Las Vegas Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

After years of searching for a good dentist we finally found one! My entire family comes here. The staff is so polite and professional, always answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. We are always able to get fast appointments and the wait is never long once we arrive. My boys are happy campers when we leave and we certainly don’t mind coming back for their next dentist appointments. Highly recommend this dental office for your family of all ages!

Don’t know that I’ve ever been to a dentist that has such attention to detail. All of the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed.
My husband is in the process of extensive work (owwww!), and the staff and doctors have done wonderous things for him.
Every single staff member, dentist, hygienist, office person, has been beyond friendly and professional. So flexible with appointments as well. I travel extensively and have had to make a few changes to existing appointments and was accommodated without any complaint at all.
My own experience, I love when I’m actually listened to. I absolutely DESPISE novocaine, and asked if, during a deep cleaning, I could try not using it. They complied without a problem, further telling me if that, at any point if I felt I DID need it that it’d be ok to get it then.
It is a bit pricey, but in my opinion, you absolutely get what you pay for here. Some things are worth not going on the cheap, and my choppers fall into that category.

If you are looking for a great Orthodontist I recommend Dr. Beckstrom. He is great with kids! He is very patient and takes his time with patients and parents. Also, the Benefits Coordinator Desiree is very friendly and also great with kids!

Spent over 2300 bucks here. I had no mouth pain, but definitely needed some work. I hate two crowns done on my back teeth. Freeman didn’t know how to size or fit the crowns. He even shaved my tooth on top cause he couldn’t fit the crown which was set below. I had to return two times after the fact because the crown didn’t fit AND my gum in the back was creeping over the crown. Which he then lazered away. The staff is nice enough which clouds judgment over the quality of work. I say get your 59 $ cleaning and don’t go back. After I came back a third time due to mouth pain which mind you I did not have before setting foot in that office… They tried to reach further into my pocket and send me off to a specialist. Simply because the dentist could not admit he fit the crown poorly. Don’t waist your time and money. You pay for what you get.

I went in about a month ago because one of my teeth was bothering me and causing pain all through my jaw and face. It had been a long time since I have gone to the dentist & I needed a new one. so I picked this place because they took my insurance, it was close to home & because of the Unilocal reviews. I figured I needed a root canal. I got the x-​Rays and exam, and told the doctor what was going on. She said it sounded like a sinus infection. I only needed one cavity filled. or it could be caused from grinding my teeth at night, and suggested I get a custom made night guard ($ 250 through them) and scheduled me to come back for a deep cleaning. Not satisfied with how the visit went & the amount of pain I was still in when I left, I went to quick care. They couldn’t figure out what was the matter either. thought it was an upper respiratory infection of some sort so they prescribed an antibiotic. Thank god they did. Come to find out, through my own research and symptom check through web md I have a dental abcess. Wednesday I went to a different dentist who explained to me that it’s from a failing root canal that was done over 8 years ago. He wrote another perception for an antibiotic and referred me to a specialist. Hoping to get in as soon as possible before it gets any worse. But My question is… why on gods green earth did the 1^st dentist at Las Vegas modern dentistry not see what was going on & dismiss my symptoms as if it was nothing?! So much for «modern» dentistry. I’m scared to death that this abcess infection might spread somewhere else before I can get into the specialist and if the 1^st dentist would have taken the time to look deeper into my symptoms I probably could have taken care of this last month when it started! I will NEVER go back here I will make sure none of my friends or family ever go here and I should send them the bill for my expenses that could have been avoided if they would have taken care of the problem to begin with.

I have read all the reviews and I must say that I had the best experience in a dental office. My wisdom tooth was giving me pain and the company that I work for does not have dental insurance… (UGH). I called several dental offices on July 17 around 1:30 — 2:00pm and told them how much pain I was in and was turned away. It was too late to see me. I accidentally called Las Vegas Modern Dentistry thinking it was another density office. I spoke with the girl over the phone and told her what dental office I was looking for. The one that I was looking for was in the same shopping complex. The girl was very helpful and gave me the name of the dental office that I was looking for. She told me to call her back if the other dental office couldn’t help me. So I called the other dental office and got turned away again. I called Las Vegas Modern Dentistry right back and explain my situation. They told me that if I could be in the office by 3:00 they could see me. I explain that I didn’t have dental insurance and I was afraid what the cost must be. She heard how much pain I was in and put me on a short hold. She come back and told me that we could do a payment plan. I left right then n there! When I got there, they were very helpful all the way through. They did the x-​ray first to see what they needed to do. Then they went over all the payment options for before they did anything to me. Anna To and her staff was awesome in every way! Thank you LVMD… You guys are awesome! I will definitely recommend you to everyone!

