Specialties

Pigeons and their feces can spread disease and cause HVAC damage and premature roof replacement. Pigeons Be Gone specializes in the removal of pigeons and their nesting areas by pressure washing and disinfecting the areas. After the cleaning process we then apply deterents to make it impossible for pigeons to re nest in the treated areas. Pigeons Be Gone will apply a 2×2 inch steel screen to prevent pigeons from nesting inside of eaves and under a.c. units. We offer a Lifetime Guarantee that pigeons won’t be able to nest inside of the screened areas again. We also can install bird spikes to ledges to prevent pigeons from roosting in hard to screen areas. We offer a manufacturer guarantee of 5 years for bird spikes.

History

Established in 1998.

Pigeons Be Gone was started by UNLV graduate Michael Gardner out of the need for pigeon control at his Las Vegas residence. After searching for a competent company that could get rid of the nesting pigeons he found that companies couldn’t offer a guarantee to keep the pigeons off of his roof, but were still willing to take his money. After taking care of his own house and several neighbors that were in need of the same service he decided to hold off on using his degree in Hotel management and start a pigeon control company. We are proud to say that to this day the first house that Pigeons Be Gone worked on is still pigeon free and we are proud to be the only company in Las Vegas with a Lifetime Guarantee!

In my experience as a small business owner I have found that it is essential to be 100% honest with future customers, even if that means that I won’t get the job. I would rather tell a customer they can solve the pigeon problem themselves by removing a food source like dog food or speak to the neighbor about fixing the spa that pigeons are drinking out of instead of unnecessarily lining the roof with bird spikes. So embarrassing but I found myself with a pigeon issue. I had two of them living right above my doorway. I didn’t want to hurt them but they couldn’t seem to compromise and go take of their business somewhere else and I was not going to tolerate my doorway constantly covered with bird crap. So I found Pigeons Be Gone thanks to my fellow helpers. I gave the a call and left a message. I really wasn’t expecting a call back that day since it was Sunday but Mike called me back promptly and after explaining the situation gave me a quote. He even offered to come out that day but I was out and about so we scheduled for the next day. He came out and assessed the situation and unfortunately my roof is weird and it was going to be more work than he originally anticipated. He was very kind and still honored the original quote. He was very thorough and concerned if I was going to be upset with how it looked because instead of just screening off the area I was going to need a ton of spikes. I told him I didn’t mind. After all, anything is better than looking at piles of bird dung everywhere right? He assured me that the spikes wouldn’t hurt my flying rats and that it just made it uncomfortable so they would eventually go somewhere else. So far so good! Haven’t seen them since. Hopefully they made a nice little home at the park somewhere. Hopefully, I won’t be needing his services again but I will definitely recommend to any friends in need.

I have been very impressed by Pigeons Be Gone. Right before our wedding, we had a pigeon emergency. Our entire backyard was covered with poop and we had a lot of out of town guests coming to see our new house for the first time. Mike came over right away and pressure washed everything. It looked as good as new. He carefully evaluated our home and neighborhood, then told us which tactics would work best for our situation. He did not try to sell us on unnecessary services in order to increase his own profit. He ended up screening the roof to prevent nesting and gave us advice on how to prevent more pigeons from returning. We had some follow-​up questions after the service was completed, and he was very responsive and knowledgeable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can’t speak highly enough about him and his work.

I had called Mike in the morning and he was over within the hour and took care of everything the same day!
Talking with Mike over the phone I could tell that he was very confident. He knows that he provides quality service. He was able to provide a quote over the phone… after I explained where the pigeons were hanging out, the description of our home and he looking at our home on google or yahoo maps.
He is professional, friendly and polite.
He cleaned up after himself.
He did a great job! I highly recommend giving them a call. You will be glad that you did.
****EVERY weekend (for the past year or so) my husband and I would complain about how disgusting the pigeons were and that we really needed to get rid of them… I wish I would have called sooner!!! What a relief.

Mike is a hard working true professional. I knew right away when I spoke to him on the phone and he gave me a quote by looking at my house on yahoo maps he knew what he was doing.
We had 7 pigeons living on our roof, and it was becoming a horrible problem. What a mess, my kids couldn’t sleep in the morning with all the noise. Mike was even able to find dog food up on the roof, and determine that the neighbors dog food had been left outside and the pigeons were eating it.
It cost $ 500 plus and he took care of everything. Cleaned the mess, put up spikes, and solid mesh wire. I have not seen or heard from another pigeon since! I even talked to our neighbor about storing the dog food inside.
I called, and he was here and installed all of this in the SAME day!
Great price, better guy! Highly recommended!

I didn’t use this company because their quotation over the phone was over $ 1,500 after giving the address and a brief description of the situation. The 2nd estimate from another company (with on site inspection) was $ 500. The problem wasn’t that bad and I finally got a handyman to install spikes + water spraying the roof for a total of $ 100 (material from Homedepot included). I haven’t seen a pigeon for almost 2 years now…
Shop around people. $ 1500 for what??? The service call was in the spring and they mentioned something like warranty and potential free 2nd visit… i was shocked to see other reviews. To be fair, the man on the phone was professional.

I first found Mike’s website to be very educational and my first phone call with him confirmed that he was the one to use for our ongoing pigeon issues. He is professional and thorough and spent a great deal of time explaining what he would do after evaluating our home as well as the neighbor’s contribution to the pigeon problem. He also spent time talking to our neighbor and the solution at that house as well as our own has solved the problem. We no longer have pigeons. I have and would highly recommend Pigeons Be Gone and I think Mike is exceptional.

I was extremely impressed with Mike.
First off, he just seems like a good person. Really outgoing and knowledgeable. As far as the job, he got back to my estimate request quickly, showed up right when he said he would, presented me with a written bid before anything, took time to explain all about pigeons and why they were there, and talked through exactly what he was going to do and how long he thought it would take. After he was done I walked out to see a very clean and quality job well done. A couple bonus details worth mentioning: he painted the fencing white to blend better with the house, and cleaned and pressure washed everything.
Afterwards he explained in further detail everything he had done and taught me even more about pigeon behavior. I feel a little bit like an expert now… just kidding, but I’m excited I can seem like one in front of friends by dropping random facts. Also worth mentioning, I learned that in his free time he helps his wife out with her animal welfare organization. Again, all signs point towards good person.
After he left I thought that was the end of it, but then a week or two later he called to make sure everything was still ok. Top notch. All in all a great experience.

I am a bit embarrassed to say Pigeons Be Gone was the 3rd company we hired to get rid of our pigeons. Initially we called them, but found a better deal, or so we thought!
If we would have gone with Pigeons Be Gone 1st, we could have saved ourselves about $ 500 and not had to jerk around with those stupid birds for months.
It has been about 2 months since having Mike out to put up screens and the pigeons are GONE!
Pigeons Be Gone was timely, courteous, professional and did exactly what they said they will.

I don’t know if you can find someone to do the job for cheaper but for sure you can’t find someone to do it better simply because there is no way to be done better. In my case the roof looked like new after the job was done.
Mike from PigeonBeGone was very responsive, very knowledgable and easy to talk to. He started working on my house the very next day, documented his work and the job he did was outstanding.

I had a serious pigeon problem for years with occasional flocks of pigeons roosting on my house, drinking out of the pool, and crapping all over the place. I finally got fed up and called Pigeons Be Gone. The service was quick and extremely effective. Within two weeks we had trapped and removed 160 pigeons from my roof. I paid for cleaning and netting to prevent those nasty creatures from returning, and it was money well spent. Mike, the owner, was friendly, polite, and overall extremely pleasant. I give Pigeons Be Gone my highest recommendation.
