Meike knows Portland already better than her husband, who is native to Portland. Over the past nine years, she took extensive time and joy in discovering the unique cultural, recreational, and social opportunities that Portland has to offer. She currently spends her spare time with competitive dragon boat racing, several German social groups, and volunteering for Zeitgeist Northwest and Habitat for Humanity. Meike is a German native, born and raised in Hamburg. While she attained her Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management in The Netherlands, she also lived in Panama, France and the USA. Therefore, she can relate that moving can be an exciting new adventure yet is often also stressful and emotional. Different cultures and lifestyles often take time to be explored and to be adapted to. Based on experience and a great network of professionals, Meike can offer tips and contacts helpful for relocation.
