I just finished my 1^st boots on the ground training weekend. I received all types of great information and instructions on how to use this program. It will be put to good use and I appreciate all the help I have given. I look forward to going to the buyers seminar in Las Vegas to learn about other things that I can learn about and other ways I can start other investments. I love this program!!!

My Son received an invitation and talked me into going as his Guest. He wanted to go because of the free food and the promise on a Free MP3 Player if you sat through the whole lecture, which we did.
What we didn’t expect is at the end of the 3 hour lecture instead of a MP3 Player we got a voucher with a website that they said we had to go to. When people asked why they replied «There were more people than we expected and we ran out.» That put up the red flag for me and I had a feeling we would never see the Free MP3 Player.
When we got home we did as instructed and filled out the online form for the Player. Well it has been a month and we have never received it. Yep, Scam in my book. We did get Free food and drinks but that was it. Of course we did not sign up for any of the classes and I am guessing we will never be invited back.

F you and your manipulative sales tactics. Obviously everyone loves making money, but is it really that hard to make it an honest way that doesn’t fill people’s heads with lies and empty promises of fortune as long as they do what you say? I attended a seminar yesterday for some entry level information on the real estate market. I immediately knew it was a scam upon sales pitch after sales pitch. Sign up for this workshop and ooh this one too, only a few thousand and you’ll make it all back! I felt so sorry for all the desperate, brainwashed Americans who actually believe the BS you were spewing out. Any educated individual could simply research your company prior to signing up and realize what an awful decision they made. Oh, and there’s no gifts or laptop at the end of the 90 minute, no, sorry, 4 hour presentation. Mr. Yancey it is people like you that make this world corrupt and I hope one day you are sued for all the dirty money you’ve wrenched out of the foolish peoples’ pockets you’ve stolen from all these years.

Don’t waist you time. They pressure you into signing up for their 3 day seminar for $ 2000. Not to mention their other paid seminars. And if you still don’t bite you can get a DVD for $ 20. If you don’t buy anything the «FREE» MP3 player is a voucher that you have to go online to get «WHICH YOU CANT» and the Laptop is IN THE MAIL. Not to mention their disclaimer of «not responsible for incorrect address or shipping errors» I would guarantee that there is no laptop. The free dinner is a boxed lunch and water which you have to eat on your lap. Oh almost forgot… the 90 minute seminar is 4 hours long. They talk a good talk and make it sound too good to be true. They must have all been used car salesmen before doing the seminar scene. They rank up there with Timeshare pitches.

Staged, a waste of valuble time for the busy person; Seniors, people w/​no jobs, the Retired, perhaps not so much. I am a Junior Invstr. who knows a little bit about the subject, but always want to ‘learn more’. So the Seminar was free. What’s to lose, right? The whole thing is a hard-​sell from beginning to end. The audience is full of ‘plants’…mingled amongst the attendees. I knew who they all were too; one of them kept ‘badgering me’ about whether or not I was going to sign up”…if only an attendee there like myself, ‘why’ was he so concerned about my business? The old coot asked me twice till I finally shooed him away & ignored him. (3) other people asked me also, so I KNEW then, the place was full of ‘shills’ for the Yancy project. He probably recruits these poor losers who have no jobs ‚& throws 10.00 @ them a day to go «fill out the audience» in his Seminars. Sadly, you’d be surprised how naïve a lot of people are & didn’t pick up on this gag. The hard-​sell never works on me & I have NO problem saying «no». Don’t waste your time ~ just watch them on their Cable show. It’s Entertainment only… not to be taken seriously.

