Honestly, this place was the highlight of my Vegas trip and my friend felt the same. We decided to go try it out on a whim, and I’m so glad we did because we had a great time! The Sherlock room was definitely difficult, but the workers will offer you 3 clues. You can call in and ask after the first ten minutes, or they will start to call you at the 30 minute mark and ask about your progress.
Only tip I have to enhance the game is this: I wish the map thing had an indicator that showed when you put the marker on the right area, (I am being intentionally vague so as to not give anything away). We honestly had no idea if we had it right, or if our thought process was even right. I think installing a small light above or near each map that goes off with the respective color would be super helpful.
If you are in Vegas and you like clue rooms, then definitely check this place out! It’s a blast. :]

Took my team there after lunch for a team building activity. I chose the Sherlock Holmes room. When I pulled into the parking I was a bit concerned about the area but once we were in the room and instructions given we began to losen up. We were able to escape with 6mins to spare. By the end of the game the entire team loved it. We will definitely be returning. It was great to see the team in action. We laughed and were frustrated together but then celebrated together when we solved the puzzles. Bottom line we had a great time as as a group and would recommend Countdown to anyone looking for something fun to do.

my wife and I had a great time!!! I originally thought we would get paired up with a larger group or others since it was our first time but we ended up doing it by ourselves. what a fun time. was very difficult and got us to think outside the box. will be trying out more of these games.

We had a group of 8 in the Atelophobia room and we escaped!!! We worked really well together, solved the clues, survived the darkness, and got the heck out of there! I won’t say too much because you have to experience it for yourself! Soooooooo fun!

My husband and I decided to try this for our anniversary. We are both members of Mensa and have participated in multiple puzzle solving games and experiences. Because of our background we tried the Project Posiedan room — my husband had wanted to do the hardest room.
I don’t want to give anything away so I will be delicate here, but we had a few challenges. The video was hard to hear and the instructions were a little unclear but the video said your first task is to do «X». So I asked the host, so our goal is to do «X» and that’s how we are done? And he said «you’ll know when you’re done».
So we started off with our goal to do X. Everything I did I was focused on do X, do X!!! I kept looking for the clue that would allow me to do X as I was blowing through the puzzles. I didn’t think any of the puzzles were overly difficult but there was such a large volume of them that with having only two people there, it was nearly impossible just time wise to get them done. My biggest criticism of this would have been that the staff had said that this room really needed to have 6 – 10 people in it to finish everything. We thought with it being harder, the puzzle difficulty would be harder, but that wasn’t really the case, there was just a larger volume of puzzles.
We each flew through a ton of puzzles, each of us taking half the room, we really kind of trashed the place, going through there like a whirlwind, but I was opening box after box and lock after lock and solving thing after thing. It was super hot in there, I was dripping sweat and it was dark and so hard to see. But I presume that was supposed to be part of the ambiance. We were having trouble w our flashlight but we weren’t sure if that was part of the game, but the host brought us another one. Some puzzles were quite clever and required doing things in unexpected ways. I finally got a clue which allowed me to do X. So I did it and thought we were done and solved the room, but then we found out that wasn’t right and the actual goal wasn’t X, it was something else. It turns out there’s part of the narrative of the story that tells you this, but you don’t get that part until almost the end of the game, like the second to last puzzle. I wish that they wouldn’t have given me the clue which allowed me to do X until after I had gotten that part of the narrative saying don’t do X. So that was a bit of a disappointment in the puzzle design.
But the staff did let us go on and try to complete the room, which was nice of them, although the wind was kind of taken out of our sails at that point. We got through a bunch more puzzles after that but we didn’t end up escaping. We solved a couple of the really big and complicated ones but we still had about three more to go to finish the room. I am confident that if we had more time than we would have escaped the room, but you just really needed more people so that the puzzles could be worked simultaneously, because when you’d get tripped up on something and it was taking a while, it was eating up time. If we had been in there with a few more people we’d have had someone to work the other puzzles while we were working on one.
Overall, we liked the broad strokes of it and some of the puzzles were fun and clever, but I have to take away one star for the narrative and puzzle design confusion, and a second star for the fact that I think that these rooms should be listed by the number of people needed to solve it. Like this easy room is 2 – 6 people this intermediate one is 4 – 8, and this hard one is 6 – 10. That’s my biggest piece of feedback for this business. Or maybe change the model so that if you have 5 – 10 people you get one hour but if you have 2 – 4 you get two hours. That would have made up for the fact that were disadvantaged just by our lack of hands on help.
The puzzles weren’t overly difficult, we just needed more people due to the sheer volume of tasks. Also, in my opinion there’s a small design flaw with the puzzle narrative because you’re given the info to do the task X before being told don’t do task X. You probably shouldn’t give that clue which allows you to do X until the end.
The staff seemed surprised that we had done X and asked me how I did it, so I hope this review brings that design issue which enables you to figure that part out to light.
I’d definitely give this concept and company another go round, we actually almost completed the room and the staff seemed a little surprised that we got as far as we did and as many puzzles as we did. I just felt like the cards were a unfairly stacked against us and we were somewhat disadvantaged and we didn’t know that and weren’t told it going in. We did feel a but disappointed afterwards but it was still an interesting experience. Thanks for the adventure, I wanted to provide the honest feedback that you requested :)

