give efforts on repairing my shoes. But this shop really rips its customers off. Their technique is splendid, but is too expensive. Gee… How regrettable.

Very expensive they wanted almost $ 200 to glue the rubber heel and reconditioning my booties.
Seriously! Ridiculous I glue the heel myself and I took the boots to Greenvalley 2 on Rainbow and paid $ 25.00

Their pricing may be loose but I forgive them because of the great job they did resurfacing/​reconditioning my Coach leather purse. It was pretty beat-​up after almost 10 years of use. When I picked it up I could not believe it was my old purse. It looked like new. I had it reconditioned about half a year ago and was waiting with the review to see how the repair holds up. It does very well, I travel a lot and the wear is minimal.

This place quoted me almost 300 $ to repair my louboutins. Granted there are a lot of repairs but another shoelab location quoted me less. Scammy

My wife took her shoes in for repair and was told 2 – 3 weeks. At 3 weeks she called and was told they were not ready. At 4 weeks she was told they did not have the material to fix them. Hmmm so why did it take FOUR WEEKS for them to lets her know. Then she called and called and stopped in to pick up and each time was told they were not back from the workshop. OK at SIX WEEKS I called and spoke to a Billy, the Retail Operations Manager, in two days they were repaired and ready. Hmmm. The woman at the store Esmeralda just kept lying to my wife time and time again.
Although the did finally fix them and the price seem expensive for what they did. The customer service at the store was HORRIBLE. We are thankful we got the shoes back and repaired to our satisfaction but we will never go there again.

Located in Boca Park and clearly using loose pricing schemes and hushed talk to pay the excessive rent there is not much positive I can say about Shoe Lab, other than perhaps that they do a good job at making a buck. Keeping my ‘experience’ brief, I contacted the store to inquire about the cost of replacing a ¼ inch loop of brown leather on a pair of double monk straps and was told I’d have to bring the item in for «assessment» — a quick visual inspection by the clerk leading to hushed discussion with the craftsman who very obviously looked both me and the brand over before quoting the random price of $ 35…$ 10 more than he’d just quoted a woman before me to replace a worn heel on a beaten up pair of Steve Maddens. Chuckling at this price and suggesting I’d look elsewhere it was with little surprise that the clerk sprang to action suggesting a «special» price of $ 25 without consulting her boss — an obvious indication that the former price was based on the label more than the workload and plenty of incentive for me to walk out, taking my business elsewhere.
Admittedly noting that their selection of shoe care products is on par with some of the higher end locations in the city it seems reasonable to assume that the quality of worksmanship is high but never one to support shady business practices I can’t say I’m in any rush to affirm the veracity of that assumption.

I’ve been in this shop twice and both times left very satisfied so felt it was best to leave a good review. The first time I went in because the zipper on my leather jacket wasn’t working. I stopped by and they said they could fix it while I waited. The craftsman stopped what he was doing and worked on my zipper for a few minutes and my jacket has been working wonderfully ever since. I think i was charged around 10 or 15 bucks. Well worth it to get my $ 400 leather jacket back in action for trips to lovely places in Canada and North Dakota in the winter.
My second visit was even better. I took in a pair of new boots that I bought but they had a stupid tag thing on the back that would catch my pants every time I sat down and stood back up. I went in and asked them if they could just cut off the tag in a fashion that wouldn’t ruin the boots. The girl at the front handed them to the craftsman, he worked on them for about 5 minutes, and then gave them back to me. They looked awesome, like they had been manufactured that way, and of course, my pants don’t get caught on them any more. Best of all when I asked how much they didn’t even charge me anything. Now that’s how you earn a repeat customer.
I will definitely be back for any shoe/​leather/​luggage repairs and suggest anyone looking for quality work do the same.

I bring them a pile of beat up rubble, and magnificent perfection is ALWAYS returned. skilled craftsmen like no other.
I’ve dropped off footwear suffering chew marks and a vintage pair of shoe heaven in need of a miracle… IMPRESSED very IMPRESSED.
Yes, they’re not cheap so if you’re in need of a more frugal repair, you’ll likely be happier with a lower end shop.
Thanks Shoe Lab, I wouldn’t dream of taking my beloved shoe obsession anyplace else.

I have these old Kenneth Cole boots that I absolutely love but the heels have worn down and one of the zipper tabs have come off. Decided to take them to Shoe Lab which was convenient to my workplace. The lady at the front counter quoted me $ 90 to have the boots resoled and $ 35(knocked down from $ 45) to have the zipper pull replaced. Damn expensive right? $ 125 can buy you a nice pair of new boots. But since I can’t find anything close to my beloved boots, I decided to go ahead and pay for them to get fixed. The woman assured me that my boots will feel the same and nothing about their comfort should change.
The lady said the boots will be ready in 5 days and will call when they’re done. A week passed (no call from Shoe Lab) since I dropped the shoes off so decided to give them a call to inquire about the boots. The lady on the phone (I assume the same lady at the counter) answered and told me she was busy and that she’ll call me back in 30 minutes. Never called me back. See, I’m not in any rush to get my shoes back so I call again a few days later and same thing, she’s too busy and will call me in 30 minutes. The time passed and she didn’t call back again. So on my lunch break, I headed down to Shoe Lab, looked the lady in the eye and asked about my shoes. She literally turns around and goes, «Oh here they are! They’re ready.» Was that so frickin hard to do over the phone? Seriously?!
My boots looked fine, zipper fixed and shined. They shaved down the old heel and glued on a new one and glued a new sole at the bottom of the shoe. The work looked OK but didn’t seem like a $ 90 job. And for some reason, the boots have become noticeably tighter. I don’t know what Shoe Lab did but they are no longer the comfy boots that I love. Now, they’ll have to be stretched to fit me properly. But for this job, I will take my business elsewhere where, hopefully, they don’t price gouge and actually have good customer service.

We have been going to the Shoe Lab for three years. They put a lift in my wife’s one shoe. They are pricey but I can’t compare it to other places because this is the only one we’ve been to.
Their work always takes several days and I know that in advance and plan for it. The work has always been first rate.
