This company is fantastic! Dennis is absolutely the best! He came out and he could have told me that I needed a new AC… but he did not. He climbed in the attic and looked over the ac unit and came back and said that my AC was perfectly fine and in great shape. The problem was the thermostat. This company is highly ethical and Dennis is honest, nice, and cares about his customers. I will only call them.

these guys are great, a/​c went out on a hot afternoon we called 5 different places before action air said they would come out in the same day. Well Tim showed up went up on the roof and 20 minutes later we had cold air I would recommend action air to anyone

We have used Unilocal reviews several times to help select businesses to deal with so thought I would start sharing reviews as well.
Thought a good business to start with would be Action Air Conditioning. Let’s face it, air conditioning is important to us desert dwellers!
Recently, the main A/​C unit for our house quit without warning and things were getting uncomfortable. We called Action and the tech showed up exactly as Tracy had scheduled. After a couple questions he had the situation diagnosed, went to his van and came back with exactly the right part (capacitor), pulled the old part which was obviously not in good shape, got the new one installed and we were cooling off in no time!
Our A/​C unit is older (about 10 years) so the fact that he had exactly the right part was great. Plus, the tech (sorry, can’t remember his name) was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. After the unit was running he made sure everything else was up to snuff before he left. He could have easily tried to «upsell» us as we have been quite lax about maintenance but he was simply interested in making sure the unit was operating properly and we would be staying comfortable.
Without hesitation I recommend Action Air Conditioning to anyone needing professional A/​C service at a fair price. I know we will be using them whenever the need arises.

We have been using Action Air for over ten years now and they never disappoint. The most important thing to me with a business is honesty and integrity and that that’s how I would describe this company. They are very inexpensive and always do a great job. The best in town!

I received excellent customer service from Tracy, who set up my appt, and the service tech who came to the house was on time and courteous.

The last week of June, I came home on a Friday to find the fan for our air conditioning unit was not turning on and that the house was getting warmer by the hour. We called our warranty service, and after insisting that June in Las Vegas was NOT the time to be without air conditioning (especially with dogs in the house) they finally agreed to see if they could find someone to come out Saturday. So no air for the night; just fans. Saturday morning, after no call back from the warranty company’s HVAC service, I decided I was willing to pay to get the unit working and started calling a few places. Action Air was the first to call back — and they did it within half an hour!
I explained the situation to Tracy — the air conditioner was turning on, but there was no fan to actually blow the air through the house — and she stated she could have someone out between 11am and 1pm. Dennis showed up right in the time window, checked out our thermostat, then headed up to the roof. He found some burnt out contacts and one other damaged piece (didn’t catch the name), and also stated we would need a new thermostat. While I ran out to Home Depot for a thermostat (they don’t carry them in their vehicles due to the heat messing up the thermometers), he completed the repairs on the roof. He brought the old pieces down so we could see the damage, hooked up the new thermostat, and we were back in business!
I loved the attitude shown by Dennis when we asked if it looked like the air conditioner would need replacing in the near future: «No. Everything looks good on the unit itself. If it goes out again, call us. My job is to repair it; not try to sell you a new one. I’ll let you know when it gets to that point.» Since a new unit is easily $ 5000-​$ 7000, this was music to my ears.
Everything was working well for the last few weeks and I was all set to type up this review when, suddenly, the fan stopped automatically coming on again two nights in a row. I got it working both times (and kept it running after the second), called Action Air, and Tracy had Dennis swing by about an hour after my call. He checked all connections at the unit and at the thermostat, and everything looked good. He switched out the time delay (?) and tested the system several times. Everything worked smoothly. The fan has been a random issue over the last couple of years (I think there is a gremlin in the connections), so hopefully the new switch takes care of things. Either way, Tracy and Dennis provided fast service, got things up and running, and didn’t try to upsell a new unit. I can’t imagine anything better!

My experience couldn’t have been better! No A/​C in the middle of July can create a little anxiety, checking online reviews can really add to that. My interaction with Action Air started with a more than pleasant call with Tracy (great customer service skills). She indicated that the tech would be to my house in an hour. I thought that sounded too good to be true, until Dennis arrived 58 minutes after I hung up :) Dennis was fantastic, he found a fried disconnect and had it replaced quickly. He also gladly answered a handful of questions — thanks!

I am only giving 1 star because they did do a good job. Otherwise I was very annoyed that they were not honest about the price of the motor that needed to be changed i was told the motor cost $ 550 and when i went on amazon i saw it was only a $ 100 dollars. This is after they misdiagnosed the problem and charged me $ 295 for some cleaning and freon. All and all i paid them $ 550+$ 295 = $ 845

Customer service on the phone when setting the appointment was good and the repairman showed up earlier than scheduled… A+. He was a friendly person and pinpointed my problem and fixed it immediately. However I gave them 3 stars because I felt a bit overcharged for the simple 20 minute visit and easy solution to my problem (a simple tightening of a loose connection on my power box that took 1 minute to tighten). All in all, I appreciated the customer service, speedy arrival, and friendliness… but the fee was too high in my opinion.

