This is truly one of the worst bars I have ever been to. It actually may be the worst bar I’ve been to. I love hole-in-wall type places, but this is just plain bad. I would like to specifically call out how horrible the bartenders are that work here. I was there on a Friday night that seemed exceptionally slow(I was with 4 other friends, 1 other couple was sitting at the bar), and the two lovely bartenders who were working made it seem like such a chore to wait on us. If I were at a bar that was slammed with several people waiting for drinks, I would have understood. But, these two girls were downright rude. I even asked the bouncer for their names, so I could call the manager to complain the next day(I would like to add that I have NEVER done something like that). I wish I could give it less than 1 star. To be fair, I’ll add that their drinks were reasonably priced. So, if you like dark bars, with nasty bartenders who will tell you off for ordering a drink after you tip them, and really bad music — this place is for you!

Best happy hour in Lakewood. As long as you don’t mind not having a patio this place rocks. First off, the happy hour goes until 8pm instead of the typical 6 or 7 cutoff. Also, draft beers are only $ 1! Way cheap. That goes for domestics but I know Angry Orchards are only $ 2 or $ 2.50 which is still way cheap. They do cheap shots too which I think are half off. I know the Bulleit Bourbon is only $ 3. The bartenders are always super cool and down to Earth. They are not trying to scam you or cheat you out of your money. You may even become friends with them. Monday night they have trivia starting at 8:30 which usually draws a good crowd. Tuesday nights are karaōke and $ 2 everything(minus top-shelf) and it gets packed these nights. Sunday night is service industry night featuring the same deal without the karaōke. The weekends are a lot of fun here also as they usually have a pretty decent band up on stage. Mostly cover bands but they do get their originals in as well. You can always check the schedule they have posted. Plenty of room in the parking lot too or you can usually park at the dentist office next door when it fills up. Come here with some friends and you will have a great time. As always with Lakewood bars you can get your group of d-bags running around but that has nothing to do with the bar. I have met a lot of cool people here. Worth a stop on your voyage in the sea of Lakewood bars.

Remember that hole-in-the wall bar at college that smelled horrible? Yeah, they replicated that smell perfectly. I’m 99% sure that I was given well whiskey in my double Jack and Coke. If you are looking for a place with a decent atmosphere this is not a spot to try. I’d honestly prefer drinking in their parking lot instead of the building. If your all time favorite band is playing then it might be worth going. Check the date of this post because if they don’t change their business model I expect this place to be out of business within 2 years.

This place was horrible, it reminded me of McCarthys back in the day. I went because my buddy is recently single and for some reason felt it necessary to attend this wretched creation of a bar. The door man was draped up in a skin tight security shirt and a cowboy hat, wtf?! I really have no more to say, stay away!

Not a fan so I’ll keep it short. Limited seating and filled with frat looking boys. Somehow I’m still dragged here every once in awhile. The only redeeming quality is «sometimes» good bands that play and the karaōke. Which is only fun when intoxicated.

This bars done. as a person that works in the bar/service industry I will never return. After tonight I will see to it that none of my friends return. Came in with about 18 people, even mix of guys and girls. Spent at least $ 500 within the group. Fight broke out the bar backed with the assholes that started. This bar will not get our business and I will spread the word. When someone comes in and spend hours and money at your bar you respect it. Not the scum bag that just walked in with 10 dudes… Good luck

A great place to start the night and keep it going!!! My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Friday night around 10:30 to get the night started. A live band was playing behind the bar and sounded great. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The bartenders were friendly(and hot). Drinks were not expensive and poured correctly. The Bartender even did a couple shooters with us. Highly recommended!

Not personally big on this place, but somehow I get dragged here occasionally. There is a very mixed crowd and usually everyone is getting pretty drunk. That can actually be fun… if you’re not being too serious. If you stop in on Tuesdays, most drinks are just 2 bucks! :) The bartenders are generally friendly also. The music and crowd are not really for me… but if you love kereoke, I could see you loving it here. There is a pizza place called Guy’s attached that sells 1 $ pizza slices if they are open. This bar is great to go with a group.

My friends brought me here last night. I didn’t really want to go. We started off with a beer next door at the Kenilworth. My friends call it the«K Hole» which I think is one of the funniest and best nicknames for anything. Maybe I was just a little buzzed. I could not stop laughing about it though. We came here after«K Hole» and I was not too impressed. There are a lot of good looking young drunk chicks moving around like jelly fish which is great to look at. The music is not my style because it is not good. I am a veteran of Lakewood bars. I am not proud of it. That is why I don’t go to most of the places around here. I had some flashbacks last night and felt like I transcended time and space back to McCarthy’s circa 2001. The Avenue Tap House is carrying the torch that Paninis at the Riviera first lit and passed along to McCarthys.

I love this place, we go here every Friday night, and usually stay. Always something fun going in. Drink are average price wise. Staff is great. Always someone good playing.

The owner may have gotten rid of the Put-In-Bay island theme by updating things a bit inside, but as my grandfather taught me many years ago… No matter how hard you rub you’ll never polish a turd. Sadly, the crowd hasn’t changed. The pizza that they serve — made by Guy’s Pizza — is no better then the $ 3.992-pack of pizzas you buy at any conveninece store. No taste, bad sauce, and really sparse amount of toppings. I suppose if you’re smashed out of your mind it’s okay, but what isn’t at that point. If you’re in the mood to hang with the dredges of Lakewood, and listen to shitty cover bands… you’ll love it!
