Clean It Up Rich

I got Rich’s number from a realtor to have our house windows cleaned before we put it up for sell. Rich showed up when he said he would quoted me for a 2 level house and did all the window inside (which now I can’t say that he did all of them because I didn’t sit over his shoulder as he worked) and once finished he removed all screens from the first floor as requested. Now the problem is he kept all the screws that went to those screens and refused to get on a ladder because it was windy that day and said he would come back to finish. Weeks later only after my realtor and I calling him multiple times to get back to finish the job I was then told he came back out around 7pm and finished the 2^nd level which I don’t believe that he did and I know he didn’t do the inside sun Windows because nobody was home to let him in to do so. Then more calling and more calling to get him back out to finish the job and return the screws he took off with but to no avail. The only response that was initiated by him first is when I didn’t pay immediately when he sent a invoice for the work he did without ever telling me came and finished the job. Today I still haven’t gotten the screws even after texting a time to come out and he said he would replace them. I paid in full for his services even after I had told him on the phone that I TRUST he would finished the job when he hadn’t. Rich is a flake and untrustworthy I would never use his services again and I believe with a quick search on the internet you will find similar reviews to this one.

Rich came and washed half my new windows but needed clips to finish. Clips were delivered and he said he’d be back out to finish. Didn’t happen. I had paid him in full and he later agreed to reimburse for 10+ windows not cleaned, but I haven’t heard back from him since.

Rich came out and did a wonderful job with our window. He took his time and was very thorough. He also pressure washed the outside of the house and made it sparkle.
We were very happy.

I’ve used Clean It Up Rich twice, and Rich McGowan is professional, «green», reasonable, and does a great job. Can’t ask for any more than that!

They came out for Living Social deals. I came home after he was done and wasn’t happy with the windows. I didn’t feel like they were really cleaned well and when I called back, he agreed to come back and redo them. I guess they set me up for something through their automatic scheduler but I didn’t get the message. I spoke with him on the phone to reschedule and he said he would call me back. Long story short he never came back out and didn’t return my phone calls after that. He was nice but I didn’t feel like the quality of work was that impressive and then was not pleased that he didn’t come back out like he said he would.

Update to my previous review: Richard got in touch with me and reimbursed me the $ 40 for the scratched window. Besides the one problem, resulting from my having one window that was actually plastic and not glass, the windows he cleaned looked great.

Purchased two Window Cleaning Certificates on Living Social, scheduled my service on his website, got an immediate confirmation, then received an email about a week before my service to confirm again and explains other services they offered and the process.
My appointment was scheduled for 2:00, but Rich was there by 1:30. He was very courteous, informative and just does an amazing job. My house was built in 2001 and the windows haven’t been cleaned since then and it is amazing how great they look now! Rich does great work, is very professional, and genuinely seems to enjoy his job and helping people. I highly recommend this business!

I too heard about Rich through the Living Social deal. The appt booking process was great, and Rich arrived on time yestereday to do the job. My windows look great — I would definitely hire him each year, since this is one chore I have no interest in doing myself!
One thing to note: the LS deal was for 10 windows, and each window that opens counts as 1, so if you have a large window with 2 openings in it, that counts as 2. Just something to keep in mind. I ended up having all the windows of my house cleaned — $ 5 each additional. It was well worth the cost!

We hired clean it up Rich and after 2 no shows we cancelled completely. He didn’t even call to say he wasn’t coming until we called and left 2 messages. We would NOT recommend hiring this company.

I purchased a living social deal with Clean It Up Rich! and it was a fantastic experience. Rich’s customer service is superb — the kind you just don’t come across too often these days. We had a few bumps in the road on our scheduling — I scheduled through the website, no problem and extremely convenient. I received an email confirmation of my appointment, and a reminder email letting me know how to prepare — which I found to be very helpful and professional. The day of my appt., which was in the afternoon, Rich called to say they were running a bit late because the previous appt. was bigger than the customer had scheduled. No problem, an hour or so wouldn’t make a difference. Unfortunately, that hour turned into a second hour, etc. Rich kept us informed of the delays, and finally since it was getting so late in the day, we rescheduled our appt.
The communication throughout the day, from Rich, made the experience smooth and stress free. He was extremely apologetic, and even sent me an email that evening asking how he could make sure I am happy. Well, gosh, it wasn’t something he could control — no worries! We rescheduled to another day, Rich and his team of 1 arrived on time, were extremely courteous, did a FANTASTIC job on my extremely dirty windows, and earned themselves a new customer for life.
At the end of the cleaning, Rich and his partner took quite a bit of time talking with me about how to maintain our old, original windows for the most efficiency. It was such helpful information — it was almost worth the money just for the follow up advice!
Rich and his team are very professional and they do a really great job. I highly recommend their service to make your views sparkly clean. It’s a huge bonus that they are a local company — always my first choice!

I hired rich’s services via a living social coupon. in general, living social deals have been hit or miss for me because half the time it seems the merchant kind of resents the fact that you’ve gone that route (what, they were forced to do it?). not at all the case with rich. i felt like he was happy to be there.
i made my appt on their website. i received an automated confirmation almost immediately. then, a week before they were coming i got an email explaining how i should prepare for their visit — very helpful. the day before the scheduled date i got a reminder email. i love this kind of efficiency.
they were scheduled to arrive at 7:30am. i know that for most service people that usually means 7:30“ish”. but at 7:29, here came two trucks. and at 7:30 on the dot i was shaking rich’s hand as they entered our home. impressive.
super nice, friendly, thorough. not even an inkling of upsell pressure. they did a fantastic job, and even went above and beyond by doing a few extras and not charging me for them (such as a few extra window surfaces, cleaning construction debris, etc). they also pointed out two areas that need the attention of our builder (ours is a new construction) — missing caulk type things. thanks for that, i hadn’t noticed.
i love that they are a local business and i highly highly recommend rich and his team. they’ve got my business for life.

I have to give him 5 stars. Do you have concept how hot it will be working outside in Texas Summer. It’s very difficult.

Fantastic job by Rich and his crew on our exterior windows. They arrived on time, were friendly and very thorough. I will absolutely use them again.

Rich is professional and provides fabulous service. He and his team came into clean our windows and did a great job. He had me go around the house and check out the windows after they were done, i found a couple that I wanted to be touched up. Without hesitation both he and his team went back to fix it (even with a smile on their faces). Rich takes the time to get to know you and what is important to you. He is not like other companies where they are in to clean and out. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again. In fact I already have him coming back to clean my outside grill and granite counters. Can’t wait to see how he can get that sparkeling clean :)
