My husband surprised me for our 1-​year wedding anniversary with a hot air balloon ride – something I’ve always wanted to do! I was a bit nervous, but every person involved in the whole process, from the pilot to the ground crew, were so nice and well-​humoured, how can you not relax and have fun? It was an absolutely amazing experience, and I’m looking forward to going again!
Who knows? Maybe I’ll be brave enough one day to get lessons and learn to fly myself!

This place is amazing! All of the staff are super informative and helpful! I’m a local and surprised my mom with a ride when she came into town to visit me. She was nervous in the beginning but as soon as we got there all the staff made you feel so comfortable and right at home. It was really neat getting to be there for the entire set up and breakdown of the hot air balloons. Three go out at a time. You have to be there at 5:30am which is extremely early but sooooo worth it. Shelton our pilot was one of the nicest people I’ve met in town. Not one bad thing to say. He taught me things I didn’t even know about my own city. Smooth take off and landing. I highly recommend you request him as your guide. There a champagne toast at the end of your ride as well. I will def be back again. I will definitely be back again.

I have the coolest mom! For her 80^th birthday she wanted to go up in a hot air balloon and we ended up with a group of 6 family and friends. Doug was a great source of information about balloons and put everyone at ease — even my wife, who was nervous and is afraid of heights. The balloon flight was really smooth and not scary in the least. We had unbelievable views of the southwest area of the Las Vegas valley and were able to watch some other balloons that were flying at the same time. Every aspect of the morning was handled professionally and our pilot, Doug, and the rest of his crew are absolutely top notch. I highly recommend Las Vegas Balloon Rides and would do this again in a heartbeat.

This was an amazing experience we flew toward the strip and could see the skyline as the sun was coming over the top. The company and all of their employees were extremely professional. I would highly recommend them to any one. We will be doing this again.

Doug and his crew were awesome! The ride was breathtaking, the views amazing, and Doug had a wealth of knowledge, and humor.

Wow! What a once in a lifetime experience! One I will now never forget. I highly recommend this company. They do it all and are very safe! The owner was exceptional, picked us up at our hotel and was so accommodating. We mentioned we wanted to see the Las Vegas sign and he happily took us after the hot air ballon ride. They also offer skydiving off the hot air ballon, so if you’re an adrenaline junky and want something new to try Do This! I promise you won’t regret it.

What a beautiful experience this was! Larry is such a funny, genuine person., you don’t meet people like that everyday.
Our captain was great, he had so much knowledge, history, and was very personable.
We had the beginning to end experience. We got to watch our balloon inflate and we also helped to deflate our balloon and pack it away. Our crew rewarded us with champagne, finger foods. We truly bonded with everyone.
This was a beautiful family bonding experience which we will never forget!

On April 29, 2012 I decided to go through las vegas balloon rides to propose to my gf at the time. Everything seemed to go as planned until I actually got there. I wanted the private flight to make it more romantic so I payed $ 900 for that. I then asked Doug if he could put a camera in the balloon and he said it’d be an extra $ 200. I was ok with that and paid the additional charges.
The day of the flight, my gf and I waited at the meeting point at 5:30 am. Other people started showing up for the ride also. So Doug and his crew showed up in a couple vans to transport us to the launch site. Doug said to everyone that we’ll all be flying together and mentioned the amount of time we’d have in the air. I was trying to keep this whole proposal as a surprise obviously. So I asked to have a word with Doug away from the group. My paperwork that he had must have been mixed up. He said he had me under flying with the group. I was very aggravated at this point! I mentioned that I’m paying over $ 1100 for the private flight and the camera. He understood and assured me that we will get our private flight, but said because it wasn’t arranged that we’ll only be able to stay in the air for 20 – 30 minutes. I was not ok with that! For that amount of money I wanted this to be a memorable experience. I stated my opinion and he said he’ll try to keep us up there for as long as possible.
The remainder of the experience was quite pleasant. His crew seemed very nice and the pilot was very friendly and funny. The view was beautiful and the proposal went as expected which they actually let us stay up in the air for 90 minutes. When we landed everyone was applauding and shaking my hand congratulating us. The champagne was good, the breakfast was just little fruits and cheeses. Right after we had to go eat because we were starving.
So Doug explained how he would have to get the footage together and we can make a meeting spot later for me to obtain the footage. This is where this experience went horrible. I asked him to put it on a burnable dvd which he did. He wanted to meet closer to where he lived so I had him drop it off where my gf use to work at that time. When she got home we were so excited to watch the footage. We popped in the dvd and nothing happened. It wouldn’t read on the dvd player or the computer. So we plugged in the flash drive he also gave us and it worked! We were starting to watch it and we noticed that one of the crew members installing the camera accidentally adjusted it in a way where it cut off all sound. The whole hour and a half video was silent. I was so upset. The great conversations we had, the funny jokes from the pilot, my proposal… All silent! So I contacted doug and he said I must have bumped the camera when I got in. That pissed me off even more! Instead of viewing the tape he would rather point his finger and blame me which clearly in the footage you see his crew member doing it. Even though it was an accident I still asked for a discount since I will never be able to truly rewatch and relive that experience. After many text messages which a lot of them he ignored. He finally said he’d refund me $ 75 which I asked for $ 100. After more text messages where to meet for the refund since I paid all in cash, he then decided to ignore me all together and not refund me at all. This was some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. He was very rude, defensive and argumentative. Clearly it’s his way and not the customers. If he treats all of his customers like this I’m truly surprised on how his business could still be up and running. If anyone is planning on flying with him. Just buy your package, get it over with and refrain from asking him more than you need to. I will never use them again.

