Planet Mazda

Please avoid. Told me they would give me $ 20k for trade then only gave $ 18.500 and put 1,500 into my loan. They Are very deceptive. Very unethical.
There are two other Mazda dealers in Las Vegas, a few dollars in gas will save you thousands of dollars.
They guaranteed one thing, I will have my Mazda serviced elsewhere and will never ever purchase even a gum ball from them. I recommend Henderson Mazda, they just gave me free license plate frames so I can remove the Planet Mazda ones.

I went Saturday after work to look at a 2014 Corolla. When I got there everything went great. Salesman Mike was fast and courteous and got me financed with a reasonable down payment amount for my credit. This is my first new ish car and I love it!!! It drives smooth and they cleaned it really well for me! The only down fall was it didn’t have any floor mats but easy fix for me. The payments are affordable and I’ll be able to refinance and hopefully get it paid off faster. Mike and Logan were fast with the whole process. The only negative I have to say is I wish things would’ve been explained alittle more into detail.

I came to Planet Mazda over a year ago off of a referral from someone I knew at Buick. They were great, worked with my credit and got me into a car I was so happy about. Fast forward to October of this year, I connect with the same sales people who sold me my car and refer my fiancé there. We go in, get him a car, and it’s all gravy. We’re told that as soon as the sale of the trade in goes through, we’ll have a referral check waiting here to be picked up. Now it’s November and December and I’ve heard nothing from the dealership. I call, email, and leave messages, only to be told that «someone will call you back». Not entirely concerned, seeing as how I’ve never had a problem, I give it a couple more weeks. Today, I’m told that there isn’t even a record of a referral being done. So I’m trying to explain who we talked to, what day we were there, and who the salesperson was. Well, the salesperson is no longer working there and no one believes me even though I could tell them every single step of the sale that day. They tell me that they can’t just go off of my word even though I had all the facts. And tell me that they had already told me this previously that I was not going to get a referral check. Well I would not have gone there twice to buy a car if I would’ve known this was the type of service I would receive. Unfortunately I’m in a lease for a bit longer and I’m sure they’ll screw me at the end. Hope no one else goes here, for the hassle isn’t worth it.

Buying a car was a good experience but Service department is totally the opposite. It’s not only training what they need, specially Becky… Customer service standards require more than a smile and not even that I was provided. WORST SERVICE EVER.

I’m very impressed with Planet Mazda’s sales and management team. I have used their service department for awhile and really like working with Matt. He gets the best deal possible for me every time I come in for a service. When my husband got in a car accident and we unexpectedly needed to get another vehicle, he introduced me to the sales team. I mainly worked with Bob, and his manager Beth. Bob is very understanding and listened to our requests (not pushy). When he didn’t have a car on the lot that my husband wanted (he INSISTED on a stick shift), Beth found a car that had just barely arrived on the truck, that she sent him for a test drive in. There were only TWO Mazda 3’s GT that were stick shift in the entire valley, and when my hubby got in the car, we knew it was a done deal. He is 30 years old and literally ran into hug Beth like a little kid after he drove it. It’s not often that a car speaks to you like that, but this one did.
They gave us a very fair price on the vehicle, one that we could afford and even offered to give us a high trade in value for the wrecked vehicle. When we ran into issues with the insurance company regarding the totaling of the vehicle, Beth offered to let us do a down payment instead of a trade in value so we could pocket the insurance money, so they are letting us come in to redo paperwork.
I have never worked with such honest, friendly and fair people at a dealership before. We will definitely be purchasing future vehicles from them, and referring our friends and family. If you are interested in Mazda, this is the dealership to purchase from.

I just recently had the worst experience dealing with Logan Smith in their finance department. In all my years I’ve never been talked down to and treated so poorly as a customer in my life. Nobody seems to have any power to help you or make a decision to offer a fair deal also? I am not impressed at all and I will tell everyone I know to never buy a car from this dealership. Be careful not to finance through them. Go to a bank or credit union before stepping foot into this dealership with your own funding. They will call you two weeks after you think you bought a car at a good interest rate and try to make you sign a new contract after running your credit 20 times at a higher rate to get a kick back. Lesson learned with that sneaky trick. Nothing but greedy games and they won’t sell a new car at a good price either due to their ridiculous side stickers for overpriced garbage nobody really wants or needs. Beware of Planet Mazda!