First let me say don’t waste your time and throw your invitation in the garbage. We attended Scott Yancey seminar yesterday and have nothing good to say about it from start to finish. First of all they ask you to wear business attire, why, can’t figure it out. No need, shorts were fine. They tell you it will be a 90 minute presentation with lunch and prizes. Well the 90 minutes turned into 4 hours of hard pitched sales. Felt like we were at a timeshare presentation. Started at noon and it was 2:30 before they gave us our lunch.. A sandwich, chips, cookie, and water all in box that you had to eat on your lap while listening to the next pressure sale. It started with how to buy and sell real estate. Some information was interesting but the rest was all about buying into going to their 3 day seminar for a low cost of only $ 2000. Then while we ate, the next pitch on how to invest your money came with another pressure sell to attend their seminar for $ 500. Finally the 3^rd pitch came on how to buy tax lien properties by attending another seminar for only $ 300. If that was not enough while they were smuzing the poor attendees who fell for the whole thing hook line and sinker we were left waiting to get our promised free MP3 players while still having to listen to another sell on if we did not buy into any of the other 3 seminars we could still get a DVD of ½ of the first day of the 3 day presentation for another $ 20. Once it was all over at 4 pm they handed MP3 players (you can buy for $ 3 yourself) and and there was no mention of the computer that was to the first 50 to sign up. Needless to say by the end most people were super mad, tired, and felt like there were duped and wasted 4 hours of their time. Also I sat next to a man who’s wife was in hospice and had a reverse mortgage on his home and they were still trying to get his money. Really they were not professional at all. It was all a scam to get your money. Your time is more valuable than a sandwich.

Went to a seminar in Virginia Beach, Virginia because of the promise of a Kindle Fire Stick. Nowhere in the information does it say you need to bring $ 2000 for a 3 day retreat. If I had $ 2000 I wouldn’t be spending it for 3 days indoors. I’ve learned a lesson about being cheap. The Kindle Fire Stick is only $ 39 and I now know that my time is worth more than me trying to save the $ 39 by going to this seminar. If you have $ 2000 and 3 days it sounds like a nice program, but I can’t attest to the 3 day retreat. DON’T GO. Not only was the cheap gift a toy camera, when asked about the Kindle Fire Stick, I was told «oh they change»

I attended Scott Yancey seminar yesterday at the Sheraton Reston. I didn’t believe on anything that they talked about. It sounded like a big scam and yet people don’t get it. The guy keeps repeating things over and over again. I think they are just after peoples money. I decide to leave after the break, when they were telling people to sign up. It looks like a set up, maybe their own people signing up to make it looks like there were people signing up. Some people got up and left, including me.

I say if you don’t want to do it its your loss. I had a great time at the seminar and am eager to go on to learn more. I was impressed with the depth of knowledge the trainers had about real estate and the industry. They mean business and want to help you with yours. I felt very secure and confident with trusting them to help me plan my future. I’m not a TV girl let alone reality TV so I don’t watch much of the Yancey’s show. But the methods he uses really do work and I believe they can work for me too.

Do your homework on these schmucks. Attended one of the seminars and the negative review are the honest consumer reviews.
This couple should by law required to be off the air on tv and sent to court for their bait and switch tactics to lure consumers into their web of meaningless promotional
tactics.
Avoid avoid and report them to the better business bureau ! Real shisters!

I’m an investor in real estate! I never thought I would say that, but after attending this event I now realize that I will make money now, and prepare for my future at the same time. The trainers were spot on, knowledgeable, and were very educated about real estate investing. Thanks to Scott and Amie Yancey for developing this training seminar. You guys have truly changed our lives. I was worth our time and I know it will be worth yours too.

