Adventure Combat Ops

I saw youtube videos of adventure combat ops and had to sign up immediately to give it a try.
This was one of the coolest experiences ever. You start off being instructed by two veterans (I believe both were navy seals) «Wombat» and «Gator» on how to breech doors and clear out buildings properly. Both of these guys are certified badasses and meant business which made the whole experience that much more real.
I don’t want to get too extensive here because it would spoil it but you cruise through a massive warehouse loaded with different obstacles and buildings and shoot zombies the whole time. It can’t get much cooler than that right?
The whole experience was amazing and I highly highly highly recommend this place and both of the course leaders Wombat and Gator!

5 stars are not enough! About as real as it gets. 40 minutes of training really brings you into the real world of what our great armed services do… On a very basic level. Gator is the man. Even with his bigger Phew Phew gun. Once the experience starts it’s 2 hours of an Adrenaline rush. Zombies, Searching, Breaching Doors! Seriously, everything in Vegas is in excess. This is nothing but amazing. Thanks team ACO and Vegaster for the recommendation. WILL BE BACK.

We took a group of 6 for a bachelor party and we had an absolutely fantastic time! It was the best thing we did in Vegas all weekend.
We surprised the bachelor with this adventure, so he was blown away when a modified, all black Deuce and Half came rolling up the strip to pick us up. The shuttle service to and from several pick up points along the strip is complementary when you get the Operator package, which I highly suggest.
After arriving, we were greeted in the awesome lobby, got our multicam gear (also part of the Operator Package) and got suited up. At our designated start time, things started with a BANG and we were introduced to Gator and Wombat, our guides for the next two hours. Their enthusiasm and humor is immediately apparent as they play out the introductory scenario in the lobby and bring you into the back. In the back you sit in a tent and watch a video that sets up the zombie apocalypse scenario you are about to play through and Gator and Wombat do a bit of an introduction and speak about their time in the military. They are both real ex-​special forces with multiple tours of duty. They are certified badasses.
Next comes training, which necessarily assumes that everyone knows nothing about weapon safety or team tactics. If you are a firearms enthusiast or a Veteran you may be worried that this part will be boring but Gator and Wombat keep it fun and do a great job of instructing. They even used our Best Man as a battering ram to breach the door in that segment of the training. You’ll also use the «Glass House» to learn and practice breaching and clearing as a team.
After training you enter the zombie apocalypse. We had the apparently unique opportunity to combine our 6 man group with a 4 man group and a husband and wife team and run the whole thing as a 12 person team with both Gator AND Wombat, which turned out to be amazing. The zombie apocalypse town is EXTREMELY well done. I was worried it would be sparse or cheesy but it was great. The special effects, lighting, smoke, etc. were all great. Music is even pumped into the area and queued up at the right times. Thunderstruck by AC/​DC got our group pretty pumped, dancing and air guitar-​ing our rifles while breaching and clearing. Gator and Wombat do an incredible job of leading the mission, making it seem as real as a zombie apocalypse can feel and understanding the group dynamics of each group. Our group, got REALLY into it so they turned up the energy levels of their own performances accordingly. A few of the other people from other groups were a little quieter and so they dialed it back when dealing with them. I don’t want to give away too much more but the whole thing is badass.
Afterwards we chatted with Gator and Wombat while we waited on our flash drive with pictures (Also part of the Operator package). Gator told us that the harness he was wearing was his real harness from his time overseas and that he keeps his ballistic plates in it while doing the zombie apocalypse. It weighs around 45 pounds and he let our group pick it up and wear it a bit.
I can’t speak highly enough of Gator, Wombat, the rest of the team and Adventure Combat Ops. By far the coolest thing we did in Vegas all weekend. We are already talking about when we can go back and do it again.

Place was awesome and a bunch of fun. The instructors were amazing. Team Gator!!! I would suggest going with a group of 4 to 5 people for maximum zombie killing.

The best thing i’ve done in Vegas. We did this as a group of 7 and everyone of us loved it, well, accept the one woman that cried several times… out of fear. So fun!

We went with a group of six from varying ages– 50 to 12– and had a fantastic time. It was very well done and thoughtfully designed. We were on Wombat’s team and he made it very fun and interesting. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves an adrenaline rush. The zombies are not gory or graphic, which was great. Wish we lived here so we could make it a semi-​annual event!

Gator and wombat made this experience and unforgettable one. With their overall attention to detail and the quality setting Adventure Combat Ops was a once in a life time experience. From the hour long indoc to and hour of run/​gun stacking up and clearing houses this was loads of fun. Gator and wombat, 2 guys with an extensive background in unconventional warfare made this both relaxed, fun and informative all rolled into one. My wife was highly skeptical about this but there’s nothing like watching your significant other stacking up on doors and calling in air strikes to make you smile. As a vet I truly appreciated the experience and would recommend this to anyone. Keep up the good fight Guys and thanks for an amazing time!

