History

Established in 1999.

Nevada Oral and Facial Surgery first opened their doors in July of 1999. Dr. Brendan Johnson and Dr. R.F. Holtzen had a vision, an oral surgery center where patients would be treated like family. Our doctors at Nevada Oral and Facial Surgery are Board Certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. They have completed an additional four to six years of hospital-​based residency training beyond the four years of general dental school. Specialty training includes anesthesia, head and neck surgery, pathology and trauma. This training allows our doctors to expertly provide a variety of services related to the teeth, mouth, jaws and face. Our doctors are amongst the most experienced in the world in the highly specialized All-​on-​4 treatment concept completing close to 1600 surgeries. Our office is accredited by The Joint Commission, an organization that accredits hospitals within the United States.

Business Owner

Dr. Brendan Johnson received his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Pacific in San Francisco, California in 1994. He then began residency training at UCLA and the Sepulveda Veterans Medical Center. For the next four years his training continued at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, the University of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma Children’s Hospital in 1999. He then moved to Las Vegas as co-​founder of Nevada Oral & Facial Surgery with Dr. John Holtzen in 1999.

In addition to years of training at respected academic medical centers, Dr. Johnson is an associate professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as anesthesia. He was also appointed to the Southern Nevada Peer Review Board, State Board of Dental Examiners (Anesthesia Evaluation Committee), and is the past President of the Southern Nevada Dental Society.