Good fun! Have never been and it was what we expected. Our recommendation is to take an Über or a cab. We tried to walk from the last bus stop on the strip and it was pretty far. The girls working were nice and we were able to complete the room with only two clues! Have fun if you go.

I’m giving this review three stars for a specific reason. One star was docked because they screwed up the room preparation (left an important compartment unlocked and forgot to put a key in its hiding place). A second star was docked because these screw-​ups caused the experienced to be ruined, and the staff did not handle it appropriately (they were more ambivalent than apologetic). Despite the screw-​ups, we still managed to solve all the puzzles; however, due to technicalities, the staff determine that we «failed the mission» even though if the screw-​ups hadn’t happened we most likely would have won. We were so upset by the experience that we signed up to do a different escape room later the same day, which turned out to be a much better experience for multiple reasons.
That all being said, this place gets 3 stars because the room itself was well designed and the puzzles were interesting. We won’t come back here again, but I expect that others may have a good experience.

Came here for a team-​building event. So, it’s in a sketchy neighborhood so just be prepared. Despite that, this is a total blast. The staff was very friendly, and absolutely loved every minute. This was our first time playing an escape game, and it did not disappoint. Good challenges and if you need a hint, there’s a little help. We solved the Sherlock room with time to spare, and will TOTALLY come back again!

A few of us really enjoy the BBC’s Sherlock TV series and we also wanted to try an escape room here in Vegas. It was perfect! Awesome staff, amazing room, very tricky, but we managed to solve the Sherlock room with almost 19 minutes to spare! Mycroft would be proud… on the other hand, Moriarty would not! :-P

This place is freaking awesome! I went with a large group of friends (8 people) and we tried the atelophobia room. We heard that it was one of the scariest rooms and wow, talk about breaking a sweat in that room… we all were completely terrified at some point, and some of us left a little more traumatized than others. The game itself was very interesting, slightly difficult, but doable if you focus. Luckily we were able to escape with only 5 minutes to spare!
The trick is to go with the right amount of people. 2 – 4 people may not not be enough brain power, but with 6+ people, some might find themselves not doing anything productive. So keep that in mind!

The Atelophobia Room was probably the most memorable and frightening escape room experience I ever had! With my group of four (including me), we entered a dark and scary room with many «creepy» visual props and left the room with our hearts pounding, even after we escaped. If I had to tell you the number of times we screamed out loud, it would be more times than what you can count on your fingers. We were definitely not prepared for how scary this room would be, but I definitely felt the adrenaline rush as I attempted to solve tricky puzzles (which by the way, gave me the chills) with my friends. I wish I could tell you guys more about it… but I’ll leave the mystery up to you all to find out ;)
The hostess of the escape room was very nice and explained the rules of the escape room very well. She made our first Las Vegas escape room experience a positive one and I would definitely recommend this location if your group of friends are looking for a fun time. I absolutely loved this particular escape room because the theme was put-​together VERY well. Visiting Las Vegas from San Jose, California, I have been to a few escape rooms, but the themes were just not as developed as this one.
Because of this positive escape room experience, my friends and I are going to another Las Vegas escape room tonight!!! :)

Tried it out with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. It was a good and fun activity that required team work and thinking out of the box. We unfortunately did not escape in time because half of our group was intoxicated while the other half refused to go in to the secret «haunted» room.
Although the mystery was a bit «corny,» Will definitely return to try out another mystery and this time will do it sober.

