Joy helped alter my wedding dress back in 2013 and it was the best experience I had with such an important alteration such as my wedding dress! Joy is professional and if I had to get somebody to alter an important formal wear I would go to Joy. I told her I would write her a good review then, so here I am years later writing her a good review!

Great service with personal requests! I have brought two different things to be sewn, outside of normal cleaning. They are professional and quality of sewing is eeally good.

This review is for the tailoring: They are patient and did a great job. We were looking to get a suit tailored in a few short days. When I called her to ask how long it would take, her response was «when do you need it by?» We brought it in on Saturday afternoon, needing it by Wednesday, with Sunday being Easter. She had it done no problem, and even made MORE requested adjustments the day we picked it up. Amazing. Definitely would recommend. Quick, reasonable, and well-​done! We will be going to Joy’s for all of our alternation needs from now on.

I’ve been meaning to update my last review for a while now. Please read that for reasons I won’t be coming back. But things just got worse.
The last time I picked up laundry there, one of my t-​shirts had some weird white streaks on it. It was not a cheap t-​shirt (James Perse $ 50). The owner told me not to worry, it would wash out. It didn’t. I took it to another cleaner. They said it was stained because it wasn’t washed correctly. They rewashed it at my request, but the streaks remain.
To sum up. These people lost my comforter, gave me attitude about it, refused to pay me enough to replace it, ruined an expensive t-​shirt, and lied to me about it. Take your business elsewhere.

Excellent tailoring of 2 sport coats that were too big. Coats were returned quickly and their craftsmanship is superior. There was no trace of coats being cut or modified. Buttons were replaced and fit was great. They do high quality work. I did pay about $ 50 per coat to bring in from the back, shorten sleeves and replace sleeve buttons. If you want quality work, this is the place.

Needed a dress hemmed and only had a few days to get it done. After seeing great reviews about Joy’s on Unilocal,I decided to see if they could help. The staff is super friendly, just like the other reviews said. They were able to get my dress done on time and for a reasonable price. Will definitely be coming back!

Where is Joy? It has been a couple of months since I have seen her. New people are nice but Joy has been my seamstress for many years. I really miss her and our chats. I hope you are healing.

Went in an with a quote of $ 12-​$ 15 to have pants zipper completely removed and changed. After I went to do the pickup, the owner stated she was able to make the changes without having to change the whole zipper she showed me that the zipper was only missing and that the zipper itself was in perfect condition. She bottom part of the zipper where the zipper came out and sewed and reinforced so that the zipper piece will not come out again. The cost was less than she originally quoted. That’s customer service. They look out for their customer.
My wife is now getting her dress trimmed will let you know more later.

I read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to stop by. This cleaners is great. Customer service is amazing Joy greets you and makes you feel welcomed. I took my dress was a bit scared since it was my wedding dress, but she did an amazing job. She made my dress strapless and an inch bigger fit perfectly. I’m definitely going back thank you Joy!!!

After reading several different reviews I decided to go to Joy to have my wedding dress altered. As you can imagine I was incredibly nervous, but from our first meeting Joy was so wonderful! She is kind, patient, and provides great customer service. She really listens to what you want and ensures you are happy with every alteration. In the end my dress fit like a glove. I received so many compliments and even took a 2^nd dress back for alterations. My husband also took his suit 3 days before our wedding, since Men’s Warehouse was terrible, and she was able to get it back to us, altered perfectly. Her prices are reasonable and definitely worth every penny! Joy– thank you for us look beautiful on our special day!

Good location for dependable alterations. Prices are a little higher than I’ve been paying, but old location currently having some issues.

My family has been coming here for years, and every time you walk in, Joy always welcomes you with a cheerful greeting and smile. You can tell that she really does care about her customers because no matter how busy she may be, she always gives you her undivided attention in order to provide the best service possible. We’ve used her for alterations and cleaning and we’ve never had a complaint. Her prices are great and she tries very hard to accommodate your schedule. I highly recommend coming here!

Excellent little mom and pop shop with the ladies who knows what customer service is all about. I have had a few alterations and some sewing done buy these folks. Stitch one purl 2! They’ve got my vote

Joy provided superior service and a top notch job on my husband’s heavy duty leather jacket that needed a new zipper. She completed the job in the time promised, did a fantastic job (it looks like it is the original zipper), called as promised (how often do we as consumers always seem to have to follow up these days??), and was as nice and pleasant as could be. I certainly plan on returning to Joy’s Cleaners for repeat business. Joy has certainly shown that she takes pride in what she does.

Joy is great! She goes over and above what other drycleaners do. I take in my husband’s military uniforms and she always knows the proper way to clean, press and alter them with military approved standards. She is very talented at altering garments. I enjoy her smile and superior customer service. I RECOMMEND JOY’S CLEANERS.

I chose this place based on the good reviews but my experience wasn’t as great. I walked in and the woman was sitting down, on her cell phone, speaking some language unbeknownst to me. I was smiling and nodded my head as a sign that I can see she’s on the phone but I’m here. She said neither said anything, at least not in English to me, nor did she nod back as in an acknowledgement or anything. I continued to look around and then I gave her another glance. She got up from her chair, still on the phone, and I can only assume she was saying she would call them back stil in the language other than English. She gets to the counter and I ask, «Can I have this shirt pressed.» The shirt is a cotton long sleeve button down nothing special, no delicate embroidery to avoid, no sequins, just a plain olé shirt. She responded that she couldn’t press it without washing it. I said ok. She asked when I needed it and I said, «Well can I have it by today?» and she said, «no. „
“Tomorrow?“
“No.»
“By When?” Mind you it’s Thursday morning.
«On Saturday.»
Long story short to press a shirt was going to take two days which to me is absolutely, unnecessarily too long. I don’t think this is a real cleaners. I think she has the stuff shipped to the real cleaners and brought back. This store must be a front for something else. I won’t be back. Good luck everyone.

I had a few skirts that I needed the hems fixed on, so I consulted good ol’ Unilocal for a place to handle the alterations. I decided to try Joy’s based on the 2 previous 5 star reviews and it’s proximity. I also had a few shirts I needed dry cleaned too, so I was able to kill 2 birds with one stone.
My garments were done on the day and time they were promised. The hems on my skirts were mended perfectly. A stain on one of my shirts didn’t come out the first time, so the woman there (I can only assume the owner) told me she was putting it through again to try to get it out. When I went to go pick that back up, she remembered me, knew exactly where my shirt was without even looking at the ticket and couldn’t have been nicer.
Joy’s Cleaners is everything a small, independent business should be – quality work and outstanding, personalized customer service.

That’s the reason why they take care of their customers like family as well. Every time I come here, either Joy or her husband offer warm greetings. You can never go wrong with service. The price is a buck or two expensive than the nearby cleaners but the service here is really impeccable.