I purchased a new 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback several months ago and have been back to this dealership three times for scheduled service appointments. I really hate that the messages I leave on their phones never get returned – especially when it’s still during business hours! Jag has been the one to assist me TWO of those times and both times his customer service has been sub par at best. I’ll provide two examples of this lackluster service. 1) I asked if he could make sure that my car gets a wash afterwards and he tells me (very tersely) that if it rains they won’t be able to give me a wash. Firstly, it got a little cooler today but I don’t see any storm clouds, so what’s this BS you’re touting? You can at least say this with a smile or something. 2) I parked my car in the spaces marked «SERVICE» and not even 30 seconds after stepping into he building Jag just tells me to get out there and bring my car up to the front door. Here’s my gripe with this: Matt H. did not feel like it was a problem to get my vehicle himself last time I was here. Also, why couldn’t Jag try to at least sound a little apologetic for sending me right back out the doors? All I got was, «Uh, haven’t you been here before?» I wanted to say, Yes sir I have and I’ve been treated better before.
Becky on the hand has been great.
To the management team, you better keep a closer eye on your employees because I doubt I’m the only one with issues. Being someone who has been in service careers in the past I’m not one to complain much, let alone write a negative review. I’m just hoping someone will find this little piece of criticism constructive so that my experience with the service and maintenance team will be better.

This dealership is a must-​avoid. In my purchasing experience here, I was constantly called/​emailed, harassed about opening an email that cut a salesperson’s commission cost, and was offered a deal that was above an internet price. There is a reason there lot is always full, no one comes to buy cars here. Go to the dealerships next door for a better experience.

Brought my car to get a nail out of the tire.
I called made an appointment when I got there they told me I do not have a appointment. The blond lady from service has the worst customer service possible she was rolling her eyes at me and making faces.
You people need to get it together and fire this person.
Dealing with upset clients is part of customer service.
And resolving issues.
Very dissapointed to have spent $ 23 000 in this place and receive bad service.

Wow!!! What a great experience. I don’t usually leave feedback on Unilocal but I felt it needed to be done. Matthew Haverkamp was a true expert in Customer service. He was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. He was very honest about everything. I will definitely recommend planet Mazda to anyone. Thank for everything Matthew. I’ll be in to see you again.

Mazda does not stand behind their product. Mazda will not honor there warranty on brand new cars. Buyer beware.

I have been having my car serviced at this Mazda since I moved to Las Vegas. I’ve had Jag as my attendant since the beginning and he’s always provided good service. Always quick to respond and return calls. Today I brought my car in and was helped by Matt (Jag was helping someone else). Matt has literally the best customer service I have experience (especially at a car dealership where they are notorious for screwing people). Now this review is simply based on these two because I can’t say the same for a lady that I spoke with on the phone. I am for sure staying with Matt as my guy. He was helpful, quick, honest, and I didn’t feel like I was being cheated. I’m very surprised he doesn’t have a higher position because that is the way people should and want to be treated at a dealership. So, good job Mazda, you are lucky to have two great workers!
My services have always been quick and good qualirt as well, so the back of house is doing great too!

My boyfriend bought a Mazda 3 Touring 2 months ago and about 4 weeks in, it started melting! First the front bumper and now the mirrors. When we tried to call to take the car in, we were told we had to come in when the manager was there as he is the only one who can look at it. Mind you, we bought the extended warranty and were told that at any time, if there were any problems, we only had to bring it in. We are trying to take it in today and he called while he was on his way there. He was told they couldnt take the car as the manager isnt there! When he told them what he was promised, the woman that answered the phone responded to this fact that she couldnt help what the salesmen say. Now, we are going to have to take time and energy out of our lives to try and get them to abide by the warranty. Don’t buy a Mazda. This has not happened with our other cars – its crazy. And if it doesnt melt, god forbid the manager ever gets sick or goes on vacation because, apparently, the while department shuts down.

Best car shopping experience I ever had. Negotiating a price was fast and they were very accommodating. If looking for a Mazda or any Japanese car make sure you check out Planet Mazda. Sell your trade in at Carmax which is only ½ mile away.

*****SCAM SCAM SCAM********** I will never do business with a company like this. I was contemplating on buying a mazda cx 5 and one day I got a phone call informing me that if I took a test drive at Planet Mazda that I would receive a free tablet. So I set up an appointment to go look at the cx-5’s and test drive one. After I test drove one I was informed as long as I filled out a credit check and put in an offer that I would receive my tablet. I did both of the following and then was told that they ran out of vouchers for the tablet and to put my name down on a sheet and 4 – 6 weeks one would be mailed to me. This was on nov 10, 2014. I called on December 22, 2014 to speak to a manager and was informed that the promotion was outsourced and they would call them. As of feb 26, 2015 still no tablet or any kind of follow up from planet Mazda. If they treat customers like this over a tablet I can only imagine what else they are going to do! I will never step foot in this place again nor will I ever do business with a company like this. I hope they read their reviews also, because this is not how you handle customer service. Just because I didn’t buy a car from you that day didn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about it or planning towards the future. You weren’t able to give me the price I could afford for the mazda cx 5 so I wasn’t able to purchase a car, doesn’t mean you don’t hold up your end of the deal! Horrible horrible customer service and a sleezy way to run a dealership! Just sad!