Cant say Nothing but great things about Action A/​C came out the next day to check on my A/​C units.
Dennis found that they were both low on Refrigerant and even inspected a fan he though that might be going bad but said it was still good to go.

This review may be a bit premature, but I literally just got off the phone with Tracy and she is sending a tech to my house within an hour. For it being Sunday even and Father’s Day — I’m super impressed! The quoted diagnostic fee is very reasonable… I have high hopes but so far so good!
**UPDATE: Repairman showed in less than an hour and now my house is cool again. The tech has been so very nice and knows his stuff! I would whole-​heartedly recommend this company to anyone in a pinch. They are awesome!

Dennis came by 3 times for a service, to take measurements and to install a new unit. Each time he was on time and professional. The new unit was fairly priced, and set up in about 5 hrs, including time for programming the thermostat we bought. The crane operator was very talented and threaded my trees with ease. I will use them again. Great work guys!

Have to give action air some more props! They came right out to check something for me. Dennis has been great he did my check this year and I requested him back! He is very knowledgable and thorough with his work. I actually thought something was wrong but it was just his thorughness and I truly appreciated it. He was able to educate me as well about basics so that I didn’t have any worries over the summer. It’s hard to find a trusted company in town and I trust them. Tracy is great when I call and always right on it!

Came out to do preventative maintenance on AC. No complaints.

We had a few days in May 2014 were it seemed a little warm in the house and discovered the air conditioner wasn’t coming on.
I checked Unilocal and I liked the reviews for Action, so thought we would call, they were able to come out that Friday evening and take a look.
It took our tech about 10 min to find the problem. The heater cover had come loose and it caused the entire system to shut down, definitely not something we ever could have conceived ourselves, we checked everything we could think of.
We will definitely call them again for service and with any luck, prior to the system breaking down.

I had such a great experience that I had to share.
I knew something was up when we woke up and it was hot in the house. Like gross hot.
I searched for a business to call and the only thing I knew was that I was not going to call the Yes! Company. After a little research I landed on Action air.
There was definitely hesitation on my part being they had a perfect Unilocal score but the reviews seemed legit and I gave them a call.
A gentleman answered the phone and we worked out a time. The call was pleasant and quick. The repair man called me to let me know he was on his way almost exactly on time. He was very patient and explained everything he was doing during the whole process. He made us feel comfortable with what was going on and even left us with some helpful tips.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I usually go through craigslist, but when my outside HVAC Unit fan stopped spinning I knew I needed a professional. I actually chose Action Air based on the number of great reviews they had here on

I scheduled for a 7 am appointment. The Tech was right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and had the part on his truck. After he replaced the motor, he noticed the breaker switch outside was broken. He went and picked up the part and installed it for no extra labor or charges.
Reasonable prices, and outstanding service.

Awesome company. I called them and they had someone out within the hour. Their technician had excellent customer service. Very fast and reliable. Talked to me very clearly and made sure I understood everything in detail. Made me feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and had my A.C. running strong again in a couple hours. I would recommend these people to anyone looking for a reputable quality company to get the job done right.

I have used Action Air at every Condo and house I’ve lived in for the past six years.
I met them by accident — my neighbor had called for service and I said «hey, since you’re in the neighborhood, can you fix mine too?»
Not only did they fix it right away, they can me a number to call in case anything happened.
Years later after I bought my own place, they fixed that unit and eventually replaced the entire set up.
I can’t say enough about Tracy, Brent and Charlie. They show up when they say they will, are honest and the price is right.

Absolutely amazing customer service and honest to boot!
So we woke up this morning at 6am to a very hot house because our AC had gone out over night. What a great way to start they day! Luckily my husband had Action Air Conditioning on the phone within the hour of us discovering that our AC was out. We have used them twice before and knew Action was a great company to deal with. He called them and we had an appointment scheduled for later in the afternoon today! Yep, that’s right, TODAY, the same day that we called!
The technician was here by the time promised. He even called to let me know he was on his way, which I always appreciate, since it helps you plan your day around the service call. When he got here, he asked me what was going on. I told him the issues and he went to work right away. After a bit, he had figured out the issue (a blown circuit board) and explained what he needed to do, how long it would take, and the approximate cost to replace the part.
So after sweating my tail off all day, I told him to go for it and fix the bad boy ASAP. And what do you know, the AC unit was fixed within the time frame promised and for the exact amount we had discusses previously. No mysterious charges or parts were added to the bill. He even showed me the messed up part, which was a circuit board with a blown out hole the size of a dime, and explained what happened to cause the problem in the first place (thank goodness for circuit breakers).
My technician was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgable, and good at his job. The call center was friendly, courteous and very helpful when arranging my service call. This is a top rate company that does great work honestly! Thanks Action Air Conditioning, Inc. for fixing me up and treating me well. I hope I don’t need AC service for a LONG time, but if I do, Action will be who I call over and over again!