There were 8 of us friends figuring out what to do on a Sunday night for our last vacation day of our trip and was suggested from our friend to try the Countdown Live Escape Games. She had tried the Sherlock room before and so we called to see what room was available for that night for our group. The only room that we could book on short notice was the Atelophobia Room that we got to book over the phone. They’ll just a need a credit card to hold your reservation. 2 hours later we were in for a ride…
The location of the place is already eery as we pulled up in the middle nowhere. We all had to sign waivers before we began the experience. It’s $ 35 for an 1 hour of interactive experience. The lady who helped us showed us a short clip to build up the suspense of what to expect before going into the room. After watching it, a few of us were ready to back down from participating while some of us were feeling the adrenaline rush of having to «face our fears» before entering. Of course, we all convinced each other that we’ll stick together through it all. No refunds so might as well get scared together!
She was very informative of the instructions we needed to do in order to find clues and solve the puzzles to complete certain tasks. There’s even an escape door if you feel the need to not complete the mission. But that kills the momentum though if you do decide to use it. There’s a timer on the screen as our countdown began to find a way to escape that lock door. It took us a while to find our groove in how we were suppose to solve these riddles to help us find clues in the given tasks.
The room is pretty dim so you’ll have to made do with the little lighting you have there. It’s all about team building skills and relying on each other’s problem solving traits as well as courage and initiative to help escape the room in an hour. It’s pretty intense in there as it’ll test you mentality and physically on how you can handle the pressure of trying to escape with all these unexpected thrill of fears that you’ll experience.
I think it’s better to go in a bigger group as it makes the experience more interesting. The Atelophobia Room will definitely make your moneys worth as it’ll give you an experience to remember when you finally escape or when the time is up. Atelophobia is the fear of not being good enough or imperfection. We definitely felt this throughout the game even with the 8 minds put together we were struggling to figure out the clues and thought we’d never make it out in time but we managed to escape with 3:43 minutes left. Phew!
The lady was helpful in giving clues throughout the game by giving us a call whenever she noticed we were struggling. The most scariest part of the game would be when 4 people will be chosen to go in a secret room alone but 2 of our friends were the bravest and took it for the team and went twice. It really is a fun experience when you look back at it! LOL.
We were able to watch a clip of our video after we finished and just laughed about it when we watched ourselves getting scared and toppling over each other in fear. It was definitely the one of the highlights of our trip. I would so do it again now that I know what to expect in this type of interactive game. I’m sure if we were able to survive the most scariest rooms, we’d be able to handle the other type of rooms. Looking forward to trying one of these back home in Hawaii.

I went with a party of 7 and we did Chop Shop (the suspense themed room). The staff was very nice and they had us fill out the waivers before we got started. I was surprised that they stressed arriving early for our reservation, yet we ended up starting at least 20 minutes after our scheduled time.
I was pretty excited to try this room but it ended up being incredibly disappointing. This may be because my friends and I expected an experience where we look for clues, solve puzzles, and eventually escape. Chop Shop was more along the lines of search the area you can access (everyone is chained up at the start), look for keys, and pass the keys to your friends in the hopes that it unlocks something. If you can’t find keys, you’re out of luck. Also, you’re doing this in a very dimly lit room. I don’t want to give much away, but for the most part it’s very hard to see what’s around you. For some reason, the music playing in the room was very loud and unfitting for the theme of the room. (We’re trying to escape a room, not fight an epic battle)
The area where you’re chained is random, but I felt unbearably bad for my friends who were chained the whole game. (only 4 out of 7 of us were free by the end of the hour) We paid $ 35 for a fun experience together, but they spent an entire hour chained up because we couldn’t find keys. We didn’t encounter a single puzzle. It felt like an hour of scrambling around in the dark, hoping to find tiny keys. For my friends who we’re chained the whole time, it was entire hour of watching the freed players look for keys. I can’t stress how bad that feels to just watch and be physically prevented from playing the game. (again, $ 35)
I’m giving this a ²⁄₅ because from what I can tell, other customers really enjoyed the other two rooms, Sherlock and Atelophobia. So it’s possible our room was just really different from those two. Also, I thought the staff was pretty good. They do help you out with a few hints along the way, which is nice. I would suggest that they give more hints earlier. Our first hint was at the 30 minute point and we had been stuck on finding that lock for 15 minutes. I understand that this room is supposed to be very difficult, but it wasn’t very fun. Maybe don’t chain up every player so groups have a better chance of making it out of the first part.