Needless to say I just purchased a brand new car in July 2015 and steered clear from this dealership! Maybe next time they will learn how to treat their customers. It anyone is looking for an excellent deal on an excellent vehicle with no gimmick and

I have bought 2 cars from Planet Mazda on Sahara. First one was back in July of 2013. Bought a brand new 2013 Mazdaspeed3. My salesman back then was Harvey Reynolds. He was an amazing, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. I was told he no longer worked there which was unfortunate. This time around, my fiancée and I went looking for a new Mazda for her. We were already sold on getting her the CX-​5, but wanted to go take a look at them. Upon arriving we meet our salesman Omar Soto. He did an awesome job. Very comfortable and easy to talk to, even had a few things in common. He showed us a couple of the Mazda CX-​5. We told him we were only there to look but after checking them out, we decided to test drive one. When we got back, although we weren’t looking to purchase that day, we decided to go through some paperwork. After going back and forth a little, we were introduced to the Sales Manager (Julian?), whose name I cannot remember right now. He was top notch. Great guy and helped us tremendously to come to an agreement. After shaking some hands, and my fiancée ringing the bell, we then sat and met with the finance guy (Tyler?) who was another top notch guy. Wish I could have remembered all of their names to give them the credit they deserve. I never felt pressured by any of them.
All in all, overall it was a great experience with everyone I worked with that day (02÷07÷15). No complaints about anything. Facilities were well taken cared of and it was a very hassle-​free environment. I plan on referring anyone interested in looking to buy a vehicle, especially a Mazda, to come here.
Thanks again to everyone, especially Omar Soto, our salesman, who had to follow me home and drive the new car home since my Fiancée didn’t have her license. Very generous thing to do.

This is what they sent my husband in a hand addressed envelope with no return address on it. Please see photo of letter to someone named «Hop Hopkins.» It seems to be a memo or email to a car salesman asking for my car specifically. It is a gimmick to get me to come in to planet Mazda and trade in my car. An older person may think this is a legitimate offer. I don’t like this type of advertising practice.

Following a bad experience with another local Mazda dealership, I took my Mazda CX-​5 here for service. There was no hassle getting my free oil change service which was included when I purchased the car. I’ve had bad experiences at a different local Mazda dealership, but the staff here were courteous and professional, and I have absolutely no complaints.
They’ve earned my future business, and I will certainly be back again.

Beware of the service advisor he is a big liar
Tryed to say i needed 3000 in repairs said i needed brakes roters and 4 engine mounts u name it he wrote all kinds of bullshit so i went to me regular mechanic he said my brake drums were dusty so they were squeaking he cleaned them for 50 dollars and said i habe at least 20 000 mikes left on them so he is a big liar shame on you hope someone kicks your ass loser good luck ripping people off u will get yours see you soon liar

DON’T go for the Groupon oil change.
I purchased an oil change deal on Groupon: 3 oil changes for $ 22.00. Good deal considering I usually pay $ 20+ for just one oil change at Terrible Herbst. I called Planet Mazda to make the appointment and was told «if you come on a Saturday you’ll have a three hour wait. Come on a weekday and we can get you in and out much faster.» I scheduled for a Thursday morning because I wasn’t in any position to drop off my car for 3 hours.
So I dropped off my car and the technician was super friendly and helpful. He showed me to the lobby/​waiting area which was clean, inviting, had the local news on the tv, water & coffee and even donuts from Krispy Kreme.
I was told it would be about an hour, which seemed a bit long for an oil change as I was the first customer of the day. No problem, I had a full charge on my phone and lots of emails to review. But one hour turned to two hours and three. By the third, I was annoyed.
When they were almost done, the technician came to the lobby to inform me they were finishing up. He told me that they recommended a new belt (which I expected) and that my power steering fluid was leaking. To be clear: I know my car very well. I’ve taken very good care of it for it’s entire «life». I check the fluid levels at every gas fill up. I knew for a fact that I had no leaks whatsoever.
When I called him out on his inaccuracy, he stammered a bit, seemingly surprised that I knew my stuff. He shrugged it off with «well it’s your car and your choice but it’s my recommendation you have it repaired.» For the belt replacement they wanted $ 280 and for the power steering repair $ 415. Nope.
I waited another 45 minutes for them to finish up and wash the car (which wasn’t needed as I had washed it the day before). So at this point, I had been there for nearly 4 hours & was told I needed almost $ 700 in repairs.
When the car was ready, no one came to tell me. I was tiring of waiting so I walked over to the service desk to see it parked and waiting for me. I checked out and received my keys. The car looked horrible: water spots and streaks on the windows. They didn’t do me any favors by washing it.
The following day, I picked up a belt at Auto Zone for $ 20 and took my car over to Aamco (there is a review by me for them too). They switched out the belt for $ 45 and finished in 15 minutes.
I decided that I won’t be redeeming the other two oil changes I purchased through groupon and will definitely not return to Planet Mazda ever again.