This was one of the best experiences of my life! The crew was amazing and made everybody feel so safe. Doug the pilot was crackin jokes and makin us laugh the whole time. He also gave us lots of great facts. Then we got breakfast and champagne toasts at the end. I’ll never forget this day! Thank you Las Vegas Balloon Rides and crew. You guys were fanastic!

Definitely a «bucket list» experience! Doug Sr (owner), his son, and crew have an awesome gig! There’s something peaceful and amazing about being in the sky. a bit scary if you’re not used to heights, but Doug is very confident, reassuring and great at his job (he’s been flying for over 40 yrs). 100% safety rating and highly recommended! Includes breakfast too!

All I can say is wow! I bought a ticket for myself and my bf. He had such a great time even with our heights phobia, hahah. Doug was our pilot and let me tell you he’s one funny man. He makes the ride quite an experience. The landing was super easy. We had a champagne toast and the end. To top it off we had a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

One of our friends got us a hot air balloon ride as a wedding gift. The crew did a good job of keeping everyone comfortable and up to speed on what was going on. We were up in the air before the other balloons. Our pilot explained a lot about the scenery and landscape. He also told a lot of good jokes to keep us occupied. Overall a great experience.

I’m so glad I found Las Vegas Balloon Rides when my girlfriend and I visited Vegas last week. It was our 10 year anniversary so I wanted it to be special. Let me just say that Doug (owner and pilot) was very helpful through the whole process — nice, funny, and accommodating (helped mount my GoPro on the balloon) from the phone call to the day of.
The ride itself was serene and breathtaking. It’s hard to explain what it feels like to be in a hot air balloon. I expected it to be unstable when I saw it up close given the fact that you’re standing in a wooden basket attached to a huge piece of cloth (!), but it was nothing of the sort. Smooth sailing the whole time — you don’t even realize you’re in the air until you look straight down, and even then it’s more awe than fear.
LV Balloon Rides gave us the best price in the city, and with it we got a pilot who has been in the business for 30+ years (at least). I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I bought an Amazon Local deal to take my girlfriend on a hot air balloon ride for her birthday back in September. The weather foiled our plan a few times, and I started to get skeptical, but after the light breeze we had for today’s ride, I totally understand why anything stronger for wind is unsafe.
The flight itself was great and, all around, a really cool experience — a bucket list item, as many have said. We took off around 7:30am, flew for about an hour, and went to Denny’s for breakfast after a champagne toast upon landing. The balloon was a little packed (we had 12 passengers on our flight), but it wasn’t horrible — kinda’ like riding public transportation. I’m 6’4″, so the 55,000+ BTU flame throwers overhead were a little uncomfortable at times, but overall we both enjoyed it a lot!
Doug has a lot of experience, told some funny jokes along the way, and gave us thorough briefings to prepare us for the ride. The staff was all friendly, and we got some amazing views around the valley. Thanks, Las Vegas Balloon Rides!

Almost every weekend I see a group of balloons floating around near the hills on the southwest side of town. I thought I should jump at the chance to see the city from high in the sky. I have gone on a balloon ride twice before so I knew what to expect when I booked the ride.
*I would suggest booking a flight when the weather is cool– spring or fall.
*Be flexible with the dates that you can fly– the weather here in the desert in very unpredictable. Too much heat or wind is not a good thing when flying.
*Wear comfy clothes and shoes.
*Dress in layers. Its a bit cool when you take off, but once the sun rises, you will heat up.
* Most importantly… WEAR A HAT!
The pilot and crew were very positive and professional. I felt safe the entire flight. We hovered around the south west side of town near Fort Apache/​Wet and Wild area. After the flight we were served non alcoholic champagne and then taken to a local establishment for a hearty breakfast– a reward for getting up so early.
LVBR were proud of their business and were invested in each passenger having a safe and memorable experience.

BF and I wanted to do something different and something we’ve both never done before… I saw this deal on Amazon Local and figured that’s COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from all the hype that is Las Vegas.
Although we started way early for my liking, it was a pretty dope experience!
From watching them inflate a hot air ballon that came outta a family van, to being 1300 feet above ground, to watching them deflate the hot air… It was something we’ll both never forget!
Please take note: I’m scared of heights and didn’t look down once. But, it was amazing. And didn’t even feel shaky at all. Felt like we were on solid ground.