Located in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, «Countdown Live Escape Games» offers a few different options depending on what you’re looking for. I came by and did «The Sherlock» room on Halloween Eve night at 11pm at the Las Vegas location and enjoyed this different type of game experience. This is definitely a good time if all participants in your group partake in the challenge. I was one of the leaders in my group at being helpful and we almost got out towards the end, however did not finish to escape in time. The other «scarier» themed ones would be neat to try next time.

–can be tricky if you find things out of order which happened with my group
–teamwork is key!
Overall, this is fun and I would recommend this when looking to try something different. be adventurous and challenge your mind :)

We were so scared but it was sooooo much fun. We beat it with 15:36 left! Boom… we ROCK!
So worth it and such a fun night out with friends!

Me and my friends did the Atelophobia room for someone’s birthday and we are still laughing/​having nightmares about it! It was a great bonding and team building experience.
The Atelophobia room is NOT family friendly. There are scary moments and themes in the room. A lot of us were clinging onto each other for a good portion of the hour that you have in there. They do have a Sherlock room, which is family friendly and I am very excited to try that one one day too!
Spoiler alert: We escaped! With 8 minutes to spare! :D
Thank you to the staff at Countdown for a fun time! Our group will definitely be back to try out another room.

This is so much fun! Involves a lot of teamwork & bravery since we did the most scariest room, ATELOPHOBIA. SCARY!!! i was picked to go into the other room to solve a clue, in the dark all by myself… no waayyyyy! Thanks to my friend who took one for the team ha!
Anyway definitely a fun experience. We made it out with 17mins left on the clock. Fun to do with friends, family or your significant other and be grouped with strangers.
I can’t wait to do this in San Diego.

A friend asked me to join her team of four to do the «Saw» event. I guess you need either 5 or 6 people for this escape. I paid $ 30 for my share.
There is a Sherlock and Trapped version too.
So, the basic concept without giving anything away is you are locked in a room and given hints to figure out how to escape in 1 hour.
It was a lot of fun! We were challenged, frightened a little, and laughed a lot.
I would absolutely do it again, and we plan on it.

I purchased the Unilocal offer and received a voucher number to use for my purchase. When I went to purchase my ticket on their website, the voucher number wasn’t getting applied. I emailed them and they called me within 5 minutes! They signed me up and emailed my confirmation. So easy.
When I arrived, I was greeted by the courteous staff. We waited for the rest of the group to arrive, talking all the while. Before we got started, the owner wanted to know if he needed to call for anyone’s limo towards the end of the game. Again, courteous.
I’m not going to share what went on in the Sherlock room, but I will say that there were some great twists! They have three rooms altogether and they all offer something different. The complexity and game play is very different so ask questions to see which one is more your style. Had I had the time, I would’ve done them all! The owner shared some upcoming rooms and they are going to be fantastic! It’s cool how they switch them up.
The location, I think, is great! It’s easy to get to and has plenty of parking. This is the kind of location that is very suitable for this kind of business! I think their rooms are appropriately outfitted for game play. I wasn’t looking for high-​end finishes or furnishings. That’s not at all what this is about. I didn’t go to sit and chill and look at glamorous things– that’s all along the strip.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to participate in such an exhilarating game!