The Steve Yancey project about real estate is a hoax. The presenter will even tell you that the reviews on Unilocal are made up. I assure you they are not made up. He will tell you how it is big business to trash companies on Unilocal and then charge companies $ 50,000 to the negative reviews down. I live in the San Francisco area and know people that work for Unilocal and was told its a lie. Nobody gets paid to take down any reviews.
I just attended a three-​day in Berkeley California at the LaQuinta Inn. They go on and on about how these events are usually at high-​end hotels. The one in Berkeley is anything but a high-​end hotel.
It’s a three day hard sales pitch, seriously you learn nothing. All they do for three days is attempt to convince you that you need more training that cost close to $ 69,000. Basically you spend $ 2000 and are told for three days are you need to invest in more training. They keep referring to property Pro software. Deals cannot be done without property Pro software. Do participants get property pro at the end of the three day? No participants must spend more money to get it.
On the first day the presenter has everybody’s spend about 30 minutes calling their credit card company to attempt to raise their credit line. If people don’t have credit they are encouraged to go to credit
and check their credit scores and apply for offers. They want The participants to have high credit limits so they could pay for the additional training on day three. They even tell you your credit score doesn’t matter, so ridiculous. One of the advisers, I think is what they call them, was encouraging me to participate in activities that would be lower my credit score.
It was so sad to see how many minorities were in the room. Mostly the room consisted of African-​Americans and Latin Americans. So sad that Yancey and Company what attempt to get money from people that appear desperate. So sad that Yancey thinks minorities are so desperate for money they will just Max out their credit cards and give their money away to Yancey and his team. This is a new kind of Racial profiling.
The amount of valuable information presented could consist of about one hour or less. The presenter repeats the same thing time and time again. It is the most organized form of brainwashing I have ever witnessed. I met with my advisor/​personal coach, as the Yancey people call him, and I could not sit through the group presentation. The presentation was horrible, I would give it a negative scores if possible. The presenter is useless. He is dressed nice. The words he says go against every single thing human beings are taught. The presenter offers nothing useful at all and it is a total waste of time, money, and is just a way for them to get $ 1000 per person.
Do not waste your money with this program. I am real, I am not made up, and I am not getting any money for posting this negative review, nor am I going to get any money for removing this negative review.
Again I can’t stress enough, this is a waste of your money, your time, your energy, and any excitement that you have waiting to go to your three-​day was surely disappear very quickly on Friday morning. My coach, my mentor want whatever it is Yancey and Company call the one on one person we meet with, told me he has never seen anybody make one deal without advanced training. This is his words. If you plan to spend about $ 69,000, I’m sure you can make some money over some period of time. I was NEVER told and given information how to access funds to do deals as promised in the free presentation.
In order for this to be successful participants need to know a lawyer, a realtor, a rehabber, and know individuals that are willing to approach people and buy their house from them for way less than the house is worth.

I am a full time real estate investor and attended 1 of the free seminars and completed some research. Bottom line is this is another cookie cutter seminar formulated to take your money with no support or incentive for them to make sure you are successful. If you want success in any business especially real estate investing you should find a local real estate mentor. As an experienced investor I have heard the same from other successful investors. None of these seminar companies who travel from hotel to hotel care about your success. These Yancey seminars will run their course and walk away with as much of your hard earned money as they can. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Their techniques and strategies are dated and scripted. The disingenuous pitchmen can be compared to the used car salesmen stereotype. No offense to used car salesmen, just trying to make a point.

I left this event knowing I was going to invest in real estate because I was educated with the tools to become successful. I have to thank the well-​educated trainers at the event for helping me see that I can actually have positive returns on my investments! The trainers taught me how the real estate industry works and how to get positive returns on my investments. Thanks Scott Yancey, this event was definitely worth attending

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional, I arrived to one of his conferences 1 minute late and they told me there was no room. Not only that but I already paid for parking and called ahead for my seat!!! So unprofessional, they kept telling people there was no room, when there were empty chairs. He is just interested in people’s money, don’t waste your time!