This is the best time you can have in Vegas. It is a must do when staying or driving thru Vegas. Staff and overall experience was incredible. I will be returning to do it again.

Adventure Combat Ops is incredible. It’s ran by ex Special Ops guys. You get some training, equipment, air softrifle, organized into teams and set out with a Special Ops leader to save the world. Your in mock town environment, clearing houses, looking for intel and fighting Zombies. Can call in air strikes. It lasts about 2 hours. I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing the whole time it was so much fun.

As a former member of Combat Arms (13 °F and 11B) I was skeptical to say the least. But my wife had bought the Groupon already, and I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for us to do something fun together.
Remember all the fun stuff about the shoot houses? Remember the room clearing, the searching and finding of Intel or casualties? All the fun games the instructors would throw at you? That’s what this is. Pure fun! Now imagine taking your wife or husband with you.
Our OTL’s were Wombat and Gator. We couldn’t have asked for better Team Leaders. They mentioned something about the SEAL getting more hair gel and writing a new book, or he would have been there. They made it fun and exciting!
Starting with the intro and teaining: glass house day one, and moving to day two and three in a couple minutes (common, you can’t take all day, there’s Zombies to slaughter.) The witt and humor elevated the experience and made it that much more fun! These guys are great at what they do.
I went all in for the Operator package and I’m glad I did, the pictures alone were worth it. Ever see your wife MultiCam? You should.
It’s airsoft so there were equipment malfunctions, both equipment and operator caused. But they were quickly fixed, and blended right into the scenerio. Note: Do not remove your magazine to clear a malfunction. You will drop 5 rounds each time you eject your mag. Believe me, you need them all. Ask me how I know.
This is very professionally done, this isn’t some slapped together nonsense by some Zombie obsessed basement dweller, this is an excellent production, and you’re a part of it. Very professional, very fun!
This was an excellent experience and we’ll worth the money. If you’re finding the Strip boring, and you’re not finding what you want there, this is your place.
And, last, but certainly not least, the Zombies. You all do a fantastic job! You made the show, without you… well, it would suck. Props to you all and I wish I had enough to tip you all!

Wow!!! We always are looking for fun new things to do in Las Vegas and this activity really takes the cake. As someone who has zero experience with guns or video gaming, I didn’t really expect to enjoy this experience and only made the reservation since I thought that it was something that some visiting family members would like doing. To my surprise, I had a fantastic time and already am planning to take another group of friends here on a future visit to Vegas. We all loved how the team leaders, Gator and Wombat, really worked hard to make sure that everyone got involved in the action and had a great experience. In fact, everyone in our group of 5 absolutely loved the experience and thought that it was the highlight of our weekend in Las Vegas.
If you buy the basic package through Groupon or elsewhere, I would suggest that you upgrade to one of the higher level packages when you arrive so that you can get extra ammo and wear the combat gear. We upgraded one level and it definitely made the experience a lot more fun. We all were out of ammo by the end of the event, so we were happy to have the extra set of rounds. The photos from the experience also were excellent. We bought two sets to take home and have had so much fun going through the pictures.
Gator was our team leader and he was perfect. He made sure that everyone was getting in on the action and kept us all on task. He also has a great sense of humor! The «Zombieland» set up is outstanding as well– lots of little «houses,» an abandoned RV, abandoned cars, smoke machines, awesome music, etc. The zombie actors also were excellent and really kept us on our toes. You never know when and where a zombie is going to appear!
If you find yourself in Las Vegas for any reason, I would highly suggest that you make your way over to Adventure Combat Ops. You won’t regret it.

I’m literally blown away by how much fun i had. it was so much better than i expected!!!
i cant wait to take my brother and sister here for christmas, they are going have the best time ever.