Yesterday was my first visit. My 18y. o son had a cleaning and he really liked the place and staff was very friendly. My daughter is only 11y. o and scared of dentists for a previous bad experience, she cried a little with the shots but overall she is happy and told me she really likes Dr. Tod and wants to have her other teeth fixed here. We have her second appointment in two weeks. Thank you Dr. Tod.

Dentist is good! Please give reminders about our appointments… Email, phone, and more… My wife isn’t too happy about that… Other than that, close and convenient…

I will never go to another dentist again!!! This place is so friendly, so time efficient, professional, and so caring. I used to dread going to the dentist, but here I know I’ll be taken care of quick and painless!!(:

Absolutely LOVE this dental office!!! This is the first time that I’ve experienced the doctor just come in and chat with you to get to know you (and allow you to get to know them) before the exam. Their level of customer service is superb, and what I like most about it is the pediatric dentist next door. I felt assured that my child was in good hands having his exam done (on his own) while I was getting my exam done. (NOTE: I definitely wouldn’t suggest same time appointments for parent and kid if your child has never been acclimated to dental visits). See you all in six months!

I am extremely afraid of dentist, but Dr. Freeman is amazing I didn’t have any pain. I would highly recommend Fr. Freeman. His staff are all wonderful, they are so friendly and make you feel comfortable
I had to have root canal and crowns done, on my first appointment my blood pressure was so high from being afraid he couldn’t do any work on me. I made another appointment and I was able to stay calm and he was so incredibly understanding and made sure I was numb so I wouldn’t feel pain, the worst pain I felt was him numbing the back side of of my teeth. He has a cad/​cam for making crows which makes beautiful teeth, you can have crowns done during visit and don’t have to have a temporary and go back for the crown it is done in one visit. If you are looking for a good dentist he is the one you want

Very friendly staff and professional. They not only have done work for me but for my kids and family. If your looking for a good dentist please consider using them. It’s refreshing to walk into there office and have friendly staff. And the Doctor are very professional. And there hygienist is very kind and takes the extra steps to make sure you are comfortable and explained every detail of each step she’s taking.

Brought my kids to MyKids dentist. Fast and friendly staff. Everyone made use comfortable, desiree at the desk was awesome in explaining benefits to us, Victor the dentist assistant was awesome with our kids. Dr lamb was nice and friendly to our kids and explained to us what to do and not to do. Love this place. Will recommend this to friends and family.

I have never been treated with such disregard by a dentist office in my 44 years of life on this earth. I want to immediately follow that statement up with the fact that I am not a new patient of this office and have had several visits so the reason and manner for which I was treated today was totally uncalled for. I was in a near death motorcycle accident in 2008 and as a result before I get most dental procedures I need antibiotics in my system. This office is well aware of this and it is noted in my charts but at no time during the scheduling of my appointment was there direction given pertaining to this. I take off work as a supervisor at a major local hospital with my director on vacation to make this appointment just to get their and get shuffled out the door because their staff did not appropriately schedule the appointment. What is even more disturbing is the office manager’s suggestion to remedy the situation was for me to have my doctor remove the requirement for antibiotics before procedures. This is a requirement because I had to have my right knee and hip replaced because of the accident. I will always have this requirement so for her to make that statement truly highlighted how little disregard this office had for me as a patient. That would be equivalent to telling a cancer patient to tell his or her doctor to stop doing chemo because it was inconveniencing another health care provider.
I live not far from the dental office so had I been instructed to take the antibiotics an hour before my appointment, I could have simply left work earlier to drive home and take the antibiotics. This was an extremely big issue for me because as I mentioned earlier my boss is on vacation but what I didn’t mention is that I am a new employee and didn’t really want to take off but the pain was too intense.
The end result is that I took off work for no reason, I am still in pain, and this office showed absolutely no concern for my situation or me as a patient let alone as a human being. I work in health care so I know how some people may be but when an organization makes the patient suffer for their lack of following procedures and an inability to communicate, that is totally unacceptable. This is my second time being made to suffer in some fashion because of the staff’s inability to professionally communicate matters of simplicity. Until this office takes the well being of its patients seriously I will not be returning nor any member of my family and I would not recommend this office to anyone. I was not even offered any remedy to the pain I am in.

First time here, and I have to say, a damn good place to go, their gentle, the quick, new patient process, is a breeze, I had a problem with me insurance, but they help me figure it all out very patient, with everything. Go here if you don’t like going to the dentist, they will treat you right.

I was a very difficult unusual case for them. But the entire crew proved to be mature, professional, and patient with me.