I received the junk mail invitation to the seminar with a promise of a camera for everyone and an ipad for the first 50. I called immediately to rsvp (didn’t really have any interest in joining or buying whatever they were selling, but also included a meal at a nice hotel where I know the food is good and I figured, what the heck. cheap date night with hubby. lol) So rsvp’d, they didn’t mention the ipad, but said we’d get a camera and also a bonus $ 100 gift card as a thank you, sounds good. They didn’t say I’d need to bring or do anything special at that point, just made my rsvp.
When we arrived we sat in rows of chairs and the first speaker started speaking and explained that he’d talk for 2 hours, then we’d get a 10 minute break, then we’d be served dinner while the second speaker came up. At this point I know every guest in that room thought «where are we going to eat? on our laps?!» And also thought, it’s already 6pm, I really didn’t know we wouldn’t be eating for 2 more hours or I would have eaten before we left. So we sat through 2 boring hours of them trying to sell you a 3 day seminar (oh for the upcoming weekend… like we all have 3 days off with no notice even if we did want to go) for $ 2000, then dinner was served. They passed out individual boxes to each guest (again we still don’t have a table… we’re eating on our laps.) What was in the box? A turkey sandwich, bag of chips, piece of fruit and a cookie. There were drinks at the back of the room that they never announced and I didn’t know until the end. Oh my gosh… Sooo. the next presenter spoke another hour or so about ANOTHER whole different business opportunity for an additional $ 1500. RME! Finally after 3 ½ boring (and painful hours of sitting in one place for so long) they were thanking us and congratulating «those brave enough and smart enough to ‘get it’ and change your lives» (oh brother) and for those who don’t «get it» can pick up your gifts at the back. So we walk through, get a cd (trying to sell us MORE) and a piece of paper saying we can request our camera. What? On the invitation it says a camera will be given, not a piece of paper to request a camera… more and more b.s. Then I asked about the $ 100 gift card, they said I need a special paper or something for that, but I didn’t have one. I said no one told me I’d need one, they just told me on the phone I’d get it. After going around and around with the guys there, they said I’d have to call them to discuss, so I stood to the side and called them right there. The person I spoke with said she didn’t know anything about it and customer service, of course, wasn’t there. Funny enough, as we were leaving I passed a woman who had found that gift card paper but she didn’t want it so gave it to us, so then we went in and got our «gift card»…another joke!
We went online to activate it and basically it gives you a 10−50% discount on something you want to buy, but the discount will be up to $ 100 total. For example-​a shirt that costs $ 40, we get a $ 10 discount so we’re only paying $ 30. Which means that we spent $ 10 of our gift card money and have to pay out of pocket the other $ 30. Um no. We compared item numbers with other sites and found that even with the discount we’re paying up to 25% MORE than if buying it directly from the home company or a store. We also went online and requested our cameras… we’ll see what they turns out to be… probably another joke if we get them at all.
So our «date night» turned into a sandwich, chips and a sore bum for sitting bored for 4 hours. Oh well. Live and learn. Not like it cost us anything but time and now we have a funny «horror story» of a date night. lol But it does make me realize if THIS is how they do business, I sure as heck don’t want to give them any money for anything.

I have been slowly investing in single family homes since 2005 and I decided to attended a free seminar in Torrance, CA recently to see if I could pick up a couple of good tips or learn about different markets. Scott himself was not present, of course. This first presenter, «Trent» provided some very basic strategies about a few flip concepts.
The «meat» of the highly scripted and staged presentation is ongoing promotion of a $ 2,000 three-​day seminar. Based on further research on my part, I learned that the $ 2,000 seminar is basically a sales pitch for $ 20K to $ 40K worth of «additional training» and «mentoring.» All of the success stories that they described came from these people who bought these additional materials or training. I believe that this is horribly deceptive, misleading and unethical and it seems like they are preying on the unsophisticated and the elderly. The address and phone in this listing cannot be found on their website. Hmmmm…
What really confused me was their «no credit» loan process. There were no details on how this really works, and there are zero opportunities for questions or discussion from the audience. The communication was all one-​way, well crafted and tightly controlled.
The tax liens presentation was interesting, but it had a $ 1,500 «membership» for access. The presenter was one of the slickest guys I have ever seen. I’m a marketing professional myself, but I was just marveling at his presentation style. I just looked up my 401K. I’ve been doing 12.52% since 2009 with pre-​tax dollars, so I don’t know how much an 18% lien with after-​tax dollars really beats that. I left after about 3−½ hours, losing out on my «free gifts» in the process.