The experience itself was 5 stars & Gator and Wombat were both awesome! I was on Gator’s team and had a blast. I don’t want to spoil things for you but just wear sneakers and dress comfortably as you would to the gym… you will be moving around and it will get quite warm!
I will definitely be coming back – probably more than once – and bringing any/​all friends from out of town who are interested in checking this place out. Forget those boring, cliché Cirque shows, this is where the fun and once-​in-​a-​lifetime experience is if you’re a tourist.
Lots of deals to be found right now (Groupon, Unilocal,etc.) since they are still relatively new so it comes out to about the same price you would pay to watch the O show (which is totally overrated and not worth the money IMHO).
I found this place on Groupon and got a deal for the husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. 7 years is a long time to be with someone and this is a great way to relieve some stress and take out that aggression on some zombies! haha jk ;) most women get spa packages to celebrate with their significant others… I got this adventure combat ops experience + krav maga classes! lol
So why 4 star overall rating if the experience was so awesome? A few things that have already been mentioned for the most part and could easily be addressed:
*the limited rounds in each mag and limited number of mags — would be nice if we were provided an extra mag and/​or they offered an extra one at $ 5 or something more reasonable especially if you go in a group (ex: 3 for $ 15)
*goggles — kept fogging up and/​or slipping out of place as the band was stretched out. If they could provide normal shooting glasses and/​or allow and suggest individuals bring their own if they have them that would be great. If you’ve shot before, you know how the regular classes style goggles are much more practical and less likely to fog up
*group size — this really depends on the time slot you book and your luck though… ours was packed so despite being split in 2 groups each group was still 9 people which felt a bit cramped in the rooms /​structures we went through. I think 6 would have been an OK group size but 9 made it less challenging and a bit less exciting than it could have been with smaller groups
*lack of etiquette and skill of other participants that may be in your group — this is out of their control and really luck of the draw who you get grouped with but it is worth noting. If you have shot guns in real life, been around real guns, and understand the etiquette and rules, you will be very frustrated cause it is alarming when people don’t understand basic gun safety. This is how firearm accidents happen in real life and what gives gun control nuts fuel – guns don’t actually kill people, crazy and/​or stupid people kill people. But I digress and that is a whole other topic I could go on for hours about.
Gator did a great job explaining the rules in the beginning such as always treat a gun as though it is loaded, NEVER point a gun towards anything you do not intend to shoot (one of the most important rules that kept getting broken), and understand what is both behind and in front of your intended target yet people kept breaking these rules. There was this one guy in our group who kept pointing his gun (and he had the kind with a laser and flashlight) towards people so it was blinding everyone. Gator did do a good job calling him out on it once or twice but there were still a number of times he did it for awhile without being called out. Again, NOT Gator or the Adventure Combat Ops team’s fault but just something to be aware of and prepared for.

Father /​Son time!!! What s wonderful experience to remember with my son. Staff did an awesome job from start to finish. Very personable, friendly and informative. These instructors know their stuff… No joke this is s must do in Vegas.
I recommend the operative package, which includes the pictures. The pictures came out awesome. The experience gets your adrenaline going, «non-​stop action».
Tactics taught and used apply to real life law enforcement operations. WE HAD A BLAST!!! Oh and the ZOMBIES WERE EXTERMINATED!

For a bachelor party event, 7 of us signed up for this for an early Sunday morning session. We drove to some desolate corporate warehouse area and walked inside. We were greeted by a dude wearing some BDU’s and holding some type of airsoft assault rifle. He introduced himself and he gave us a quick low down on the rules and what to expect.
This is where it started getting crazy and interactive! Some soldier dude runs out from the back, screams and yells something, runs outside, and we hear some gunshots go off (firing blanks). There’s a tv screen showing the parking lot of the building, and you see an explosion of some vehicle. Then 2 special forces dudes come out to the lobby where you’re standing and start screaming at you to get to the back to get your equipment. Chaos ensues!
I don’t want to spoil anything else because it’s definitely something you need to experience for yourself, but get ready to sweat, run, and shoot some zombies. Our 2 former special forces guys Wombat and Gator definitely made the experience so much more realistic. They went over basic maneuvers, how to enter and clear rooms, and a crash course in combat tactics.
The only thing that kept me from giving this business a 5 star rating was the limited number of rounds and magazines provided. They said that there were about 100 rounds in each magazine (2 provided), but I know a few of the guys in our group got gypped with a lot less rounds than that. One of our guys even had a broken magazine which didn’t even feed the BBs into his gun. I know for sure that my second magazine did NOT have 100+ rounds. And if you run out of rounds, you can «purchase» another full magazine for $ 10. Yes, you read that right… $ 10!!! I used to airsoft and I know that a huge bag of BBs don’t even cost that much. Lower the price guys, BBs don’t cost that much!
I think starting players off with AT LEAST 4 mags would be ideal, and then charge maybe $ 1 for another mag. 2 mags was just not enough. Also, the goggles provided would fog up so much, that half of the time, you were blowing air up towards your eyes to de-​fog them, or take them off for a few seconds, while trying to shoot at zombies, it took away from the experience. I think that maybe providing the player with a choice of either using the goggles or some shooting glasses would be a good idea.
Other than that, this adventure was kick ass. We all had a blast. The sets inside, the sound effects, lights, and actors playing the zombies, were second to none.

Wasbat and Gator were our team leaders for the day, they were both incredible!
I was part of a large group of female veterans who came in this past Friday to shoot some zombies and save the world from a sure apocalypse! I was on Wambat’s team. We were trained on how to enter and clear a room (rather, we brushed up on the training we already had). I am a double amputee and chose to participate from my wheelchair. I was thoroughly impressed with how completely accessible everything in the building was. I was usually the 2^nd or 3^rd in the room but always ended up watching the front door or the window.
It was a simply amazing experience. Full of adrenaline, quite a few laughs and many new memories.

What an informative, super fun for everyone!
The staff are experts & approachable for Q&A. I highly recommend this experience when you visit Fabulous Las Vegas!
